[Q] Any way to sort gallery fotos? - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

As per title, can i choose the sort method for the thumbnails in the stock gallery (image viewer)??
The way it is now, it puts the latest fotos at the bottom of the pile, so if you have a few you have to scroll a lot to get to the latest ones...

+1 on this, if this could be done on either the stock or 3d gallery

How do I get the HTC Sense gallery back?

I downloaded the Vanilla lockscreen and some other vanilla apps. One of them must have set the gallery to "vanilla." Now I get this floaty groups of pictures that tilt when I tilt the phone.
How do I get the stock gallery back?
Juat uninstall the other app..
*This was posted from my Evo 4G using Tapatalkpro! Great app, if you want to browse and post through many dfferent forums*
Thanks for the post, but there is no other app to install. The vanilla gallery is the only app (besides Astro file explorer) that will open pictures by default.
If I download another picture viewer from the market, it does not display in the list of potential apps when clicking on a picture file. For example, if I'm in Astro and I click on a jpg, a little window pops up asking me what program to open it with (since I cleared all my defaults). The only options are Astro and Gallery, regardless of what other apps I have installed.
I do not like the "floaty" Vanilla gallery. It looks messy to me.
Does my question make sense?

[Request] Photo sorting

Can someone please figure out how to mod the code or whatever is needed to have the photos from your gallery be sorted with the latest photos up top instead of all the way at the bottom??
This drives me crazy as I have ton of pics on my phone and every time I take a new photo and I want to SMS it or upload it, I have to scroll all the way to the bottom to find the recent photo. Why did HTC make it this way? This should be an easy fix to have it sort by the latest date/time stamp right? Had this same issue on my Hero.
The little slide pops up on the right and you can skip to the bottom instantly. It isn't that bad. Although someone would probably need the source to change it.

Does your gallery snap to the top all the time?

I really like the stock gallery app, although I used QuickPic on my Evo3D... However no matter if I'm at the Album page, or in an album, when I scroll through the various albums/folders it will snap to the top. Doesn't seem to be an option that I can turn off.
I can record an example if need be.
I'm on LJC (Reading up on going to MA7)
I remember reading something about gallery update with MA7... is this what it fixes?

[Q] Picture order in Gallery app

I found strange that pictures in Gallery app are not displaying in desired order. I mean if in settings are checked "Sort by latest". then in preview pictures are not ordered in such way.
Do others have the same issue?
Of course, it is not a mission critical bug , but very annoying.
Are you using stock rom or custom rom?
I always noticed that it uses the latest image from within the folder to sort the gallery. In stock rom the camera album always shows first.

Camera/Gallery Problem

Hey guys. So I'm having a weird problem with my camera/gallery. Whenever I take a picture or video, I'm unable to view it via gallery right away. What I mean is I would take a picture, but I would be unable to view the gallery through the camera app (the bottom right button when using camera). It's just the grey default picture icon for the button and when I press it nothing happens. Also if I were to try to find the picture by manually going to the gallery app, it would still not be there. The picture does save however. I find it by going through DCIM in a file explorer (ES File Explorer). Once I open the picture through ES and choose gallery to open it, I am then able to access the picture through the gallery app. Sorry if this sounds a bit confusing, it's just a weird problem. Any help would be much appreciated on how to fix this.
What I'm currently running right now is:
ARHD 11.1
ElementalX 1.04
S-Off
SuperCid
Current firmware
Also I'm not sure when this problem started happening because I've never really used camera until recently. So I wouldn't know if it's something I flashed recently or what.
