Hey Guys,
Upgraded to the latest radio, S-OFF and installed CM6.
Internal speaker isn't working, so I need to revert back to a 1.00 radio but can't find instructions.
Appreciate some help. Thanks!

It'll be the same way you upgraded to the 2.15x radio, find the PB31IMG.zip file and flash in hboot.
I can't find the PB31IMG.zip file with the 1.00.
Do you know where I can locate that?

Here's a thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=782620&page=2
*read it! it will delete your kernel, so make sure you make a backup before you do this.
Here's the link to get .92: http://adrynalyne.us/
*down a few posts
Looks like all you have to do is put it on the SD card reboot into hboot and it will install it for you.
Thank you so much I really appreciate you're help. I just did it and it worked thank you again!

Your post is ehhhh a little confusing. But from what I understand you ARE NOT rooted right now that you are completely stock. if this is the case, then no you cannot downgrade because of your bootloader. IF you want you can try to run the RUU from your computer to your phone and see if it will let you do it.
The manual root process for 2.02/2.10 hboots includes image files with downgraded radio files. I guess it is possible that the new hboot is blocking the radio downgrade during the flash.

Your problem can be that You still have S-on I think you need to be S-Off to be able to flash anything.. someone correct me if I'm wrong..
my recommendation would be use unrevoke to root your phone and get S-off...
Hope I help...

You are correct, S-ON is the issue, you need S-OFF. I helped another person with this, and S-ON was the issue.

That didn't work. Unrevoke couldn't re-root the phone saying the firmware was too new. Any other ideas???
Go here, to Unrevoked's website. Download the S-OFF zip (read instructions under Installation Instructions, everything is there), and there you go.
Thanks. It works perfectly.
No problem man, glad it worked for you!
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA Premium App

Radio 2.15.00.11.19

I gotta go back to stock and take it in for warranty I've been having terrible problems with my Evo restarting constantly, screen not coming on, freezing up. I've flashed many roms and gone back to roms i used before that have been stable and same problems persist.
I heard u have to go back to HBoot 0.76 but im unsure which one to download and how to get back rooted with the stock rom for warranty purpose.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks everyone for the help.
Go HERE and download one of the roms with radio 3.29, preferrably the .exe that can be run via a Windows PC. That *should* take care of you.

Try this RUU
Its the latest official from Sprint so it cant be rooted.
You can also just flash any stock rom and kernel, unless they try to go into recovery they wont have any way of knowing your rooted.

Ok thanks finally got it, Did the unrevoked got S-ON flashed it and got back to stock. Does it matter that it still shows HBOOT 0.93.0000? Do I need it to show 0.76?

Hi all. I just rooted my Desire following the Noob Proof Everything Desire Guide found here on forum
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1016084
I followed all the steps till step 7 - Flashing custom Rom. I want to install latest cyanogen mod 7.1 and in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=957344) i see that it is required to update radio before installing cyanogen. I found a few threads explaining how to do it but it's with different methods. One is via recovery but since i did S-off with Alpharev /cache partition is too small to hold Radio flashes. I need someone who has done this kind of stuff to tell me how to proceed next and safely update radio (tutorials would be nice). Actually do i need new radio or will everything work fine. Ty all
My desire:
Android 2.2
Baseband 32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27
Kernel 2.6.32.15-gf5a401c [email protected] #1
Build number 2.29.405.5 CL293415 release-keys
Software number 2.29.405.5
Bravo PVT3 SHIP S-OFF
HBOOT 0.93.0001
As far as I know you don't need to update your radio just yet. Any radio that starts with 5.XX should work with CM7. You have Baseband 32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27 so I believe you'll do just fine without updating it.
You only mess with your radio when it's not working properly for the ROM you are using because if done incorrectly, it can brick your phone.
If there comes a point you really have to change radio due to performance issues, you can use Android Flasher tool or better yet do it manually in fastboot.
BTW are you really sure you can't flash the radio? What HBoot are you using right now? Does it say CM7r2?
Hey, i didn't update to Cyanogen just yet. I saw here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=687464 that cache file is too small to hold radio files needed for update via recovery
NOTE: If you have the Alpharev Oxygen or CM7 HBOOT then you will not be able to flash these files via recovery, quote from AlphaRev site below.
If you downloaded Bravo Data++, please notice the /cache partition is too small to hold Radio flashes from recovery. You can however flash the radio just fine with 'fastboot flash radio radio.img'. Just extract the radio.img from the radio update.zip beforehand.

I wasn't sure what that means exactly. So i should just be ok if i want to update it via recevery (zip file or iso?) ? My HBOOT version is 0.93.0001
If you are using Stock HBoot then you can still flash radios from recovery. Only when you change to CM7r2 HBoot will you have to flash radios via fastboot.

Not only CM7r2 hboot. Radio has to be flashed via fastboot with every hboot which has less than ~35 MB for cache.

Yeah. I'm trying not to confuse the guy with the other HBoot types.

Understandable, but your information was only the half of the truth. IMHO my (complete) information was not so confusing, wasn't it?
Yup! That's why you have my thanks!
Thx all, so i will try to update radio via fastboot hopefully there is a tutorial somewhere
It's not only for the radio, but it works the same way:
http://blogs4android.com/2011/06/ro...dio-recovery-and-bootloader-through-fastboot/
Be very careful what you are doing. If you are unsure, better wait than doing somehthing. Because if something goes wrong in radio flashing, your phone will be completely bricked and from now on nothing more than an expensive paperweight.
Thx, i will try cyanogen without radio update, if everything works fine i'll leave radio as it is
