Froyo Power Control Auto brightness - Droid Incredible Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello All,
In the Froyo leaks, roms, etc for the Incredible where is the Power Control widget that has a fourth option for auto brightness?
My co-worker with a Droid (1) and Froyo has it, and I have seen it posted as one of the "Features" of Froyo. Is this just missing from our roms and leaks, can we add this in? I would love the ability to easily change from auto to manual brightness.
It looks like this:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}

I know this isn't the solution you're looking for but you can also get 'extended controls' from the market, it has tons of other options for those power control widgets including an auto brightness toggler. The app is only about $1.00.
Also this seems like an apps question..just sayin

I have used extended controls with 2.1 but I would much rather have the functionality built into the stock widget, especially if it is part of Froyo.
Maybe this thread should be moved to apps, but I thought it was more of a development question.

CM6 has this feature. I love it.

Skyraider sense has it also

I get it free with quick settings found in the market.

[Q] How to get Miui lockscreenchargerthingie on LeeDrOiD?

Hey all.
I'm still on LeeDrOiD 3.3.3 which, in my book, is pretty darn perfect in every way. No bugs, no hangups and no FCs...
BUT I SO LOVE MIUI's freedom and design
I saw these pictures in a locksreen theme thread about Miui and wanted to know if there is any way to get the same thing on my Leephone?
What I'm talking about is the green "charging" line from the first and second screens. Is that a live wallpaper, widget or what is it? Can it be used on my Lee either as a lockscreen or as a widget on homescreen?

I'd like to get that charge status bar mod incorporated into sense ROMs, eye candy much, though I'd hate to tap, hold & slide the finger to another part of the screen just to unlock the phone.
Yeah. I don't want the slidelock, just the chargethingie.
It's MIUI, you can get the Sense lockscreen with the chargerbar if you want to, but you'll have to join us MIUIans! Come to the good side, we have lockscreens!

I would never betray my sweet Lee... but it's sooo perrrtttyyyy... NO! My precious... Dammit! Noooo. *walks towards miuiandroid.com*
Hahaha Come to meee! COME! Lee is LAME you hear me! LAME!
Backup your Leedroid, flash MIUI, use it the next 53 years, and if you still want to go back to Mr. Lee, then just restore.
Btw, IF you don't like the MIUI launcher, remember that you can use LauncherPro or another launcher. You will still be able to use all the MIUI features.
Edit: I recommend you use the Freshly Squeezed MIUI (check my sig). It's tweaked a little bit, and you'll get the TalonAce kernel which is working very well.

Need some help making a nice looking screen

Ok Im pretty good a flashing roms, good at manuvering through the root of my phone. Ive been messing with probably every rom out for the EVO, but ive yet to figure out how some people make theyre screens look awsome. Im wanting to know if I post a screenshot from a thread on here if someone would walk me throught how to make it look like the supplied pic? Im more than willing to supply my Instant messenger addy Thanks
Theres alot of different ways to customize your homescreen and drawer,theres apps like ADW,Go,launcher pro and themes that are made for your specific rom,hence,my homescreen,courtesy of T-Mobiles theme chooser and Fancy widgets,i also moved a few icons from my drawer to my rosie and added world clock widget.Changed the font with system root tools.

That looks like a GO Launcher theme.Check out go launcher and the themes,you might find what your looking for. Go Launcher EX It has a bunch of themes.
All the information that you need is right on that screen.
And the rom us miui.

Yah, or ADW or LP with a custom DOCK, Desktop Widgets, for the widgets...
I am a Noob, but I found LCD Density on the Market, I run mine at 183 on the EVO with Myn's Warm 2.2 RLS 5. It tweaks your resolution. So no matter what you put on your screen, it makes it sharp.

SwitchPro alternatives

I loved using SwitchPro while on Gingerbread on my Nexus S, but ever since updating that to ICS, and now currently using a Galaxy Nexus, SwitchPro just hasn't been as perfect as it once was. Toggling wifi tethering no longer works (I can turn it on, but if I press the button to disable it, nothing happens. I have to go to the settings in order to turn it off). Using the camera flash as a flashlight also no longer works.
Ideally, I'd like something with a similar look that allows me to customize the widget much like SwitchPro.
Any suggestions? Thanks.
For those unfamiliar with the look, here it is:

Try Widgetsoid2.x
Flashlight doesn't work for me, but Wifi tethering works just fine for me, to turn on and off.
I have GSM Galaxy Nexus running Google build.
I wish the flashlight worked! I love the style of these widgets
I use Elixer 2
Flashlight works

Yeah, completely customizable as well.

I have a question regarding MoreQuicklyPanel:
Does the Widget always stays on top of the notification bar? With Widgetsoid, the widget always wandered down, when new notifications came in.
Thank you!

[Q] warm 2.3 question

so far i'm loving this rom, working a lot better than the last rom i tried. something i noticed, was same on warm 2.2, the android calender widget is unreadable for me. on warm 2.3 the font is white with white background. i've tried new fonts, no help. anyone know how i can fix this? please and thank you
Just seeing if I'm looking at the proper widget, is it either of these two? Cuz I use HTC's widget.

yes, the one on the right
Gotcha, the issue is actually the widget itself. Since there's only been one release and active development is non-existent, bugs were left to us to find. I believe you'd have to edit the widget apk to display text in a different font. Unfortunately, I have no experience editing files so I can't walk you through it.
Edit: all I can do is offer up alternatives, line using the HTC widget (the 4x1 horizontal one) or trying a different app entirely like the superb "Jorte Calendar" which has a TON of customizations. It's available in the market.
i wanna thank you for your response, that calender seems to be doin what i want. got another question i hope someone might be able to help with. still on warm 2.3, all of a sudden the contact pix in the stock messaging app are gone. everywhere else they seem fine, just in messaging they disappeared. anyone else run into this? thoughts on how to fix?
i thought maybe another app caused it so i reflashed but after a day or so, same thing happened.

From phone to media player

Alright, long time epic 4g touch user, and a while back i reported one lost and got another. I found it yesterday and have decided to basically turn it into a media player. So I need to know if it is safe to uninstall some of the stock applications baked blackbean. I want to remove telephone, messaging, stock browser, 4g settings, and possibly a other things. Does anyone have insight as to whether or not this will cause instability?

All of the apps mentioned will cause massive force closes if deleted, basically rendering it unusable.

I will be releasing an update to the rom here soon with a script to disable the radio so you can just remove whatever regular apps that you don't want. But I agree, if you start removing the core system apps, it's going to cause a lot of problems. It has incredible battery life. Monitor the thread and we'll see how it goes.

He was asking about Baked Black Bean (AOSP)
Well, that answers my question. I'll disable their auto runs, and hide them in nova launcher. And I'll look at that rom, because if it's as good as you say it might be my new daily driver.
