First of all.... flashing might cause damages bla bla bla at your own risk.
Then, this firmware has limited languages: Chinese, Korean and English... Check original thread for more informations.
Everything is did I copying/pasting bits of information from several posts and people. I edited some and changed some in other to provide a convenient flashing tutorial.
**Prerequisites**
Samsung Galaxy S (I used French 8 gig version). Also reported to work on Galaxy S from Bell Canada, I9000M.
Any firmware.
-----How To Flash your Galaxy S with FroYo (non official) (this has been done using a French Galaxy S) ---
**Flash the "stock Froyo" Rom**
Put your phone to download mode (hold down: volume down, home key, power)
DO NOT plug in your phone yet, Odin / driver does not like it at this stage.
Start Odin3 (the one coming from the "I9000TGYZSJP2" archive, see below).
Tick "Re-Partition", check that "Auto Reboot" and "F. Reset Time" have been ticked.
From this archive.
Click "PIT" button and select s1_odin_20100803.pit file.
Click "PDA" button and select "I9000ZSJP2-REV03-ALL-mid-CL505946.tar.md5" file.
Click "PHONE" button and select "I9000ZSJP2_MODEM_CL_502703.tar" file.
Click "CSC" button and select the desired version "GT-I9000-CSC-MULTI-OZS.tar.md5".
Plug in the phone and wait until Odin finds it.
Click "Start" button and wait until phone reboots with the new software version.
**English Spoken**
Then when booted to "desktop": to set English dismiss all dialogs, on home screen go to home (blue, bottom right button..) then go to settings (2nd home screen, blue gear button) then to text settings (the "A..." icon) then the first menu entry and select English.
**Gain Root**
Download root files from here.
2. Extract and copy update.zip to the root of the phone internal memory.
3. Run Odin (the one coming from the "ZSJP2_Root" archive) with Auto Reboot UN-checked, loading the i9000_Kernel.tar as PDA
4. Put the phone into download mode and flash the i9000 Kernel.
5. Pull the battery. reboot into recovery mode and flash the update.zip you put in the root folder of your sdcard.
5. Pull the battery again, reboot into download mode again.
6. Run Odin with Auto Reboot checked, loading the ZSJP2_ZIMAGE.tar as PDA
7. reboot.
**Fix lag**
Use the .apk from the marketplace: "One Click Fix Lag". This has to be done on a rooted device (see above).
**Swype languages**
US English
UK English
Deutsch
Français
Espanol
Italiano
Nederlands
Portugues Europeu
Polski
(Chinese?)
Türkçe
**Quadrant scores**
Before lagfix, about 900.
After lagfix, about 1900.
**Known issues**
A few Force Close (FC) at the begining, but it seems that they tend to disappear the more you use the phone.
Looks like restoring apps and/or system settings with Titanium Backup causes FC on Calendar and Browser. Anyone noticed that too?
**Improvements**
GPS fix seems faster than in pevious FroYo roms.
**Open VPN**
As far as I know, and as far as I've tested, OpenVPN doesn't work on this rom as there is no interface for JPx firmwares. Binaries can be installed, but the interface can't. Using the tun.ko from xda-dev forums doesn't help either. Will keep trying... but not today!
**NB**

My mistake. Doesn't seem to work on this CSC file. Edited 1st post.
you say "copy to /sd on the phone" for rooting
but actually it's copying to / while from windows, or /mnt/sdcard while from android (just for the sake of precision for anyone needing such a howto and would get lost like me ^^)

I did restore apps and settings using Titanium Backup (paid version).
Edit: actually I had to wipe, restoring apps and/or system settings caused FC on calendar and browser. Now everythings works fine!
So, is it actually stable enough for day-2-day use? Cos would really like some frozen yoghurt, but both previous jp2 and jp3 were just unsusable....
Just want to update everyone. This DOES work fine on the Bell Mobility GT-I9000M.
You can use the modem file included, and I have also used the modem file from UGJH2 and both work fine. I am going to stick with the UGJH2 modem however, as it is made specifically for the 850MHZ HSPA Band here in Canada.
OK upgraded my uk galaxy s no issues
Not sure if ill bother with the lagfix right now as it seems as fast as my previous JM5 with lagfix
Setup 3g access point for three mobile no issues
Will keep an eye on it for the next day or so then report back any stability issues
EDIT: Just rooted following the instructions worked fine, as i said im going to hold off the lag fixes for now as it seems as fast

Looking at the quadrant scores I'd say no.
I guess people without the 3 button recovery/download mode should stay away from this right ? Although it should technically be doable via ADB shell...
Official Froyo builds will come through Kies eventually right ? That should be safer...

