I'm assuming you're running HKCSL version of Desire? If so, here's the RUU for 2.2. I've tried using it before it and does return it back to stock.
(replace the hxxp with http etc.)
hxxp://ftp.xda-china.net:82/xda2/yuhong/G7/RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HKCSL_CHT_2.11.832.2_R_Radio_32.47.00.32U_5.10.05.23_release_145080_signed.exe
actully, the guy is asking for another roms. but i don't think he is trying to find csl version room, but the original one.

Hi,
I'm admitting a certain amount of Noobness here, but can anyone give me clear, comprehensive instructions on putting my HTC Desire back to a Stock ROM so I can install the official Vodafone Android 2.2 update when it comes out?
I rooted to Neophyte 1.6 which is great, but I want to know how to return to an offical Vodafone ROM to bypass any future warranty issues.
I am struggling to find a download link to the Vodafone UK stock ROM and instructions to unroot. Any links/info out there?
I think this might help a few people out...
Cheers in advance
Ok I found what I was looking for about 5 seconds after I clicked send!
http://theunlockr.com/2010/06/07/how-to-unroot-the-htc-desire/
and
http://shipped-roms.com/shipped/Bra...00.28U_4.06.00.02_2_release_126338_signed.exe
Anyone know how to do this with Vodafone Spain? I cannot see the valid shipped rom.
has any1 got a link to were i might be able to download the 3uk froyo ruu??
Don't think it's been leaked yet
Please then could any one point in the right direction for the slcd 2.1 rom for the desire as i need to put it back to stock as it needs to be returned
What ROM did it come with originally? There are only 2 official 3 RUUs:
1.20.771.3
1.22.771.1
I could be wrong but I think the 1.22.771.1 ROM is OK with SLCD handsets
Early Desires on 3 were on generic WWE ROMs so you can use the latest FroYo ROM if that's the case:
2.10.405.2
Hello all,
I'm new to both the forum and Android so please excuse me if this is a stupid question.
I have a HTC Desire Z (Vision) on Vodafone in the UK. Before I consider rooting the device (if I did it would only be to allow me a full backup option) I wondered if anybody knows where I can get the stock unrooted Vodafone rom so that it can be returned to it's original state if need-be?
From what I have been told (and please correct me if I'm wrong), once the device is rooted, a new unmolested rom is required to unroot the device. I have looked high and low on the net but can't find the Vodafone ROM for the Z (The HD and the Desire seem to be findable but not the Z!!).
Thanks ever so much for your help,
Dav
i am also interested in the stock vodafone rom
couldn t find it in the web
and to make a backup from my installed stock rom i need root,
which a only get if i downgrade my rom to a stock without branding .....
It will be practically impossible to get from another User because that stock ROM will only be in the hands of the manufacturers/carriers. This is because users can't NANDroid backup the same way us rooted users do. Anyways, I don't see the manufacturers releasing them any time soon..
hmm .. that means that there is no chance restoring the branded rom for warrenty
(after rooting the device) ???
Is there a vodafone ROM? I have vodafone branded. but there's no sign of any difference between this and the stock HTC ROM.
i have a vodafone boot animation...
and the version number is different from the original htc desire z rom..
Hi
My phone was bought from O2 last year and came supplied with 2.1
Since then I flashed it with a stock 2.2, now I'm looking to root etc so would like to have a RUU just in case.
Can anyone point me to the standard O2 2.1 & 2.2 RUU files ?
Also anyone got this RUU ( this is what I'm currently running ) :
BaseBand: 32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27
Kernel: 2.6.32.15-gf5a401c [email protected] #1
Build: 2.29.405.2 CL263770 release-keys
Software: 2.29.405.2
Thanks
Why would you need the originals? Simple make a backup of the stock you're running now and you'll be fine. As soon as you root you'll loose warrenty anyway.
I'm running the Reflex Rom with the modified hboot - runs great!

I should had sent you here: http://theunlockr.com/2010/06/07/how-to-unroot-the-htc-desire/
See your other post in ROM Development - I've posted it in there (2.29.405.5 is newer than yours so is needed instead of 2.29.405.2)
For reference, you don't have an o2 Desire but an unbranded Desire - if it was an o2 unit the software version would be x.xx.207.x
EDIT: This is a question and, as such, should be in the Q&A section
not having an o2 (or any) branded phone is normally a good thing in my opinion
2.29.405.5 is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=869048
Turns out (s)he debranded going by their other thread.
To the OP - you don't need the 2.1 RUU as I've linked to the 2.2 one in your other thread

The RUU restore everything, after that you can get warranty again!
Thanks for all the replies.
Yes it an unbranded Desire..
I want the original O2 RUU just incase I had an issue and my goldcard failed !!
Just need to decide on CM7 or GingerVillian and suggestions are welcome.

It's actually DEbranded - if it was unbranded you wouldn't need a gold card to flash an unbranded RUU
rooted fine.
Thanks
Hi guys,
I have a Desire Z which came with 2.1 and Vodafone firmware.
I have updated the ROM today to unbranded 2.2.1 (1.72).
I am under the impression 2.3 has already been rolled out to Desire Zs, but my phone will not detect any updates.
Is there a manual way to update, or a place to download an official 2.3 RUU?
(I can't tell if any of the RUUs in the section are 2.3?)
Or am I going to have to root and install a mod?
Thanks,
All the RUU's can be found at shipped-roms.com
You'd probably want to try this one RUU_Vision_Gingerbread_S_HTC_WWE_2.42.405.2_Radio_12.56.60.25_26.10.04.03_M_release_199043_signed.exe

Thanks, looks like it'll do the job.
Hi,
I have a Desire Z which came with 2.2 (1.83) and it's unlock version.
I am going to update the ROM to 2.3 (htc official version) but my phone will not detect any updates. Also i use Farsi language in keyboard...
Please help me to download rom 2.3 official with farsi support.
Thanks,
