Since no one has been able to help me with my post 2.2 Froyo problem
(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=7972211#post7972211),
I'm wondering if flashing to a rooted rom would re-instal my bluetooth radio?
I've tried wiping my phone, but all that seems to do is, well, wipe all programs and settings. The process takes about two minutes, much shorter than the update to 2.2 took, so I'm guessing it doesn't actually re-instal the OS (as a hard reset in WinMo does).
HTC has told me they are un-willing to help me, so I'm running out of options.

Hi All,
I just bought a HTC 3600.
I have flashed it with the Hard SPL 1.20, Radio 1.50.08.11 and latest ROMS (Schap's 3.2,FInixNOver_3.1.1 etc..) .
The unit seems to work fine but after a while and I think this is random or when I use wifi the OS just crashes. When I reboot I am stuck in the boot up screen not matter what. I have reflashed with 5 different roms and the same result after a while the OS crashes.
I am currently downgrading the radio to 1.46.0 to see if that has any effect. I hope it isn't a hardware fault.
Any input would be helpful.
Try to downgrade to original WM5.

or try to use DES hspl...
never I had a problem whit it!
How old is your phone? Was it OK before the ROM updates?
Did you follow ALL the instructions e.g. typically performing a hard reset before update, not allowing vendor "customisations" to run at first start up, performing hard reset after update??
Get back to the original ROM to check it still works.
Good luck
Thanx for all the replies.
After a hardreset and loading DES SPL.
I have successfully ran ADW ROM 1.2 and radio 1.38 without any problems for the last 2 days. Hopefully it stays that way.
I wasn't aware you had to perform hard reset and then load up the hardSPL, ROM and radio. There was no mention of performing a hard reset in the trinityguides.info.
If this is the case then that was probably why the OS started to become corrupt after half an hour. I was probably loading up bad ROM images.
I will continue to monitor unit for the next couple of days.
Hi!
I'm still pretty new in the rooted world of Android (My first rooted ROM install was the SetROM 1.6 approx), but so far, I got a hold of rooting my phone and installing several ROMS, radio, wiping, backup, etc., and I think I got a pretty good understanding of the fundamentals
Unfortunately I have run in to a problem.
I've flashed the latest radio 32.42.00.32U_5.09.00.08 and installed the Defrost 2.1 ROM, I've done a full wipe and all went well as usually. The other day, while still back in Defrost 2.0f, I found out that I didn't have a data-connection anymore :S
I Tried other ROMS, with the same result, and I done a full wipe each time. I have enabled Market enabler, and I've checked the APN settings, and the correct ones are still activated.
I don't get a 3g-icon og HSDPA, and when I open the internet browser, it just says the page can't be shown :/
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

BTW - could it have something to do with the radio being flashed to a newer version? Or is it something in the ROM that might be changed.
I'm from Denmark, so dunno if we got some other needs that could have been removed in the ROM etc, when it was cleaned
Hope someone has an answer
PS: Where can i download older radios?