You are assuming wrong. I did everything that is written in this tutorial as I gathered all the information for myself in order to modify my very own device.
One Click Fix Lag worked like a charm, but you have to use an already rooted rom (as explained in first post).
I'm jumping from JM6 to this froyo rom.
My JM6 had lagfix with EXT2.
When I flashed it with this JP2 rom, I didn't format my internal SD card.
When I run 1click lagfix APK, will it simply overwrite existing lagfix partition?
or create new one consuming additional 1.6GB?
even without the lagfix, this release is fast and snappy.
I can't wait till the real release of the 2.2
samsung has done such a great job

if so, i guess you have to reflash with odin. you could use adb to connect to the phone from recovery and try to fix the problem manually but i guess thats no an option for you ... reflash is the fastest method to get your phone running again ...
yes, i did the factory reset. i want no longer to be wrong, so can you please give me some newbie steps to do the reflash or at least a link? thank you very much, i am no longer in panic!

read flash firmware using odin. i recommend one of the jmX firmwares. the newest of them being WXJM7
thanks a lot for the help, i will never forget you. i was scared of losing the warranty and not solving this issue. if i am right, the method will work because i didnt know that you can make an entrance to the system. i checked the download mode and it works, i am now stuck with my pc until i repair it and on the firmware. 2 questions: 1. if the drivers of the sgs are installed, do i need to remove kies and reinstall it or something like that? and 2. if i did the factory reset, was the internal sd card formatted? thanks a lot again.

1)Hi there. There is no need to uninstall/reinstall kies, in fact u do not have to open it to be able to use odin. You can view this video tutorial first part and second part for illustration purposes. If you are unable to connect to odin you can open kies and reinstall your drivers with it.
2) As far as I know when you do a factory reset only your system reserved partition of your internal sdcard is formatted. The rest of your data in /SDCARD will remain untouched.

theoretically you WILL loose your warranty when you use odin to flash a firmware, in reality the will never find out as long as you don't brick it during flashing...if you want to be 100% on the save side (regarding the warranty) you can also flash the original firmware (JF3 for me) back. personally i would not worry about that ...

as i wrote above i recommend a JMX one (JM6 or JM7) as they are really stable. i use JPC (android 2.2) which works well for me but there are people reporting serious problems like locked phones and overwritten IMEI's. therefore i wouldn't recommend this for unexperienced people...
i don't want to worry you but there are people who managed to brick their phones with odin. it's very very unlikely if you follow the instructions precisely. just that you know ... read the howto's carefully before proceeding!

i agree but desperate people don't care about forum-rules which is why we have so many threads like this in the dev section. i guess the only way to solve this would be if an admin/mod would manually move them
i will consider this and i understand that it has some risk, but i think this is my only chance. also, i hope the 0.05 percent chance of a major electricity fail will not ruine my phone. for clarifying: is this reflash like the windows reinstalation with different update packs? if the process will be done completely, is there a chance for the black screen will be still there? i am a little nervous, not scared as the first time, but if the process dont work, is there any chance to repair it through samsung with some costs?

Hey there buddy.
I can see that you are really concerned about messing things up. But really, don't worry. It has some down falls, but flashing with Odin is might safe. And as was earlier recommended, you can try flashing to either JM6 or JM7. Both are very stable releases. Here are a couple of links, one for the JM6 and the other for JM7. Trust me when I say this, IT WILL BE ALL RIGHT.....
JM6: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=765032
JM7: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=770821
This is another link to a brilliant post by Darkstriker. This is a well thought of FAQ's. It will guide you properly. Follow instructions to the letter and you will be all right.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=723596
It would also be a good idea to do a factory data reset after you are done flashing.
Take the plunge buddy. Be cool.....
Cheers....
Whoops.... Almost forgot. This is a link provided by Darkstriker in his FAQ. This is a faster website to download from. Let me give you direct links to the JM6 and the JM7 and the Odin and PIT files.
JM6
JM7
Odin And PIT File: https://www.wuala.com/Samsung Galax...Odin & Bootloader(.PIT)/Old/?key=AfzUZSU4SpKU
You will need both the files listed on the linked page (Odin and PIT File)
Plus you will also need the CSC files. Choose the correct one from the link below after finding the relevant info from the JM6 and JM7 links. If still in doubt, ask away.
CSC: https://www.wuala.com/Samsung Galax...C fo XWJM6, XFJM6 and XWJM7/?key=AfzUZSU4SpKU

