I know there are three wireless providers
SK Telecom
KT
LG Telecom
LG Telecom supports EVDO.
I am wondering if at all, is it possible to unlock the Droid Incredible and use the phone in Korea.

Summing up, the phone likely supports their network, but you'd still need to be whitelisted in their carrier databases to access their cell services.
I have no idea about wi-fi coverage on private networks, and whether that would be a suitable option for you. How you might get around their cell carrier whitelisting requirement using data/voice over IP, isn't discussed in that blog post.

HI all, thanks here for all your help. I finnaly have my unlock code from T-mobile UK, for 30 pounds, but i think it is workth it.
Now using the PRO as a phone, it is kinds weird to get used to. I live inthe US and i put my T-MOble US sim card in, when i check the settings, i found out for some strange reason that the GSM band it was using was EGSM+DCS1800, i don't know what this band is, but i noticed that i don;t get enought bars, always loosing signal, and i have put the new 1.08 radio rom on it. My SK65 gets better signal.
The only other option i see there for GSM band is PCS1900, so i have manually set it to this. My question is, which band should i be using? whats the diffrence? and when setting up WAP for MMS, do i use WAP1.2 or WAP2.0.
Also does the UTMS2100 mean it will work on Sprints 2100 network?
Thanks.

All of the Universal forums are full of information about why the MDA Pro is not as useful in the US because it is just Tri-Band. T-Mo USA uses GSM/GPRS 1900 for voice and data. You need to stick to this band alone. Try using WAP 1.2 for WAP. There's no EDGE available on the Uni.
No, Sprint won't work It's different technology using a different standard. You can only use UMTS in Europe, the Middle and Far East. That's why this device is targeted for these markets and was never brought to North America. And it never will be.
Let's hope the successor to the Universal can do it by incorporating the latest technologies prevalent in North America.
I have the HP IPAC 910C and use it with T-Mobile while in the USA with no problems. However, while traveling internationally, it does not work. International roaming is activated on my account, but so far i have not been able to get a signal. I tried to use while in Japan and South Korea. According to T-Mobile Customer Service, only in Canada and Mexico is international roaming available with rep-paid accounts. Is there a programming trick or application available to over come this obstacle?
Thanx for any help!!
I don't know if this is the right forum to ask this question, but I didn't know where else.
In the fall, I'm taking a trip to Australia for about 3 weeks, and I was thinking about picking up a pre-paid sim while I'm there to use for mostly data, but some calling and texting with locals. Right now, i have a Bell SGH-I747M phone that I believe I have network unlocked (I need to go back to stock to double-check, but lets assume its unlocked for now). Will this phone work in Australia? I'll mostly be in Melbourne area, so I would imagine there's good coverage there. Are there certain carriers that it will work for? I've been doing some googling, and can't quite find which carrier my phone is compatible with. It is LTE capable, but I'm not sure how LTE works with other carriers.
Any suggestions?
It should work on Telstra & Vodafone since they use the 850/2100Mhz spectrum for UMTS. Unfortunately it doesn't look like you'll get LTE since the two providers who offer LTE use the 1800Mhz spectrum. Google "Mobile Operators Australia" and you'll find a wikipedia page with the info you'll need.

Hello all!
I have an LG G7 from India, model G710EAW. I moved to the US from Canada and the phone isn't entertaining T-Mobile or ATT SIM cards. When I insert them, service works for a little bit and then immediately switches to "Emergency calls only". T-Mobile's website says my phone IMEI is compatible with its service.
The strange thing is that the phone has two SIMs from Canada roaming - one on the T-Mobile network and another on ATT. No issues whatsoever. And when I check the bands in Engineering Mode, I can see one roaming SIM running on LTE Band-4 on T-Mobile. The other roaming SIM is switching between LTE Band-2 and LTE Band-5 on ATT.
T-Mobile uses bands 2,4,5 mainly, and ATT uses 2,4,5 among other bands. This leads me to believe it's some kind of a network restriction preventing my phone from latching onto these networks directly.
I've made tons of calls to T-Mobile and ATT so I'm no longer interested in pursuing them with this.
I'm wondering if cross-flashing a different firmware might help fix this issue. I remember reading on this subreddit that the Google FI firmware may work for T-Mobile bands. I'm not sure I understood that correctly.
Can someone confirm if that's possible? Does this make sense? I'm hesitant to buy a new replacement phone when my G7 works so well.
Thanks!
Greetings.
I saw a post in this website outlining a method where you can add network bands to an android phone. (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-add-all-gsm-and-lte-bands-to-your-phone.2886059/)
I was hoping to ask if i could do the same to my situation.
Previously i bought a Nokia 6300 4G for the purpose of using it as a mobile hotspot and i found out it only has access to 2G networks since the phone was supposedly for the USA market. I bought it to use it in african carriers to which it doesnt access 4G LTE Bands even though my sim is 4G and works on other smart phones accessing 4G networks.
I was hoping to know if there is a way like in the above method outlined that i can make this Nokia 6300 4G to access international 4G networks and make it work to my carrier in africa. The Nokia 6300 4G uses Kaios as its operating system.
Hoping for your kind support.
