Cyanogenmod 6 Install Issues:
I have tried to install Cyanogen 6 RC3, 6.0, 6.1 and 6.2.
I have radio 2.15.00.07.28...
Every time I install one of these roms through rom manager. I do a full wipe and end up with the white HTC Incredible splash screen for up to 20 minutes. I then have to reboot and restore my previous rom. I had 5.08 working fine but would enjoy Cyanogenmod 6 if I could get it to work.
I have also tried to re-wipe cache/data after the frozen splash and I still get the same product.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance

Have you tried manually downloading the ROM, then booting into recovery and wiping/flashing from there? You may want to try.
I have tried that and received the same issues
Try wiping davlik cache too.

I tried wiping davlik. That rebooted the phone several times to the splash screen...then went to the unending splash screen. Thank you everyone for the feed back. I will continue to try your suggestions.

U have no files on sd card entitled. Update.zip?
Sd card formatted To fat32?
Other roms install fine?
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
I will try reformating my card again. What do you mean by update zip. I have tried installing cm6 via direct PC download install zip from SD in nandroid. That didn't work....I have removed any hboot update zips from my root on SD. Still no luck it seems like a very strange issue.

If you know it's a problem with not wiping properly, might I suggest Calkulin's format all zip?
I have a Droid Incredible and I am currently running CyanogenMod-7.0.2.1-Inc. I have tried to install roms from rom manager and also some roms from the sd card and i have been having issues. When I install a rom, the back up works fine, the installation looks like it worked perfectly too, and then when it reboots, it hangs at the HTC Droid Incredible spash screen. I am having problems with every rom I have tried. Please, can someone help me out!

Are you wiping data and cache?
Make sure you use the correct CWM recovery for each ROM. Some may say they are compatible with CWM 3 but will leave you hanging. I had this problem with the Warm Z 2Point2. It would not load past the white HTC Incredible screen. I flashed CWM recovery 2.5.1.2 and it all worked fine.
I also heard that CWM 2.5.1.2 performs a better wipe of data cache and dalvik than the CWM 3. Though they say.

Thanks I am gonna try that! Because I loved that rom but once it booted for a while it would constantly reboot, then the only way to stop it would be to take out the battery, then I restore my back up! It was so annoying! But I am going to try that, thanks!

Hello, just checking to see if anyone can help, everytime I try to install a new rom it says that it installes but then when I reboot it boot loops after the htc evo 4g screen. I have used clockwork recovery and also used ra-supersonic-v2.3. The only thing I can install is my nandroid that I have from a previous rom. The new update wont boot either. If any one can help please let me know.
Try wiping everything and then flash the rom. And dont flash two zips at yhe same time.

I have also used a format all.zip, nothing. everytime i wipe everything multipule times it does the same. Only the nandroid works no other roms will. Please help

Yes i did try diffrent recovery's no luck
well clockwork is your problem. lol. install amon ra v2.3 recovery. once on there wipe everything in the wipe menu except the rotate settings and the sd-card. flash your rom of choice and you should be set.

Hello forum,
I recently switched from CM7 because I was having some issue with random resets and FCing with Maps that slow down and shut off my phone. I flashed to the New Fresh ROM to try it out. That worked fine, but I missed the pull down notification bar. I tried Salvage-Zen but got stuck in a boot-loop and then I tried Salvage. I got past the boot screen but when the Android pops up even though I click I can't go any further. Does anybody know of a possible solution?
Few suggestions: Are you wiping properly, do you have the latest recovery (amon ra or clockwork), are you flashing gapps, did you update to all the latest radios/wimax/prl?
Why don't you try to flash decks aosp rom!

do you do a clean wipe before flashing roms or are you just installing one on top of the other. I would suggest looking for Caulkins format all zip and run it prior to flashing a rom
Same problem on friends phone just use amon RA wipe everything twice and flash and be patient with the white evo 4 g screen it may take a while there.

I'm wiping completely using both Clockwork and Amon but its still a no go and I flash falls when using aosp. I'll try that Rom and report the results.

The format all was just what I needed. Thank you very much!
I really need some help. I have no idea what has happened to my phone. Anything I d/l from the market or from the computer fc on my phone. I can't use anything. I tried flashing other roms but any ROM I flash just keeps looping the boot image over n over. Even when I try to restore one of my back ups from recovery it does the same it says error while formating data. Then Wen I reboot it just loops the boot image as well. I've tried everything I can think of. If this has happened to anyone please let me know.

By boot image do you mean "splash screen" and "boot animation?" Can you get back to recovery? If so, which recovery and version? If clockworkmos, make sure it's at least 3.0.0.7 or later if your Inc has an amoled screen, 3.0.0.8 if it's SLCD.
If you can get to recovery, power off the phone. Pull the sd card and check that your computer can read it and it's formatted FAT32.
If so, put a clean copy of a ROM on the root of the SD card. Reinsert it in the phone. Boot to hboot (you are running hboot 0.92 right!?) and then to recovery.
In recovery, factory reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik, then flash the ROM.
If you're running an older hboot and/or older recovery, see elsewhere on XDA how to update those first.

Just to add onto the info already posted, hboots and recoveries can be downloaded at: dougpiston.com

Have you tried flashing stock froyo and then doing a factory reset from hboot? And by stock froyo i mean the official ruu with stock recovery.
Next time you try to do a wipe, also go into mounts and storage and format boot, data, system, and cache. This happened to me once and this seemed to fix my problem. Now I do it every time.
Tried a different sd card?