went back to SetROM 1.0 and I'm back online after a full wipe...
hmm... guess I better start working on how to get access in newer ROM's
Hi ll,
I really out of ideas here .
I was running Pays 1.9 Bravesoul ROM without any issues for about 4 months on my unbranded Desire(HBOOT 0.75)!
Today I decided to update to Froyo.
I used Rom Manager to upgrade to OpenDesire 3.03 and Radio 32.43.00.32U_5.09.00.20.
Every thing went well, except that I noticed that the MIC doesn't work at all.
Not when I make or receive a call, Not if I try to Mute/Unmute it, Not if i try to Record sound, or Video or WHATEVER!!! The only way the other side can hear me is trough my BT headset.
So I tried to use the LeeDroid 1.7a ROM but same result. Also tried to use different Radio - 32.42.00.32U_5.09.00.08.
I then Nandroid restore to my 1.9 Pays rom (Wiping Data+Cach+ext), but still doesn't work. I tried different Radios:
32.37.00.32U_4.06.00.16_2
32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.02_2
32.26.00.24U_4.04.00.03_2
same thing...
I finally Unrooed my Desire to v1.15.4 Radio 32.30.00.28U_4.05.00.11 without any luck!
So I'm pretty hopeless Please if someone also have / had this issue, Please share!
Thanks!
sounds to me like it's broken mate
i know it's coincidence that it broke as you changed ROM but if it doesn't work on anything there's no explanation
have you tried a hard reset + clearing caches?
if you have then unroot your phone, put it back to your original RUU for warranty purposes and sent it back for repair
by what do you mean Hard Reset?
I wiped all data, I've changed roms.
Currently It's unrooted...
Is it possible for the Radio update to do this? (all the updates went without a hitch)
Or maybe the OpenDesire ROM (I see that v3.03 is removed, do you know why?) did this?
There is no way it a coincidence. I making phone calls all the time, The update took me about 15 min, after which I tried the Video camera and noticed there was no sound...
Thanks!
well, I noticed that the mic works, but extremely week! I really need to shout in order to hear a whisper... I do this in recording...
I'm starting to believe that maybe it's the mimbrein (Or the piezzo) that is ruined inside the mic...
Is it possible to control the gain in software? (Is there still a chance that the S.W upgrade caused this?)
Hey all, long time lurker, first time poster....unfortunately....
So after sitting on MIUI for a good while, and having a blast with it, I decided to try out some other ROMs. I was interested in seeing Cyanogen 6, and so I went about attempting to get the latest stable, non RC ROM onto my EVO. I read into it seeing that I needed to downgrade my hboot, and found the image without a problem (running the .76 right now, had the 9something one before...)
Well, I downgraded my hboot without an issue, flashed the Cyanogen, and got into a splashloop. I figured out it was becaue I hadn't wiped my cache or data before flashing the rom, so I went into the Clockwork Recovery and wiped those, flashed once more, and it booted into Cyanogen perfectly!
Well, almost. I don't have 3G now.
For some reason, I am unable to connect to 3G no matter what I try. My nandroid's broke due to the hboot downgrading, rewiping the cache/data and reflashing cyanogen did nothing, and now for some reason, when I attempt to go back to MIUI, it still will not allow me to connect to 3G. I can send and receive texts, and make and receive calls, but alas, no data connection.
Should I get a fresh RUU and stock hboot, upgrade and restart from scratch? I just want to get back to MIUI at this point with a working, data enabled phone.....
If that's the case, that I do need to start over, where can I find a new hboot for the EVO that isn't .76? I'm pretty saavy when it comes to this stuff, but for some reason right now I just can't figure it out....
HTC EVO running MIUI v0.11 stable
.76 hboot w/ Clockwork recovery
Broken nand backup
whatdo?
Thanks in advance for the help
Sorry for the double post, but I resolved my issue.
I am unsure of what exactly went wrong, but I figured it was somewhere between downgrading my hboot, and flashing the CM 6 stable ROM that my 3G data got scrambled....
So! Using ROM Manager, I made a backup of my working (non 3G) MIUI image, and flashed the Odyxed version of the RUU found here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=836728). After flashing in Recovery, it booted into SenseUI, and worked like a charm!
My 3G hath returned, and issues have been solved. It's nice when you're able to fix things on your own, though I couldn't have done it without the help of that handy dandy search button, and the RUU keyword
Oh, yeah, and I guess xxbabiboi228xx as well.....maybe....^_~
hi
since i did the stock update to 2.3 my desire z is constantly resetting sense when i retur to home screen. in general the phone is slower and battery life is worse than before. i think im not the only one.
has anybody found a solution?
I had the same issue also, nothing worked, not even a hard reset. I decided to take the small risk and temp root, downgrade and install a custom rom.
after a couple of hours of doing research and actually rooting/downgrading and installing a custom rom I now have a perfectly functioning Desire Z with root! double benefit!
If i were you I'd do the same.
you should probably downgrade your device and root. if you want gingerbread, just flash a gingerbread based rom onto your phone. i think sense is resetting for you because of not enough avalible ram.
I have the same issue with 2.3.3... I sent a mail to HTC but they didn't know that kind of problem... Just need to root and flash a custom rom to solve it...