No problem. Will try and walk you through this.
After you have downloaded either of the JM6 or the JM7, and you have extracted the files, you will see the PDA and the modem files. You will also have to download the relevant CSC file that is specific to your region. Also, make sure that Odin and the PIT files have been downloaded.
Let me give you simple steps to work your way through.
1. Make sure Samsung Kies is NOT RUNNING including in the notification area.
2. Disconnect your phone and switch it off.
3. Start Odin
4. Make sure the three options, "Re-Partition", "Auto Reboot" and "F. Reset Time" are TICKED
5. Click on the "PIT" button and select the "s1_odin_20100512" file you downloaded.
6. Put your phone into download mode by using the key combination: POWER DOWN + HOME KEY + POWER KEY. When you see the yellow triangle, release all buttons.
7. Connect your phone and wait for the drivers to get installed.
8. Click on the "Start" button and wait for the process to finish. This will be indicated by the words "PASS" with a green background. DO NOT DISCONNECT THE PHONE TILL YOU SEE THE WORDS "PASS"
9. Remove the battery and put the phone into download mode again. (Step 6)
10. In Odin, click the "Reset" button and UNCHECK the "Re-Partition" option and keep the remaining two options CHECKED.
11. Click the "PDA" button and select the file starting with "CODE"
12. Click the "PHONE" button and select the file starting with "MODEM"
13. Click the "CSC" button and select the CSC file which you have chosen. (NOTE: You will have to extract the file from the CSC package you have downloaded and not the actual archive)
14. Connect the phone
15. Click on the "START" button and wait till Odin finishes its process. Again, DO NOT DISCONNECT THE PHONE TILL ODIN DISPLAYS THE "PASS" MESSAGE!!!!
16. If you are using Multi CSC, follow the instructions from any of the posts for JM6 and JM7: "When using *Multi CSC* you need to type *#272*????# after the flash (in dialer). ???? being the current time displayed by phone. For example if the time is currently 6.25pm you need to type *#272*0625#. Then select the desired CSC version from the list and press "Install"."
You should be fine once these steps are done. They might seem very difficult at first glance, but they really aren't. If you still feel concerned about the process, I would suggest reading the entire post again just to familiarize yourself with the process. I was trembling the first time I did this and it turned out perfectly all right in the end. I am sure it will be the same for you.
Cheers....

Hello again community. I am writing now from my SGS. Wonder how? (I did not the reflash) I don't know, the phone just booted up this morning. I have no idea how but now I will try to not reboot my phone. I think the logo is broken and the factory reset worked.
I still have the MCR app, but the Quadrant scores around 870, so I am no longer rooted.
Thanks all, I surely will need your help sometime... I consider the rooting now not so scary because I understanded that I can not break my phone completely. I will update to Froyo when it will be official and I hope the problem is not any longer in my phone.
Cheers!
Edit: I found a folder in the internal sdcard named ase that has 2 subfolders. In «resources» folder there are 2 files: playlogos1 which is 0 kilos large and userinit.sh, also with 0 kilos. If I am right this is the reason which stopped my phone to boot. What to do with them?

