Hey evreyone.
I just got a new Tytn 2 and I decided to install Froyo.
I installed HARDspl and dzo's 2.6.32 kernel.
When I try to call it says no network connection.
Should I install a new kernel?
One more thing,when I installed the kernel I did using windows mobile.
How do I run hardspl on me Tytn 2?(I tried pressing power and camera when booting up).

Hi all,
maybe you have already heard of Rhobuntu, an Ubuntu running on HTC Touch Pro 2 (Rhodium). Well, since, our kernel supports not only Rhodium but also Topaz, Blackstone, Raphael and Diamond, we decided to tweak Rhobuntu in a way that it runs on all these devices and not only on Rhodium. Rhobuntu is not a ROM and not an emulator. It boots out of Windows Mobile the same way Android does.

Good news, i tried Ubuntu but calibration and Wifi was not working. Hope it will work now.

I guess you should go to "Preferences" in Wicd manager and change "Wireless Interface" to wlan0.
Thanks it works. Now I see my wifi in list... But I am not experieced Linux user and when I want connect to my wifi it writes "The network requies encryption to be enabled"
I have just WEP key in my WIFI, where I can enable encryption? Thanks

ive got wep too but mine doesnt accept my connection.
i just enabled encryption but when i typed in my wep code it wont connect

Did you select "WEP (Passphrase)" in the list over the Passphrase input field?
Don't know, why you'd like to use WEP, though. It's extremely unsafe and can be hacked in less than one minute

its funny that u shd ask this question here instead of the hero thread in hwz forums. and i'll bet this thread will be moved to Q & A very soon.
anyway as a fellow countryman, I'd say jus because yr mobile network isn't working doesn't mean u need to switch roms. there are a lot of factors that can affect yr mobile network.
have u tried deleting the APNs and manually adding new ones? have u tried factory reset? i don't think singapore roms are available online except maybe htc service centre.
Your network is not working since you have not entered your APN"s.Do you have a starhub or singtel connection ?

i am using this ROM [ROM] Rooted Official HTC Android 2.2 (FroYo) ROM [Market issue fixed] , i updated the Radio also , since then my mobile internet is not working, it says incorect APN settings , but my settings are correct , is it possible that the Radio update is to be blamed ( i don't exactly understand what the radio update does) . can any1 help ?
try resetting APN.. my mobile internet didn't work either after upgrade but i reseted the settings,switched off desire and turned it back on.. worked fine.
unfortunately it had no effect , any one else have any ideas ?

Same thing happened to me. I manually added the APN, and it worked.
Same ROM and it's working better than 2.1 for me once I set the network provider manually. The APN settings were already inserted.

I'm having the same problem.
How do you manually set up an APN?
Sorry for bumping this up and posting this kinda late, but you can find settings for your APN by requesting them from your mobile service provider. Try googling 'provider name' APN Settings. Then just add them manually.
Hi,
i have on my HTC Desire the Problem that if i am longer logged in a WLAN network, the automatically switch from Wlan into the 3G network is not working when i leave the WLAN.
I have to connect into the "Flightmode" and back that the Desire switch to 3G.
My Desire is rootet and i have this problem with all ROMs i testet (Redux, GingerVillain, LeeDroid, MIUI).
Does anyone have a solution for me?

i had a similar problem on stock 2.1...my problem was my APN settings (i had a proxy listed and once i removed it, my problem was solved)

Also i reseted my APN Settings to default - it seems that this is not the problem?!
see if you can find the APN settings for your specific carrier on the internet to check they are correct...other than that, i have no idea, sorry

It seems Samsung is doing something in their servers.
I have got Network not available (oxff03) error these days in my S8500
Some friends with S8530 have the same problem, so it must be a problem in their servers.

Oh okay then.That's why i cant even connect with my account...but my main connection with the apps is the 3g(sim card) so i have to pay...how can I turn it on wifi?
Just click on the clock at the upper line - a toolbar appaers where you can also switch in the silent mode and BT on/off.

I know that... my problem its that the 3g is the default connection for the apps
Ahh ok
Click on settings/ scroll down to Samsung Apps and set it on wifi. Now it should work.
Upps I made a mistake - this settings are just for the Updates if I´m right !?
But it´s curious because in normal case the phone changes automatically from 3g too wifi when you select it ! Did the 3G symbol changes into the wifi symbol ?

ok you said that you installed Bada 2.0, right ? Did you flashed your device or is ist available via KIES ? If you flashed it please try to flash it once again maybe it´ll fix your problem.

I flashed my friend's phone too and he cant access samsung apps like me...Can anyone send me a bada 2.0 update for wave 723 s7230E
