This should be in general or Q&A, this has nothing to do with development. Remember Google is your friend.
In regards to your question, Start the camcorder app, hit menu, lower left button(settings), then click resolution and select 720p.
In regards to anyone wanting to flame, please don't, it was just a stupid mistake, i know everyone here including myself has had a few of those.

I purchased the MHL cable and m using it happily..
The only sad thing is i dont get a full HDMI output.
I guess the 480 x 800 res is relayed.
Is there some way to improve the resolution to 1920x1080.

No. The phone will output is its normal resolution.
Only videos (and maybe photos, I haven't checked) are output in 1920x1080.
Having an MHL connection on a device doesn't necessarily mean it will output at 1080p, and I wouldn't have expected developers to go and re-create everything in their Android apps, and redesign all the graphics in HD, just for the sake of the MHL output connector of the Galaxy S II
Not that I'm aware of, only video content will be output at its full resolution.
I guess we'll be waiting for 720p resolution screens and MHL to come out before browsing and document display/editing come into their own.
Hmmm.... Ya i agree.. Videos have good quality!

I don't think the devs are going to be able to do anything here, they can't even get MHL to work on non-stock based ROMs, so just seems a bit out of reach.

I am unable to view YouTube videos and some flash sites. I tried installing flash player 11. It said not compatible with my device. Now I cannot even find flash player in play store. Please suggest some fixes.
There are no suggestions... Flash is discontinued in Android 4.1

There are plenty of jb threads that discuss this but since u r a noob and ask dumb questions maybe u should try the search flash on jb

even thought flash player isnt officially supported some users can get it to work by side loading the apk
I never will understand why people get upset so much when a questioned is asked more then once. Sure it is annoying but is it really that serious to flame people? Is xda paying you to flame n00bs or flame period?

I did try that method. Unfortunately it did not work. I may have to change ROMs.

Yes, there is no. Video Playback. There is sound when I play a YouTube video.
Also having problems playing YouTube video clips. Plays them when using my wifi connection but won't when using Vodafone H+/3G connection even though it is loading Facebook and browser pages?
Currently using Omega V26 but was the same when using Cyanogenmod 9?
Accidentally deleted camera while trying to silence the shutter noise, what I did to try and fix it was get any old camera but the formats and display obviously were wrong, if any1 has a silenced default cam for HOV I would greatly appreciate it, maybe if you have any alternatives for the situation please just help me