Relax bro.. You'll live longer
So I am finally in front of my PC, but I don't know if when I will reboot my phone it will work. I have the superuser/MCR and the scripts still in my phone and I don't know what to do. I don't really understand why the playlogo1 and userinit.sh files have 0 kB and they are on my sdcard. I think they have something to do with this. That's why I am afraid of rebooting it... but sometime I will need it and I hope I will not have the problem. Also, if I will reflash my phone with JM6 or JM7, which lag fix do you recommend for me? (The phone sometimes really annoys me)
Thanks in advance...!
3/3/2011 - I've been away for several weeks, sorry about that. I've also moved on and will be futzing with my shiny new Xoom. I will not be working on Tab projects for the immediate future, it at all.
Been fun
There seems to be a genuine lack of activity on the Sprint version of the Tab. Hopefully this will allow folks to start making themes and ROM's for the Sprint flavor of the tablet.
This package was created via the "Rotobackup" Method pioneered by Rotohammer and maniac3389.
As far as I can tell, I'm the only one who has done this on the Sprint-flavor of the Tab, so this is all beta and VERY RISKY. I do not recommend using this unless you are VERY familiar with flashing Android devices.
NOTE: This is ALMOST STOCK. The Rotobackup process did not dump the modem.bin file properly. To address this, I used the modem from the Epic 4G (SPH-D700-DK28-8Gb-REL). This modem effectively disables GPS. There is no known fix yet.
Updates:
12/13/2010 - Looks like the package borks GPS. You cannot acquire satellites after flashing.
12/29/2010 - GPS is still broke if you use the package containing the modem. Looks like we will need to wait until an update is released. Feel free to keep troubleshooting the issue, I'll update the OP if somebody figures it out.
12/29/2010 - Uploaded package WITHOUT the modem
12/29/2010 - Introduced Zypher, a fully deodexed updater.
WARNING!!! YOU CAN BRICK YOUR DEVICE VERY EASILY.
THESE ARE FOR SPRINT VERSIONS OF THE TAB.
Instructions:
Backup your settings with Titanium Backup
Do a factory reset: Settings>Privacy>Factory Data Reset
Turn on USB debugging: Settings>Applications>Development>USB debugging
Extract the RAR archive
Open "Odin3 v1.31.exe"
Reboot into Download Mode (adb reboot download)
Do not check Re-Partition option
Click PIT, select pit.pit
Click PDA, Select .tar file
Click Start
Downloads
Download 1 - Stock, no modem - Sprint Only! Use this if you want to get back to stock (rooted). ALL USERS SHOULD TRY THIS PACKAGE FIRST! If you still have problems, then you need to use the modem package which kills GPS (Download 2).
Download 2 - Stock, with modem - Sprint Only! Includes modem from Epic 4G - Only use if your Tab will not boot, this package will kill GPS
THERE IS NO WAY TO GET THE STOCK MODEM BACK AFTER YOU FLASH!!
Download Zypher v1 - Sprint Only! Deodexed\zipaligned. I recommend running a factory reset before applying the package. Settings>Privacy>Factory Data Reset
Zypher Details:
Based off DJ30
Deodexed and zip aligned
Removed startup/shutdown sounds
Added Busybox installer
Added Titanium Backup
Added Z4Root
Added AD-Free hosts file
To do list:
Work in the full screen fix (via Spareparts)
Replace launcher with LauncherPro
Theme everything
Nice work, not that Sprint would allow it, but did this enable dialer functions since it is using an alternate modem file?
Awesome, thanks!
Now who's got a busted Tab to try this on!
Not sure if this is any help, but here's a system dump someone posted....
http://forum.androidcentral.com/galaxy-tab/44323-us-galaxy-tab-sprint-system-dump.html
Dunno. There is no dialer installed and it gives the standard engrish statement "Cannot make or take a call using Galaxy Tab"
I did some comparisons between the sprint tab and the epic, and the modems are identical. I just flashed this and it worked flawlessly.
Thanks again man I appreciate it. You have ressurected my tab.
Wow, maybe I can finally root

Excellent, glad it worked for you.
Nevermind.
I am going to try this now... I had terminal emulator crash on me and it messed up the filesystem or something. My Sprint Galaxy Tablet just says "Samsung" and glows after the intro animation.
I did manage to get the tablet into downloading mode by:
1) turning tablet off
2) holding Volume UP key and power key at the same time until it turns on
and I get little android man with a shovel that says "Downloading... Do not turn off Target!!!"
wish me luck
Why dont you just wipe it and see if that works first?

how would I do that? It won't actually boot up.. Just shows the samsung into screen and says on a screen that has samsung glowing. It will blink after a while and vibrate, then go back to glowing at me.
HOLY CRAP that worked!!!!! I was just about to give up! Notice the many hours between my last post and now.. (6:50am now LOL)
I had to do some other things not outlined in this thread to get my computer to see the Galaxy Tablet in the Device Manager. Basically I tried these things, (try them all if you have trouble, I'm not sure what or which actually worked):
tried to wipe from boot up (turn off, hold volume up and power until it turns on and release buttons)
that didn't work
install Kies and Samsung(android) SDK and JDK (java developer kit)
that didn't seem to work
install Samsung PC Studio 7
ah hah! I see you there in the device manager now!
power tablet off and get to download menu (hold volume down and power until you see the android holding a shovel at the download menu)
Load up Odin, YAY It connects and detects the COM!!
Select the PIT and TAR, start, it downloads and reboots and tab loaded right up!!
Best of all I think it also got rid of the Sprint Activation nag notice screen. It hasn't popped up yet and it has been a good 10 min or so! That would be a nice bonus
You saved me so much time and $$ thanks a TON!!
((side note, Odin loads up and displays GT-1000 not my SPH-P100... I edited my odin.ini to reflect the correct model. not a big deal at all, but I was getting confused at first as to why Odin was saying wrong model, thinking it was doing a detection when it was really just blindly echoing info from the ini file))
Good stuff.
You'd think Sprint would want to leak the firmware to keep people from exchanging/RMA'ing devices. One thing is certain with Android, people will hack the hell out of it.
My bad on the label. The top title in Odin is just that, a title. It doesn't doesn't affect the reload process at all. I'd change it, but uploading another 200MB file isn't on my list of activities today

