Hi
Im looking for the original startup animation.
I dont have it on my phone becouse i use an custom firmware. So im asking if its someone that could share it to me?
It should be in system/media/video/startup
something like that
Use the search button -->"bootsamsung.qmg"
for me, my bootsamsung files are in the system/media folder but it doesn't actually do the boot animation just the normal galaxy S splash screen. No idea, might be the samset kernal or the lag fix but i find it odd that the file is there but it doesn't play it..
I used oclf 2.0 from the market.
There is a option called restore boot animation, It worked for me after i used a lagfix.

Hi everyone, I changed my boot animation using the app Boot Animation Changer. However now I need to return my phone to the store so I kind of need to get it back to the original boot animation. With the app I did "Stock animation" however it's not the right animation lol.
Is there anywhere I can get the stock boot animation to put on my phone, and how to do so with/without the app?
Thanks everyone

<ps, search first>
Great topic, but it doesn't provide the stock boot animation like I'm looking for, only the means to change the boot animation. I tried to search for it actually, but couldn't find anything in regards to finding the original EVO boot animation.
Anyone? Can't seem to find the stock animation.
^^; Doesn't anyone have a backup they could provide?
here is the stock bootanimation: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VMX4Z1ZG
you could also find it on any rom that uses stock bootanimation like DC (extract the zip file, go to resources>customize> and the bootanimation.zip should be there)

Oh I had no idea about it being on the ROMs, that would've been a lot easier. Thanks. :lol:
Though now with the new OTA I'm somewhat afraid to replace my phone, might just stick with my phone and the light leak as long as it doesn't get any worse.
Hello all,
Well I am currently using CM7 [build 12, downloading 13 as I type] but my question is I want to change from the Cyanogenmod animation, not that its bad, but I like my own. I have previously changed animations before and also changed my splash screen, so I know how to change them, though I am using CW3, I have tried some that were edify compatible, and clockwork says it flashed, but once re-booted, it is still Cyanogen. I have tried manually flashing, adb, and the "pushboot" method. I also changed the animation zip file in the rom, to the animation of the Android scribble and then re-flashed it. The image changed from Cyanogen, but it was just a Android in metalics that flashed, not the above image. Can anyone help me? Thank you in advance.
Hmm.. I have no issues changing my boot animations on cm7..
So not sure why its not working for you but make sure your file is named bootanimation.zip and that your installing it to.. system/media/
Hello All.
I don't know if anyone else has tried this yet, but I'm trying to get Boot Animations to actually play the animations during boot. I have ROM Toolbox Pro and have installed and randomized several animations, but none of them play. I flashed some zip (that I deleted and can't remember) in TWRP and although it was really tiny, it played fine.
Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

You have to have a rom/kernel that allows bootanimation.zip as the stock file type is .qmg

Thanks KillaHurtz. Got it. I didn't know that. Do you know how/why the zip I flashed in TWRP worked? Is there any way to translate that functionality? I hate the stock T-Mobile boot animation. For a tech-head Flashaholic like myself, I find it so, so, very "Common."
Sorry Nobody knows why
I am quite new at all of this rooting and changing to custom roms and whatnot.
I have a rooted Galaxy Tab 3 SM-T210R with ROM toolbox PRO installed on it. I would like to install a custom boot animation. I have gone into ROM toolbox >swiped right to "Interface" > Boot Animations > Selected "Tablet - BattleF3" > Pressed install. The file downloads but does not take effect when I reboot the tablet.
I rooted the tablet through ODIN and I have the TWRP Recovery whatchamacallit installed on it.
I would like to know what I am doing wrong. Any help is appreciated.
Also, the boot animation I would really like would be the mech startup sequence (probably gen 2 or gen 3) from the xbox game "Steel Battalion". Anyone know if one exists? Or how hard would it be to make one? The boot up sequence is found easily on youtube, and I think ROM Toolbox may have the option to make your own boot up animations.
Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
Well nevermind everyone. I figured it out on my own. Worked all day on it and not only was I able to get a custom boot animation on my tablet, but I was also able to download the Steel Battalion clip I wanted from youtube, edit the video to just the part I wanted, convert the video to jpg, then to a boot animation, and then was able to put it on my tablet. It looks awesome! This website was where I got most of my information. Thank you everyone!
I put the file down below. Feel free to use it.
Now if only I could figure out how to get the sound added to it....
SO i have a Galaxy s3, my third one so far, and i again successfully rooted this one and flashed the newest JellyBomb Rom at the time, "JellyBomb Domination ver. 20.0.0" on Android Version 4.1.2 if it matters. I've always used my own custom boot animation, but this newer Rom version includes a very annoying Explosion sound at boot (which was never in sync with the JellyBomb Boot animation btw), ive deleted everything in System>Media with a file name having to do with boot, and even some others i had no idea what they might have been for cuz the names did not give anything away, But it still makes that god awful annoying Explosion sound at boot, only now its even more out of sync since im using my own boot animation, it makes an explosion sound after the boot animation is over now. Anyone know where i can find the files i need to delete to get rid of that super annoying boot sound? any help appreciated. It may also help to note that the "Audio Mods Control Panel" found in Settings>JellyBomb ROM Extras does not work, it force closes.
