I cannot for the life of me get it to sync my contacts, I have one contact that synced correctly, but none of the others do. Any help here please

i'm trying to do the following but am having problems with my contacts :
1) exchange contacts & mail <> desire. this works fine using my exchange activesync account.
2) exchange pc contacts & calendar <> desire. this doesn't seem to be working.
i've made sure that i've installed the latest version of htc sync and i've selected both contacts and calendar to be synced but only the calendar appears to be working.
any suggestions ? i'd rather not sync everything with google as i'd like to keep my contacts and calendar entries private if at all possible.

I was using 2.3.3 and now upgraded to ICS 4.04. The problem is in 2.3.3 when I login facebook and gmail I was getting contacts with photos but in ICS 4.04 and cm7 I am getting only contactsd not photos. Please help me with sugestions. I have tried logout and login somany times.
So please can any one suggest me to go different rom in which contacts photos syncronise. Please help me..
I was investigating this issue for some time, and the only "solid" solution I found was - to use a 3rd party app to do it (search SyncMyPix on AppStore). The problem is that if you turn on the facebook contacts sync, it doesn't work always (for me - never). It just downloads a bunch of contact data to your contacts, and you would have to "merge" facebook account phonebook entries with proper contacts manually. So, SyncMyPix worked ok after I gave up on manually setting everything.
I am trying to get my exchange contacts to sync.
I have tried flashing to a new Rom (currently on 4.1 AOKP Build 1).
A different companies exchange server.
Turning off Push syncing and set it to 5 minutes.
E-mail and calendar are syncing fine.
Basically the contacts have never sycned since upgrading to 4.1
Any help would be awesome.

So after I installed Jamison's 4.2.2 AOKP ROM to my S3 everything became more beautiful than before. There is just one issue, and that is my facebook contacts phone numbers will not sync in my contacts app. I have never had this issue before and I have it set up to sync the contacts, but they just won't show up.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've previously used Haxsync to sync photos from Facebook to my phone book but due to the latest Facebook API update this is no longer possible.
Is there other way to sync the images to keep my contact list organised?
