I am using Cyanogenmod RC3, however, the files on the internal 8 gigabytes of storage are not showing up. Is there a known fix for this?

known issue, and if you search the thread in dev section you will find ways to mount the partition. But, most apps still won't look there for files yet.

Hey guys, having an issue with my internal sd card. I tried searching the forums, but I couldn't find a solution.
On my way to the gym I noticed I couldn't get Google music to stream music. After trying a bunch of fixes I came across the root issue. My internal sd card and data inside is missing.
In the root directory, the folders: /sdcard & /mnt/sdcard are present, but no data exists inside and the directory was mounted r/o; mounting them r/w does not alleviate the issue.
Applications can not see the directories or write to them. In recovery the internal sd card is present, and all folders and files are intact.
Can anyone help me out, our point me to a thread covering the issue?

It's a known Franco kernel issue. Update it.
I guess I was on 15.2, although I don't remember flashing that. I flashed 15.1 and everything is working again. Thanks for your help.

So the storage is a bit... wonky on this unofficial AOKP build and when I download things using the browser, it downloads to the internal storage. Tried changing the download path, no luck. Same with chrome. So is there a way to make the phone use the internal storage instead of the external? I remember doing something like that a while back on CM7 I think.

Just wondering if someone could help me with a particular SD card issue: Whenever I flash a 10.1 ROM, I can't find any files that I previously had on my internal, including anything in the emulated/0/ directory. Because of this, I had to essentially move my TiBackup directory to external. Whenever I flash back to anything 10.0 or TW-based, all my files are back where they belong. I remember after coming off of Euroskank's kangs, I had multiple 0 directories (emulated/0/0/0/0) when I flashed back to a TW-based ROM. Each 0 directory formatted like it's a new internal memory. I had to move different files from each 0 directory, and deleted the emulated folder. I tried going 10.1 again, with the Illusion CM 10.1 ROM specifically, and all my internal memory files "disappeared" again. Any idea how to fix this?
I've got the same problem on my S2 running CM10.1 and also on my new Nexus 4 running CM10.1.
It's very strange. The file manager of CM says, that /pictures is empty, except /pictures/cache.
But my Gallery show all my pictures.
Very annoying.. Have you found any solution?

I'm sure it's been addressed but I'm having issues when installing apps from the market. It downloads them but when it installs I get no storage space. It's impossible because I have over 3gb storage free and 1gb internal storage. I'm running cm10.1 1/25 if that helps. Just weird considering I installed things fine the other day

I was getting this error, too. I couldn't figure out what was taking up so much space on my internal SD. I did a search on it and clockwork can leave behind some serious blobs. Delete the clockwork folder, namely the blobs folder, but I just deleted everything and made a new backup.
While your at it, look for other old, unused files on your SD to delete. ROM toolbox will give you a last modified date. I only delete stuff that hasn't been used in like 2 months.
Another great way to free up space is by using apps to SD. I move all my games and larger apps to my SD card. I'm working with well over 100 downloaded apps and I haven't even filled up half of my internal storage.
Bottom line, storage space requires a little maintenance now and then, just like a computer. Unclutter. Delete all the crap you'll never use.
I had the same issue with clockwork mod. The blobs was using up 1.5 gigs of internal space.
From what I read it has to do with the new way that incremental backups are done. But I don't do any nandriod on my internal memory so I don't know how it got there.
I just deleted the blobs and it gave me that space back. Will look into apps to sd.

Well I erased the clockworkmod folder and still nothing its very selective about the apps it gives the error to. I installed shadow gun dead zone and it went fine but I tried a battery app and it gave the error

Have you tried clearing market data? It might be as simple as that.
Also, get ROM toolbox and back up your apps once you get this figured. I usually stop that data hoggin' auto download from the market and just install ROM toolbox. I restore apps only and some select data. WAY faster! Use less battery! Switch ROM fast!
Weird problem never had it before. All apps get sorted to the devices memory which is only 2 gb... eventually I get msg space running out cant sync, update or dowbload more apps... shouldbnt the apps be downloading onto the device usb storage itself which is 14-16gb??? Under settings , storage I get 2 gb device memory, 16 gb device usb storage and 16 gb sd card external storage and yet everything goes to the 2 gb partition... what the hell..?! I heard something about a wiping script. Im using the twrp recovery.. help?

Correct me if i am wrong, but with all android phones, the internal storage is partitioned. 2 gigs are used for downloaded apps, another couple of gigs are used for the system and the rest of the remaining storage is used for the downloaded data within the apps.
Also try moving some of your apps to the SD card. It will help free up some storage in that 2gb partition.

Ou might be right for the partitions but ive never had this problem before. I think something messed up perhaps the partitions? I moved all my apps to the sd card the problem is still there. The bigger storage in the phone just iant being utilized or sonething like that.. I was on the embryo rom for good 4 -5 months had ****load of apps and never had an issue.. been running jedi rom for a few weeks and encoutered this problem. It just doesnt make sence.

I had this same issue on jmt v5, I have no idea what caused it or how to fix it I tried everything, it's like the Rom won't store anything anywhere but the system partition, it's very strange, I switched to embryo Rom by Mohan, all the great touchwiz stuff, very fast and stable, only difference is no Wi-Fi calling, but if u can handle that go flash embryo, best touchwiz Rom I've seen to date
