Please help! I have my phone rooted - used ROM Manager to download and install Cyanogenmod 3.0 RC3 and all it get the load animation... can anyone tell me what might be theissue or how to correct it?
It's probably running the initial DexOpt operation (the first boot on all ROMs take a few minutes to load).
How long did you leave it? It could take up to 10 minutes for it to finish.

I was wondering if anyone else has run into this problem and perhaps could help me out...
Kernel source compiles fine, without errors, using the defconfig (actually inspire4g, but no real differences)
whenever I try to boot with it (first tried a cwm zip and now just using fastboot), The first HTC splash screen appears but it never gets to the second one. It is obviously hanging, but it is before adb ever comes up so I can't really troubleshoot it, and have been basically trial and error up till now.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated,
Chris
I rooted my phone a couple of months ago (HTC Desire) running version 7 of Cyanogenmod and decided it was time to have a look around at other roms. So i downloaded LeeDroid on ROM Manager on my phone and selected all the additional extras and it downloaded and installed itself (or I thought it did). Then the phone rebooted and it ran through script about the phone making some weird R2D2 sound in the process, but it kept looping around, i left it for an hour and it was still going. So i removed the battery and tried again and it won't start now. If i boot it up, it boots up to the flashing Android screen and if i boot it into boodloader and try fast boot it does exactly the same. Any ideas?

which hboot are you using? make sure to use htboot which has enough space in /system partition for the ROM you are trying to flash. also check the md5 of the downloaded file with the one provided in the website.
providing more details will help people in the forum to guide you in right direction.
Hi folks
Being new to android I thought I'd root my O2 Gnex on the second day of ownership.
After battling with drivers I finally managed to root and install ROM manager pro to download and install a new ROM.
After some searching around I chose Eagleblood (this was on the ROM Manager list). I followed all instructions on ROM manager and am waiting for it to re boot, this is the first boot after installing Eagleblood.
My questions are-
How long is should this first boot take?
If it is stuck in boot mode/cycling what can I do?
Thanks for any help offered
I give it ten minutes absolute max. If stuck booting reboot into recovery and try again.

Thanks. So my 1 hour was a little excessive lol
I shall boot away.
Thanks for the help.
Hi guys,
I'm on CM 10.2 and received a notification that CM 10.2.1 was available for download on my phone. So I downloaded it right there and then and installed it. Now it's stuck in reboot - it only gets to the HTC logo then restarts.
Any ideas what I need to do?
Cheers!
[Solved]
Just had to download 10.2.1 from the website and flash the boot.img via fastboot.
Really love how awesome all this is once you get your head around it. It just works (if you follow the steps lol)
Didn't know that you can't really update CM via the interface on your phone. It seems like you need to reflash it.
hi,
i have sony xperia L c2104 ..i decided to root the phone as my warranty period is over.
as adviced in some posts,,i unlocked bootloader as shown in sony website.
then phone got stuck in splash screen forever.
then as as said in wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_taoshan i have done all the steps and continued till sideloading of downloaded cm 12.1 nightly. final msg in cmd prompt showed Total xfer: 1.00. then i pressed reboot system now on phone. this should end installation of cm as said in the post.
but my phone again restarts in cm recovery mode only.
i repeated flashing boot img and sideloaded cm12.1. again the phone is in recovery mode as i restart.
pls solve the problem.
While in boot recovery, try install from sd card, and pick the cm 12.1 file that you have sideloaded and install. Then reboot again and see if it opens to CM.
Have patience, it is a specific procedure to get all the steps right, and can be a little different everytime. Post here and let me know how it's going.
The things I noticed about the bootloader unlocker from Sony were: it doesn't have you load a super user, and its not telling you how to install the new ROM. Me personally, I've always installed super user, since some apps and ROMs need it to function. You should still be able to install CM12.1 without it, but no guarantees. If not, try root with odin3, which worked for me. Unfortunately, I don't have an xperiaL to reproduce the exact steps needed.