No more hassle with flashing a KDZ file first, after that rooting and whatever...
Just flash this Zip-file in CWM (no matter what Version 2.3.5 / ICS you have right now.
Please note:
Wipe cache/data/dalvik/battery and also format cache/system/data/ (in "mounts and storage") before flashing the Zip-file or it won't boot after flashing!!!
After flash is finished, reboot into recovery and wipe cache/data/dalvik/battery and reboot system. Now you should be on ICS 4.0.4 and also rooted.

Wipe cache/data/dalvik/battery and also format cache/system/data/ (in "mounts and storage") before flashing the Zip-file or it won't boot after flashing!!!
After flash is finished, reboot into recovery and wipe cache/data/dalvik/battery and reboot system. Now you should be on ICS 4.0.4 and also rooted.

depending on the location, baidu storage can be extremely slow.
anyway, im really enjoying this update, but anyone knows if there is any possibility to get a stable version of CM9 for LU6200?
No CM9 for LU6200, i asked Ricardo (Dev) a long time ago. They never planned to port it to LU6200.
But with the ICS out, i see no need for CM9 at the moment.
@ali_alex: I will upload it to Dropbox and update the Link later.
Updated the Links, now also available on Dropbox.
@ali_alex: Can you give me some advice how you got the call logs working again? thanks

Set up your phone number
Try this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.lytsing.myphonenumber
Or use a old phone to set up phone number
Sorry for asking, but what exactly means setup the phone number? On the SIM card?
Before ICS on GB 2.3 i had a little app named Sim Toolkit, it installed automatically after i inserted my SIMcard. But that prog is not available anymore.
Weird thing is that i know that the call logs were working on the fresh installation of ICS.
Thanks. But not working for me, cant install the app. It says thats its not compatible with apps which share the same user ID.
Does this mean that everytime one gets a new phonecard, have to do this stuff?
I guess its a little embarrasing for users who dont know a lot about it.
I tried to associate my number with my SIM card on my wife's phone. But back in my phone the number is still not available.

I flashed the new ROM from gfan.com now. All is working well including call logs, still without "my number".
Also they managed to make the weird Icon on the upper right disspear and the ROM is already debloated. I just had to reinstall google apps pack.
http://bbs.gfan.com/android-4333749-1-1.html
that weird icon appears when the phone is in a situation where it can't make 3G video call.. which is usually available in Korea only.
anyway, how did you download the new version? I browsed the chinese forum, and.. i'm just lost there even after using google translator. could you upload the new one on somewhere else just like you did for the earlier one?
update: never mind, i found a way to download it. have you noticed any performance difference between the first release and the v4?
Thanks for clarifiying what that weird logo is for.
It's definitly faster and the battery time is also better. With the stock ICS my RAM usage was going up without doing much,
and now on that ROM the usage is half with same configuration/apps.
The guys have lot of experiences in making custom ROMs, and for me it works.

Thanks so much for sharing the files on dropbox, currently still downloading them. Btw, when you boot with this rom, does the ICS engineer version message on the upper left of the screen pop up?
And after the animated boot logo finishes, does "Android is Upgrading.. Optimizing Applications" also show up?
If you have a download link of gapps for LU6200, I'd appreciate it a lot if you can share it.
Thanks again!

Please note, that the ROM on Dropbox is the ICS 4.0.4 already rooted with CWM Touch but not debloated, that means untouched.
The link i posted later is a new debloated and optimized version but they also debloated google apps.
You can find the google apps pack here: http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip
Just boot into CWM and flash the zip like you flash ROM zip's.
Engineer version shows up on all boot screens for ICS (LU6200) at the moment, because it was the only way to bring root and CWM onto the phone. (because the had to flash engineer version before the stock KDZ to get it work)
But it does not mean that the ROM is engineer version, its 4.0.4.
"Android is upgrading" message did not appear on the ROM version i had before, but on the actual one it is.
Only one thing i dont understand, why its always "media scanning" the SDcard and thats sometimes for a long time. Maybe its my card, but in GB it never appeared.

