does anyone else's power button only seem to push down on the left side? I feel like i have the hardest time unlocking/locking my phone because the entire right half of my power button does not function. I really don't want to send my phone back in and worry about relocking/flashing stock if its a common problem. Otherwise if im the only one having this issue i'd probably send it back in because its rather annoying.

Some ROM's have the option to unlock the screen when you press the volume rocker. See if your ROM has such an option?
Edit: My power button's fine though.
My power button is really recessed and is hard to press on it's own. That's how I got the phone and I thought it was normal like that. I got a silicone case with a power button "pusher" on it that helps unlock the phone. Its a piece that sticks into the phone and when you press it, it helps press the power button.

My power button is the same as you describe. I personally wouldn't exchange it due the the problems people are having getting s-off on the new replacements. A rom that let's you unlock with the volume button might be a good choice as someone else mentioned.

My power button has been that way since I first got it over a year ago, no change. It seems to be normal.
When I was trying to swap out my phones screen something came loose, and after looking around I found out it was the power button mechanism. I can't figure out how it fits back in. I tried searching for other people having problems with their power buttons, but they have different problems and that did not help.
So if anybody knows how to put the power button mechanism back together that would help a lot
thanks
I'm wondering if I broke my power button somewhat. The bottom part when I press it makes a squeaky sound and isn't very firm and sometimes doesn't actually press in. Is there a way to fix this?
So this is just the newest issue to deal with that poped up. Anytime I hold the power key the phone just soft boots on its own. If I quick press it for a milisecond it also does it. I have to barely touch it to just turn off the screen. I have no idea why this happened. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so can you tell me how to fix it and what could be causing it. I disabled just about all of the xposed mods. See photos for details of my device.
It is probably a hardware problem; the button could have been hit too hard by something, water could have got in, or it could be defective manufacture. If it's still under warantee I would take it back, otherwise you can open it up to see if anything obvious can be done.

I love the Note 5, but I keep accidentally putting calls on hold when using it in the "traditional" way - putting the phone to my ear.
I've discovered that somehow the screen is coming back to life while I talk - and I'm accidentally touching the "On Hold" virtual button on the call screen in the upper right corner.
I feel a bit stupid even posting this, but the Note 5 is my first Lollipop and phablet experience. I don't remember the "On Hold" button even showing up on my GSIV call screen. Could it be a proximity sensor issue?
Has anyone else experienced this and if so, is there a fix?
Yes, your proximity sensor may be defective. My screen stays off when I hold the phone to my ear.
As a mitigation, you could try keeping your fingers on the side of the phone, off the screen, and lower than where the hold button is; also, hold the phone at an angle, with only the top edge held against your ear.
I have the same problem...the proximity sensor is fine, screen does go blank when on call..but nearly every day, maybe due to angle I hold phone which makes it think I am not on the phone! It keeps going on hold. Any way to resolve? Or any workarounds people have done? Really annoying, sometimes happens 2-3 times on the same call!!!
I am having the same issue. Any fix for this?
Could glass screen protector be causing this?
