Hi All,
I have a Tilt 2 and today I notice that I have a black stain on back of my screen. I first thought it was due to humidity since I am in mexico right now on vacation. But after playing around I figure out that looks like a burn pixels and also my touch screen fuctionality is not working any more. its like its froozen. I have tried to reset but its not helping.
I am thinking maybe this has happen due to some pressure on the phone during the flight i am not really sure. Do you think the LCD is bad? do I need to change the LCD or is there any other way to fix this. I see these items on ebay. do i need to buy both items?

I tried blow dring but that has not help alot. The strange part is it goes a way after a while and touch screen starts to work but then it comes back again.

So I slipped and fell with my phone in my pocket and now when I'm on my phone doing something with a white screen (ie. texting) I see a blue cloud across parts of the screen. Is there anyway to fix this?
PS - I have a tmo tp2.
Thanks!
Anyone have any advice on this? Thanks in advance..
Get a new screen, sorry to say it like that.
If your LCD is cracked it needs to be replaced.
Somethings obviously messed up with the LCD, friend pushed too hard on his screen and it made it splotchy like that.
Screen is not cracked. Just on parts of the screen the whites show blue instead. Is there anyway to fix this?
Ok here is a picture of my problem. It doesn't seem to affect use of the touch screen at all, however I do find it bothersome... Hopefully you guys can see the blue dots in the upper left of the picture and are able to tell me what the F it is!
Sounds like "stuck pixels" to me. For whatever reason, the blue pixels won't turn off. I think I remember seeing somewhere a program that attempts to fix it by rapidly turning the pixels on and off. Maybe someone knows the name, or you can google/bing it.
Surely more ppl have experienced this before!! Any help is appreciated!!! Thanks in advance!!!

I got a guy that specializes in fixing smart phones. I'll ask him about fixing the TP2 screen tomorrow.
If you can see any visual problems when the phone is off, like shading that corresponds to the cloudy part, then the screen is physically damaged.

There are no marks that correspond to the blue dots when the phone is off..
bump.........
I've searched and I can't find anyone else that has the same screen issue as me (they may have but without a picture I can't be certain).
Anyway, I was pulling stuff out of my gym locker yesterday and something knocked my Evo out. Of course it fell flat on the bench, thus causing the screen to become damaged. However, my "cracked" screen doesn't look like any of the other cracked screens I've seen online. My front piece of glass (the part your finger actually touches) remains intact and in great condition (I know I can still unlock the screen because I can feel the haptic feedback of the capacitive buttons), but it's like the screen behind it is what's actually damaged.
Is that correct? And what part would I need to order to replace it. Thanks
I believe that its the lcd
yep thats the lcd itself
Yep, sounds like your digitizer is ok, but your lcd is borked.
Thanks everyone. Will probably be picking up an EVO 3D, then selling my OG after I fix it.
My G2 screen flickers and change colors. It started happen a couple of days after i got caught in the rain. I took the motherboard out and put in in some rubbing alcohol to help get the any water out. it help alittle. But, there are veritical lines going all over the screen. I also replaced the flex cable. Is there anything i can do to the screen, to get it showing correctly? or should i just by a new lcd? I dont want to buy a new one and the problem continues with that one too. Also, when ever it get close to moisture, the screen get kind blurry and distorted too.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated it.
Hey,
I dropped my phone from the fourth floor, and now the display is messed up. I can hear sounds from the phone, so it's OK I guess. The screen shows nothing at all though. I was thinking to replace the display and digitizer, but since the entire phone has bumps I am afraid something else is broken except for the display.
Do you think buying a new screen and digitizer from the link below will help me?

Thanks in advance, anyone who has tried changing the display on their phone before...
Hi,
please have a look at the attached image, cause its hard to explain.
It was kind of strange... it started with some cloudy pixels in the middle of the screen, they went down to where they are now and got more intense.
Its now there since about 4 weeks without change.
Anyone experienced it? I guess I need to replace the screen, or is there any other chance? In case I have to replace it, what would I need to get? The touch screen digitzer or the full lcd display?
Thanks
Susi

Although i'm not an expert on this, But i should suggest you to replace Digitizer only because it seems like Display is okay just chemical imbalance between digitizer and display panel.
If you've proper tool to disable the device and with some flat hard plastic or something try to take this to the edge where it easily go out. To me Display seems okie. Because such things happen when we put phone in tight jeans and due to over compression such happens but it has nothing to with display panel, its just chemical in between display and digitizer.
I had an iPod 4th Gen,. Same kinda Dark black spot i've noticed after single drop on top right corner and later it disappear automatically. So just saying try that first rather buying whole new panel or digitizer. Flat blunt plastic to take that bubble to the side
