Alternate between Android Stock and HTC CIME Keyboard - Desire General

I have installed CyanogenMod that has stock keyboard.
Since, I need chinese handwriting, I also installed r1-wvga-cime-signed.zip (HTC CIME)
However, I notice that once I switch from Android keyboard to HTC keyboard, I can not switch back to Android keyboard.
Anyone knows the solution?
I also can't kill the HTC CIME using Advanced Task Killer

Maybe u can clear the htc cime's data from application setting

Nope.. no such setting. My desire automatically use the touch input Chinese (htc cime).

Found the solution.
From Android kb, press+hold the "number" button would pop up question to choose the input method.
From HTC CIME kb, only show the touch input settings and the chinese input method.
Solution is .. to press+hold the input box itself to change the input method. Not in the keyboard.

Oh I c. Well nice for u mate^^

TouchPal Keyboard

Hi, I've been looking for the TouchPal apk for a couple of weeks and finally found it - it's still on the developers website! Missing some functions from the WinMo version but very good.

After you install any new keyboard you have to long press in a data entry field (I just press the search button and use its data entry field) and select which keyboard you wish to use.
Hope this helps

Thanks Iain. But I can confirm TouchPal beta do not work on my HTC Desire too.
good find this.
it DOES work.
you need to activate touch pal in the keyboard settings.
then do a long press on any data input, choose touchpal, it then crashes but the next time you come to use a data entry, the touchpal keyboard is there.
not sure what happens should you have to reboot.

HTC Sense, link "phone" button to contacts

Hi guys,
I really hate this T9 dailer thing what you get when you click on the phone shortcut in Sense. Is it possible to link this to contacts or even replace the whole dialer with the Android stock one?
Some of you may ask yourself why I hate it.
Reason 1: you dial people by mistake like all the time
Reason 2: you are unable to hide Facebook contacts
Reason 3: the call list is integrated and I normally need longer to find a contact I called before because he's not where you look for him.

Nearly forgot to mention that I am on a rooted HTC Froyo ROM.

(Q) Voice to Text for SMS

Hi Guys,
Quick question, what is the best way to get voice to text integrated to the keyboard for composing SMS's?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
You can do this with Handcent SMS app, but only on the quick reply, I never got round to finding out how to do it with the main message app, as my Desire went in for repair !!
you can do it with the HTC_IME mod
Any links on where I can download it? I haven't rooted...

Froyo for HTC desire Asia.

It's out now. Plus, we get speech to text on the keyboard without HTC IME mod! Awesome! All go download now!
Edit: voice search is also in there.