Thanks for the link and other information. More power to you and hope we can get some more variety of custom roms for the LU6200. BTW storing the roms on Dropbox was very ideal for Dropbox users like me since copying the file into my Dropbox account was instantaneous!
I've been browsing the Chinese sites using Google Chrome w/ its built in translator but downloading from from their links seems impossible and ultra slow if the free download was selected
Your welcome...
If you need a ROM from gfan.com or other chinese sites, just let me know. I can upload it for you, since i am in China so the DL rate is much better here.
For Mozilla Firefox there is a very good translation tool available, its now also working with Google Chrome.

I've made an account on 115.com its like the chinese dropbox, there i also can just copying the ROMs to... if the Uploader also stored it there.
This method creates the ability to debloat the Verizon GS7 (non-Edge Snapdragon) by modifying @jrkruse's method for the S7 edge posted here. Huge thanks to jrkruse for making the GS7 what it should be without massive bloat.
After my OP, he and @CVertigo1 evolved the method to fix the safetynet fail issues, so it now should work perfectly. I personally have not yet tried the updated method but will do so tomorrow. I'm copying instructions from the CVertigo1 thread here, but also keeping the old instructions below in post 1.
Knox counter is still 0x0, and I can confirm I have repeatedly used Samsung pay.
New CVertigo1 method:
CVertigo1 said:
Yet again, all thanks go to @jrkruse for this one. I have modified his zip to work on the Verizon S7 flat. The ROM is silky smooth since it uses the factory kernel. I'm going to tweak his instructions to work for the flat. I can confirm that SafetyNet passes using this method.
Download
ODIN v3.12.3.zip
Firmware bundle for the G930. Includes VZW and TMO firmware (G930VVRU4BQA2 and G930TUVU4BQB1) as well as engineering bootloader and stock boot_recovery.image
S7_SU_2_79_Root_Unroot_WO_Tweaks.zip
VZW_TMO_HYBRID_PLAYSTORE_BS_FREE_STOCK_V5_VZWS7FLAT.zip
Install Instructions From Any Build
Warning: This will wipe your device. Some of these instructions are redundant, but they will ensure that everything goes as planned. If you don't follow them to the T, don't complain.
1) Unzip Odin and the firmware bundle zips. Boot the phone into download mode and flash the G930T BL, AP, and CP files in Odin.
2) Don't bother logging into any accounts, as the phone will get wiped again. Copy the FlashFire.apk and VZW_TMO_HYBRID_PLAYSTORE_BS_FREE_STOCK_V5_VZWS7FLAT.zip to your SD card.
3) Shut off the phone and boot into download mode (volume down, home, and power). Flash the S7 Nougat root kernel in the AP slot in Odin. This file was in the firmware bundle.
4) When the phone reboots, unlock developer options and enable USB debugging. Unzip the S7_SU_2_79_Root_Unroot_WO_Tweaks.zip and run root.bat from your PC.
5) Now install FlashFire. Go into FlashFire settings and click option to allow flashing Bootloaders.
6) Now click flash firmware and chose AP_G930TUVU4BQB1_CL10376601_QB12449107_REV02_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT_meta.tar.md5 SELECT ALL OF THE PARTIONS!!!
7) Now click install zip and choose VZW_TMO_HYBRID_PLAYSTORE_BS_FREE_STOCK_V5_VZWS7FLAT.zip Make sure to click mount system when FlashFire asks. View attachment 4073928
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: MAKE SURE TO UNCHECK INJECT ROOT AFTER ADDING THE ZIP!!!!!!!- Thanks @dclutter1
8) The phone will restart and FlashFire will flash the firmware first(it will take a couple minutes to find and flash everything), then the Aroma installer will start.
9) In Aroma, select wipe data(DO NOT KEEP SU)
10) The phone will say custom status on first boot, but it goes away after setup and reboot.

Download stuff:
ODIN v3.12.3.zip
Firmware bundle for the G930. Includes VZW and TMO firmware (G930VVRU4BQA2 and G930TUVU4BQB1) as well as engineering bootloader and stock boot_recovery.image
ROM: There are two basic options to choose from:
PlayStore Rom - so called because it has almost NO apps and you download what you want from the PlayStore. Has an experience very similar to the Pixel.
Hybrid ROM - close to Samsung Stock experience by massively debloated
Method:
Reboot phone to recovery wipe data
Reboot to bootloader
In odin flash:
In BL slot: BL_G930TUVU4BQB1_CL10376601_QB12449118_REV02_user_ low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5

