I Just rooted my phone to 2.2 this past weekended. Ive been trying to flash toasted new rom all day and it looks like it installs then when I reboot nothing has changed Can someone help please?

im trying to flash my htc p4000...
i unlocked it, and tryed to flash the new 6.1 rom, now my phone starts up and just freezes on the telus screen.
first i was sent here, and downloaded the 2.4 unlocker, but it kept freezing, so i downloaded this one HERE
used that...it seemed to work, that i ran 2.4 from the first link, which didnt appear to do anything.
than i ran the RUU i had with the new rom nueROM v2.0 Build 5022.
k, i just finished running to official 6.0 rom off the telus website and its booting up now.
PHEW.
this is what happens when an impatient person dosnt get help
if someone knows how to help me out please post....

today i had the guts to change the radio on my DHD
it was working fine.
i flashed some new roms, android revolution and leedroid after boot when it restored my app some were installed and some unsuccessful. I have tried to download some apps but it says "Download was unseccessful.please try again"
things i tried
-i used full wipe 1.3
-flashed android revoultion and RC kingdom
-changed my gmail account
-change the quntry
i really need ur help please it would be really appriciated and sorry for my poor english

I am having the same issue, only I didnt change my radio but did go from CM7 to Android Revolution. I have fallen back to many past roms but am seeing the same unfortunate outcome. Please help.

i got it working,I signed up for a new gmail theres some thing wrong with the old one
Ok i flashed the Orange 2.3.3 SBF but my Camera with a red lens don't work and now i have no signal bars so i wanted to go back to 2.2...
Flashed 2.2 but it won't load passed the red Moto Logo, reflashed 2.3.3 Orange and hey ho is working again but how do i go back to 2.2?
I have tried loads of sbf's but same issue remains, tried 2.1 but get a black screen nothing else again flashing 2.3.3 Orange and phone boots...
Can anyone help me get my phone back to 2.2 actually it's my wifes phone and if i don't get it sorted i am so sleeping on the sofa tonight!
AFAIK, flashing full leaked gingerbread sbf would get you stucked without downgradability.

2.3 can already be rooted. Check the 2.3.4 thread. Root and use open recovery to go back to 2.2

Well i got somewhere, i flashed 2.3.4 before you replied but got that rooted, installed 2nd init and the camera mod along with modding the build.prop to get motoblur working and removed the live wallpapers....
End result working 2.3.4 so happy.
Read the Defy Beginner's Guide (very first post), at the end you find how to solve your issue and how to go Back to Froyo. Following a similar procedure you can install CM7.
Hi all this is my first post but hoping you can help. I've been reading up and tried to root my phone but keep getting a model id error. Does anyone know if it may be that i may not be using a Telus stock room? Some people said to remake gold card. Any ideas?

Hey me again. I got it rooted and installed revolution hd. Found the sound bad during calls and my weather widget and phone time was off. Tried setting manually but found the widget retained the wrong time. When set auto would detect my timezone and the auto change to a half hour diff.
I then tried flashing the ROM again. Same thing. Proceeded to install stock ROM again and all works normally again.
Anyone know why this happened?
Also can someone explain reasoning to install another kernel?
What are the radios for exactly?
Sorry for being noob but this Telus dhd is a pain. I did my Acer a500 tablet in about 20. I was at the dhd for 2 days till i got it done.
If anyone had any tips or tricks please weigh in. Greatly appreciate your help.
I've been trying to figure out for the last hour or so why this rom hasn't been flashing correctly.
1. I've already loaded DZ HBoot onto the phone with S-OFF and had loaded the SenseGinger 3.0 Rom. Loved the layout but it was kinda slow for me. So that's when i was looking up other roms and found RunnyDrOiD v5.0 By PVTEAM.
2. next thing I did was download the Rom Manager, Flashed ClockworkMod Recovery sucessfully and selected install rom from sd card, (in which I had loaded the RunnyDroid rom on my sd card already.
3. Im in Recovery, wiped data, and the installation started. The problem I'm facing is that the installation says it was sucessful and says Rebooting, but the progress bar in the background is still going (looks like it was at 25%). Phone Reboots. Now it'll first start up with the HTC Logo, shuts off, then reboots again with the HTC Logo then goes back to clockworkmod recovery. I attempted to do it again, but still have the same results.
Anyone have any idea that I'm facing this problem? I really hope I can get this on my phone as the RunnyDroid rom looks really clean looking, and with other users reporting it to be fast, It's driving me nuts that I can test this rom out! *sad panda*

actually lock this thread. found out what the problem was. I flashed the wrong hboot. Be sure to use the DZ HBOOT FOR ANYONE HAVING THIS PROBLEM. Thank you all anyway.
