Since there are countless warnings about applying a radio update more than once:
Is it safe to upgrade from 2.05 to 2.15 using the same method applying from the 1.00 radio?

Is there a way to get a no sense rom back when i have installed the new RUU.
Done yesterday evening.

I have tried unrevoked 3.21 over and over and i still am gitting the same error message. "Validation error: backup CID is missing"
Is there any way to fix this?
EVO 4G
HBOOT 0.97.0000
radio 2.15.00.09.01
hardware version 003
Thanks for any help.
From what I have read, it is a known issue and will be fixed with the next release of unrevoked.
Check this thread out: http://www.incredibleforum.com/foru...5775-validation-error-backup-cid-missing.html
Probably not the answer you want to hear; but I hear the next version of unrevoked should be out soon.
Hi there.....
Getting the same error using the latest unrevoked...
Hboot 2.02.0000
Radio 2.15.00.09.01
Build 3.30.651.3
Hardware version 004
So I just received my replacement EVO.
Hardware: 004
hboot: 2.10.0001
Radio: 2.15.00.11.19
Software version: 3.70.651.1
PRI: 1.77_003
PRL: 60675
Can someone please tell me the best way to root/unlock with S-OFF?
I see 2 different recent root methods but not sure which one to use.
Im not sure if unrevoked works on the hboot im running. I havent done much research on unrevoked since I heard so many bad things in the past. I just want a sure-fire way to root and be completely unlocked.
Also, I was wondering which method leaves my current hboot, radio, software version, and PRI alone. Or will I really need to downgrade my hboot? I thought I read somewhere we need to be on 0.76 hboot since the newer hboots dont play well with some roms.
I also see some people using 1.90 PRI. Im confused there cause my replacement is completely up to date and it has PRI 1.77?
Unrevoked works will all current hboot versions.
I'm running Icecold Jelly on my HOX and in the settings-about phone it shows radio-version 2.1204.135.20
When I take a look in the bootloader it says s-on, Hboot .94 and radio 1.1204.104.14
How come that there is a difference in information about the radio version? Which one is the right one?
For some reason it only updates when the HBOOT is updated (via RUU or OTA). The ROM IS using the new radio, though
Thanks for your answer. So, no worries about old radio...
The old radio version appears to be read from a text file in a protected partition . It's not 100% sure, but you probably have the new radio.
Recently i have been looking into upgrading my Hboot for my One X from 0.94 to a new revision its a optus branded CID phone how does one upgrade or even what is the newest Hboot version.
I have been looking around the forums but everything i find is for upgrading to the JB Hboot which i can not do at this time.

Well the newest Hboot for ICS is 1.12.
If you backed up your stock rom just restore so you can get the OTA update to 2.17 that'll upgrade your hboot.
AFAIK there is no 2.17 RUU for Optus, I've tried searching myself.
hmm im currently on the newest Optus Ruu and its says there is no updates and my Hboot is 0.95 now >_< lol