In CP slot: CP_G930TUVU4BQB1_CL10376601_QB12449107_REV02_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
Leave CSC slot Blank
Go through setup don't add any accounts your going to wipe again when finished reboot back to bootloader
In odin Flash Engineering Boot.img from above (in AP slot)
When phone reboots and computer reconnects to phone Open HYBRID_PLAYSTORE_ROM.zip folder
Click Verizon_TMO_PlayStore_Install.bat
When done click press to continue the phone will reboot back to download mode
In odin flash:
In CSC slot: CSC_VZW_G930VVZW4BQA2_CL10280325_QB12417265_REV02_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
In AP slot: G930TUVU4BQB1_Boot_Recovery_Image.tar.md5.tar
Phone will reboot to recovery and fail
In Recovery click Mount System
Wipe data
Reboot phone
During Boot Phone will Say Custom Status this will change after phone is setup and a reboot is performed
Once through setup open Rom Control App
Navigate to Phone and Settings
Click on IMS Settings
Choose Ims service switch
Click on MMTEL switch
Click on RCS switch
Under MMTEL section I enabled all the options
Click Back Button until your back to Phone and Settings Menu in Rom Control
Choose Activate Advanced Calling
Make sure under Advanced Calling that HD and Video calls are enabled
Activate WifiCalling
Known issues:
Safety net check fails (so Venmo does not work)
Some sites are blocked. Turning on "data saver" in Chrome settings worked for me but not everyone
I found that I had to go into settings > applications > phone and explicitly choose the phone as my default application for calls before it would correctly create a notification when the phone rang.
Some slightly more varsity moves:
Keeping apps from your stock:
You can modify the .bat file to not remove any apps you want to keep.
For example, I wanted to keep the "always on" display, so I deleted these lines from the .bat file:
Code:
adb shell rm -r /system/priv-app/AODService_v20
You can also further delete apps. Essentially during steps 5 - 7 above, the phone is rooted. During that time you can remove other packages. (My advice would be to pull them to your computer so you can push them back if needed)
For instance, I wanted to remove Hangouts, the AOSP browser (I use Chrome) and VisualVoiceMail. So I repeated step 5, then did:
Code:
adb root
adb remount
adb pull /system/app/VisualVoicemail
adb shell rm -r /system/app/VisualVoicemail
adb reboot bootloader
Then repeat steps 9 - 11
Wipe CACHE, (NOT data)
Reboot
Cool, cant wait to walk a friend thru this.
Just got up and running on PlayStore, everything seems good except I can't get the call recording to work. Thanks for putting this together

Also, on jrkruse's thread, I only see a single ROM for download: VZW_TMO_HYBRID_PLAYSTORE_BS_FREE_STOCK_V2.zip. Am I missing something?
Edit: I found the Play Store ROM; it contains the .bat file. The new ROM in jrkruse's OP won't work with this method, I assume.

Yes It appears he updated his method to one that uses a different kind of temporary root as well as flashable files. I'll have to look at it and see if it's customizable the way the other one was, but it looks like you found the correct playstore ROM zip from before. Here is the other ROM. Sorry for the confusion.
Do we need to flash the Verizon modem? And if so would you have a flashable file? Thanks,
if i want to just put the tmobile firmware on my verizon phone and still use verizon service, do i just flash the tmobile firmware and then the verizon csc file and call it a day? not looking for the debloat and all that other stuff. just straight up tmobile firmware working on verizon.

I think that would work (and wouldn't think you need to bother with the engineering bootloader steps either then) but to be honest it might be safer to ask jrkruse, because I don't deeply understand it - really just adapted his method for the S7 flat.
You speak of rebooting into recovery and wiping the cache. How exactly? All I seem to get is a dead robot on my screen.

Step 10.
Hmm, It seems that I wasn't holding the buttons down long enough.
If DL = Damn Long, then, yes, I agree.
OK, made it to step 15 and now I'm boned.
I had to install that ROM Control app manually as it didn't get pushed to the phone for some reason.
While attempting to follow along by clicking on IMS Settings, a toast message complains about no CSC binary or customer.xml
EDIT:
Hmm, I'll just wait a bit until you all get this sorted out I guess. In the meantime, it's back to stock for me.

If ROM control didn't install manually it's because the .bat file didn't execute correctly. Did you modify it? Did it successfully acquire root and execute all the commands all the way through to the "click to continue" prompt? OR did it give error messages along the way? (There will be a few during the remove steps because it's removing packages that only exist on the S7 edge, not flat.
I would try it again if you have the patience.
I didn't modify anything.
I only recall a few minor errors regarding removal of non-existent directories.
Yes, the script went through to the end.
Yes, the phone had root and the TMobile rom wouldn't let me forget it, lol.
It kept complaining the whole way through.

