I know this is kind of a weird request/question...
but is anybody who had the stock mt3gs willing to share their notification tone "bonsai?" I lost it ever since I flashed the custom ROMs. I've been looking around on google, but no dice.
so, any help?
THANKS in advance
Odd, I checked Chiefz OTA/Stock ROM and it doesn't have Bonsai. Only other suggestion may be to look at the stock nandroid backup in the ROM bible and see if it is still in there.
yeah, I'll check on the nandroid once I get back home
Thanks!

So i've rooted my slide and used it for a while and now i'm ready to change my ROM for something custom.
I'm deciding between
CyanogenMod-6 for MT3G Slide - V6.0.0 (08/28/2010)
and
ChromaticSlide v1.2 by Infinitybiff - 2.2-Themed- OC (8/30/2010)
but prior to making this any changes, i've written down all apps that i use, so i could redownload them later.
But how can backup my text messages? or anything else i should back up??
Thanks

Hey man, next time post in Q&A, but:
Chromaticslide is basically the same as CM6 except it has a (very nice) theme. I was running CM6 and switched to chromaticslide and I love it.
To backup your text messages, there's a couple apps in the market all called SMS backup, try the first one in the list. It saves them to your sd card, and when you switch over to your new rom, re-download sms backup and select to restore them.
Any pictures, videos, etc. will stay on your sd card.

2.2 roms usually will automatically restore your apps as soon as you load up the market.
Another vote for sms backup here as well.

Good luck
If you would like to backup more than just SMS, I would highly recommend Titanium Backup! It lets you backup almost everything.

If you do use Titanium backup, make sure when you restore apps, you do not restore app data. It causes issues with Froyo.
I restored the app data aswell through titanium backup and caused no problems so far.

Have you uninstalled and reinstalled? Are you using something to restore the app after swithing apps? If you are using titanium etc just make sure to restore app and not app+data.
Install CM7 Nnightly 76...mms works fully.
This epic reply brought to you by none other than my roxx'd out Evo.
Hi yes I tried uninstalled and reinstalled but its a no go. In the past I do have a habbit of restoring both app+data I will avoid this from now on.
My phone doesn't like asop roms fir some reason. Poor battery life and some features aren't really functional which pushed me away.

Have you tried just reflashing the rom? I learned my lesson with doing app+data a long time ago. Lol

mount your SD card on your PC and take off any folders related to titanium or anything that would restore app/data. nandroid if you like, then flash the sprint lovers stock ROM. try from there. This will at least give you an idea if it is related to bad app data.
I figured it out. Its not the rom nor titanium backup. Its the go sms itself having issue with mms. I switched to handcent it works like a charm. Darn it!!! Thanks all for your help!!!! Much appreciate.

No problem, that seems to be a problem lately...
Can someone help me.. Recently My phone would ring/vibrate to notify me of a text, but when i go to check nothing would be there. So i was constantly missing peoples text messages they sent me. Well last week i figured out what was causing this but i don't know how to fix it. I discovered this only occurs when im on the Internet or using the Mobile Network. If anyone has had this problem or knows how to resolve this please help.
Thanks
Also im Running Synergy RC2
Have you tried re-flashing the rom? Did you install the rom on a clean install?
Yes I've tried re-flashing various times along with a full wipe and still the same thing

Salutations everyone, I've seem to run into a problem in where my Wifi completely stopped working and experiencing a few force closes as well but mostly being that I use Wifi a lot I need this fixed. I am currently running Cyanogenmod 7(7.0.3) if that info even matters and I also have my stock rom on my computer if that helps at all. If anyone could reply back with useful information it would be well appreciated.

Perform a Superwipe+ and install the newest version of CM7, preferably a nightly with good marks.

You don't have to go all the way back to unrooting to fix your problems. Like the other poster said, doing something like a superwipe+ and reflash of a new ROM should easily solve your issue.
Well the reason why I quickly wanted to go the route of unrooting is because I dropped my phone pretty hard(phone is intact still.lol) but it seemed right after the drop my Wifi stopped working so I figured the only way to fix this would be by way of replacement. Anywho, excuse my newbyism but how do I superwipe? Through Clockworkmod? And aren't nightlies not the most stable roms? Thanks in advance..

Update, I flashed back to a previous rom(Cyanogenmod 7.0.2) Wifi started working perfectly again then simply download(F'n throtled.lol) 7.0.3 again and flashed all over again and everything works fine. Thanks for the info.
