Hello,
I have a pair Motorola S9 bluetooth headphones. They worked perfectly on eclair, but with the OTA froyo update, none of the buttons function anymore. I can only play music on them. Is there a way to fix this or is there a music app that works better?
Thanks!

I have a brand new evo hardware version 4 softare 3.70. Before i rooted i could use my car stereo to pause or skip tracks in Pandora and other apps. Since I rooted I can no longer use the car stereo to control those apps. I have tired multiple roms but have found none that work. Not sure if it is a kernel problem or what. Would appreciate any help.
Unable to listen music via Samsung Bluetooth Headset HM1100.
I have tried in Latest nightly, Stock froyo and in modded Froyo (Jokerdroid 4.2)
It seems that the A2DP function is not supported by wildfire for HM1100.
Whether anyone can confirm or can provide any application for the same would be highly grateful to me...

my phone works seamlessly with Samsung SBH-650
i never tried jokerdroid, but it works very wel with cyanogenmod
i have tried it with cyanogen mod too....didnt get sucess
From what i see on samsung's website the headset you are talking about is not a stereo bluetooth headset so the chances that it will support music playback are acute.
You can check 2 things though,
1. Long press on the paired headset in bluetooth settings and check if the media option is available, if yes activate it and you can play music.
2. Pair the headset with a normal wildfire (unrooted, s-on) and try the same.
But remember,
Not all handsets play music via normal (single earpiece) bluetooth headsets so if it doesnt work wildfire is one of them..
What technical aspect makes it not to play music. Its so disappointing.....My friends Nokia 5800 plays music on the Samsung HM1100 bluetooth single piece headset...but my HTC Desire HD doesn't.

I think because many Nokia phones output audio in mono to bluetooth devices. My N9 worked with a Samsung and Motorola mono bluetooth headset but my Xperia T can only connect to these same headsets for telephone calling.
Anyone has got a2dp key control via car stereo over stock rom working????

Do you wish your Defy to control the car stereo or vice-versa? Perhaps Headset Button Controller app (trial) is a solution in your case:

Btw, the A2DP Bluetooth profile is only used for transmitting high-quality audio.
Remote control functionality, as in your case, is processed by the AVRCP Bluetooth profile which is supported by the Defy, but your car stereo needs to support this AVRCP profile as well.
More about this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth_profile
I have a Bluetooth headset supporting both A2DP/AVRCP as well as Headset Profile (HSP) for telephony/mic and able to control the defy music settings with the headset buttons. I use PowerAMP as media player and able to swith previous/next track by single click end previous/next album by double-click.
Thank you for your answer. My radio support both a2dp and acvrp profile, with cm7 all it's working perfect even with stock music player and miui music player.
With Motorola stock rom any buttons aren't working. I've tried to plug, unplug, reset radio, reset profile, but its not working. Tested both stock music app and miui music app... any suggest?

I suggest to try the Headset Button Controller app and/or reinstall CM7.

Actually i can't reinstall CM7 because there isn't any way to charge the LiPo battery. I will try now headset button controller....
Your stock rom without Headset Button Controller let you change the track with car stereo commands or Headset Button Controller was the app that has fixed this trouble? Thank you again
I do not a have a car stereo. I use CM7 and have no trouble charging my battery. With PowerAMP as music player on your Defy the Bluetooth headset buttons should work properly. And it has FLAC audio file support. Try this as well instead of the stock player. The Headset Button Controller app just brings extra functionality and tweaking but is not free.

Pardon, mine error. I love CM7 and i've used until i've got DEFY (non plus version). With Defy+ CM7 can't charge battery at today. Sorry :-(
Anyway i've found this.... http://www.appbrain.com/app/headset-button-fix/at.zweng.HeadsetButtonFix
i will try now and let you know.... :-D
This seems work in motorola droid
I'm having issues with the back and forward buttons. I can't go reverse or forward at all. The volume up and down works. Do I need to do a factory reset? What about a custom rom? There is no issue with the headphones as I've tried them on a Samsung Vibrant.
I think it depends on the music app you're using. I use Playerpro & it's worked for me on every rom.
It doesn't work with slacker radio, jango, or standard samsung music app. I can't skip to the next song at all.
It used to work fine before the 2.3.6 update, then with the new music app, it also broke fast forwarding, and the rewind, as I use a Nokia BH-505

My Sony Ericsson mw600 works fine. All its buttons/features. Maybe it's the headset and the update?

Deebo took your bike too?
It could be the update because I've used the same headphones with a Samsung Vibrant, and the rewind and forward work fine. Is there any bluetooth fix? Will a custom rom fix the issue? I would like to fix it because I use my bluetooth headphones when running.
You could try Mr X's rom. It's pretty much stock with root and ciq free. 236 rom too.

I have been having issues with A2DP stop tranmitting audio. I would try to toggle bluetooth, but bluetooth would fail to come on. I am trying a different ROM so I don't know if it was the rom, headset, or handset. New ROM and new headset, about to find out if its the phone.
So I just purchased my second Jabra Wave thinking I had a problem with the first one. I can connect my Captivate Glide with Android 4.0.4 version I927UCLJ3. It pairs and does work with a phone call however, the "A2DP" doesn't seam to work or I cannot find the correct place for settings. I want to stream my audio out to my mono Jabra Wave Bluetooth from music and things like my Pandora. I know both of the Jabra Wave headsets now do support it by using my wifes phone, pairing them and they play audio just fine and they both listed and both Jabra Wave part numbers I have say they support A2DP but no where in the phones menu settings can I find how to send the "music" audio to the bluetooth. I was also hoping the bluetooth mic would be able to be used for my voice to text engine. Has anyone gotten their audio routed to a mono bluetooth and if so, how did you send the audio to it?