Can you do me a huge favor and install 'Phone info *Samsung*' from the PlayStore and upload a screenshot of the firmware page. If I can figure this out, then I believe I can make a simple zip to take care of everything else.

This is my first ever ROM to post up. I just recently started building them. This is a stock deodexed Nougat ROM that is pre rooted. It is 100% AT&T Nougat with just a few fixes. I have left all Samsung and AT&T bloat for those that want all the bloat but like to be rooted and deodexed.
Follow the steps below for installation:
Step 1: You must already be on Nougat firmware. There are various threads on how to do this but if you can not figure it out just ask and i will try to assist you the best i can.
Step 2: Once on Nougat, root your device. Follow this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/tm...eres-how-rooted-nougat-s7-edge-g935t-t3567502
Step 3: Once Rooted, install Flash fire from playstore.
Step 4: Open Flashfire and grant SuperSU access, once you are at the main menu, press the + and select Flash ZIP or OTA, go to the place you stored the ROM and selecet it. On the next screen MAKE SURE "Mount /system read/write" is selected and click the check mark in the upper right hand corner.
Step 5: Click the + sign again and select "Wipe", leave the defaulted boxes checked (System data, 3rd party apps, and Dalvik cache) and click the check mark in the upper right corner again. ( optional, you can select internal storage but you don't have to).
Step 6: VERY VERY IMPORTANT, select and hold down on Wipe and move it above "Flash ZIP or OTA"
Step 7: Make sure EverRoot is disabled and Reboot is set to normal.
Step 8: Click the lightning bolt and then yes on the next prompt, and let FF do it's thing.
*****Be patient, it will take up to 15 min to boot but most times it is quicker than that.*****
* Fixes i added

Hello, I've flashed the rom and loving it so far, it is buttery smooth and seems to have the same battery drain as in stock, but two problems... Every reboot or when I just turn off the wifi, it forgets the password. I've tried build prop editor and set ro.securestorage.suppprt to false, but no success. Another problem, Blutooth won't turn on. It used to before I changed the build prop, but now, it just doesn't turn on. I'm not sure if it is a problem with nougat root or your rom itself, I would love some answers. Otherwise the rom is great and I hope you continue to update it as there isn't a lot of development in AT&T.

Thank you for your feedback. I have experienced the Bluetooth issue on another more custom rom that I'm building, i haven't pin pointed it yet but am still working on it. I was originally thinking it had something to do with something that i removed from the rom (bloat) because when i run this rom with all the bloat i didn't have the issue. I will switch back to this rom and run it for a few days and see if the issue pops back up. As for the WiFi password, i have no problem with that and i have mine set to "true". I'll look into it though and get back with you.
For the battery drain, install kernel auditor, settings menu in top left corner, go to cpu, and set the governor to "on Demand" that will help a little bit.

The changes you made in build.prob? You mean by setting the secure.storage to false? I do know that on the custom Rom I'm building, i had it set to false and i was having the blue tooth issue, for the WiFi issue, it could be something you froze, can you SS your frozen list.

Thanks, the only two things that I'm not sure what it is, is UPSM_N and com.android.Samsung. M. I'm not saying that could be causing it but I'll habe to research what those two things are. Thank you.

I defrosted android.samsung, but cannot defrost upsm.n, weird. This doesn't seem to be the problem as it still persists.

So your still having the WiFi problem not remembering password after reboot? My ro.secure is set to true and I'm not having the issue.

Unfortunately, yes. Maybe something went wrong when I flashed the rom... I'll try reflashing the rom later , when I have time.

ok. Yea i would try that. I can't duplicate the issue on my end. Leave the ro.secure storage set to true and see if that fixed it. That's what mine is set at and I'm not having any problems with Bluetooth or passwords at this moment.

I have reflashed the rom and also added a dual speaker mod. Everything is working like a charm. Bluetooth and Wifi are all working.
Flashed this and it works fine, but I also experience WiFi 'losing' passwords.
I just flashed it again and no change. In fact, from the time I enter the WiFi password during setup until setup is done, I have to re-enter WiFi password because it 'forgets' (it reports authentication error later after having worked fine initially)
Any other ways to fix this so I don't have to keep re-entering passwords like this?

Use root explorer, go to system/build.prop and make sure ro.secure.storage is set to "true" as shown in the attachment. I live around Houston TX so we're prepping for the hurricane at the moment so I might be oit for a few days but I'll try to check back on here as soon as I can. Another issue that has been brought up is the phone forgetting Bluetooth device after a reboot. At this moment there is no fix for it that i can find. As soon as I can find a fix for this i will upload a new version.
