battery charger - Vibrant Accessories

Has anyone found a faster battery Charger for our phone? I bought mine from monoprice and did not work, it actually drained my battery instead of charging it.
The factory charger that came with the phone just takes wayyyyyy To long to charge. Also I'm looking for a far charger.
Thanks

Also a CAR charger. Lol

Battery Desktop Charger for Universal! Please Advice.

I was wondering if standalone desktop battery charger for Universal good in recharging batteries or if they shorten the battery life. Thanks!
As long as the minimum specs for the universal are met by your charger it should not shorten your battery's life in any way.
Me and other people across the forum have used a moto razr charger to charge our universals, good results have been achieved, i have a charging/sync craddle bough out in ebay for few euros, it's branded "just mobile", it has its own battery charger (rated at 5V, 1A) and it works fine, although many people have had problems just with this charger.
One last thing, the real battery charger circuit is inside the pda, so provided that the battery charger is normal to good quality (5V +/- 10%, 500mA to 1A), you should not have any problems.
Bear in mind however that the battery can 'sk' for up to 1A if its almost flat. This means that your charger should be able to deliver it if you want to charge your battery

[Q] How can I determine the amperage my phone is charging at?

I just bought a generic USB wall charger and it's taking much longer to charge than the htc charger that came with my EVO.
I'd like to determine the amps/ma the charger is actually putting out. I don't have a multi-meter, so I am hoping there is a hidden menu or app which will tell me what the phone sees.
Any suggestions?
You can download aLogcat and watch for the current usage, it should post it every so often. It should also say on the charger somewhere too, the stock wall charger is 1000mA
I tried this and found nothing showing charge rate, only the battery percent.
A standard usb wall charger should equal how long it takes to charge if you were plugged into you pc. If it is taking longer than that then you got a super el cheapo charger that puts out less than 500ma (milliamps).
I would be carefull too, cheap usb wall chargers are not know to output clean power and have killed devices. By overvolting/charging them.
I have been doing some testing lately with the htc charger and a pc and have come to the conclusion that the htc wall charger pushing 1 amp (1000ma) charges the battery too fast and doesnt allow for a "strong" charge. Meaning your battery will drain faster. The htc charger is, i believe not meant to be your everyday charger, only a boost charger to get you charged back up quickly.
This is common battery knowledge when it comes to charging... you can charge a battery too fast, and a slower; 500ma "trickle charge" is much cleaner and better for your battery.
Some maybe argue this, and thats ok, these are just my personal findings.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
I'm not seeing that info in the log either.
The charger had a weird range of 250-1000ma.
Yeah I think I'll invest in a better charger just to be safe.
Thank you both for your replies.

Anker Wall Charger Issues.

I just bought my T-mobile 16gb GSIII yesterday and I have Anker universal wall chargers for my spare batteries. Ever sine I got my HTC Sensation, I've used spare batteries and Anker wall chargers to get the better battery life then I would plugging up my phone in. I put ms OEM GSIII battery in the wall charger overnight and the indicator turned blue signifying a full charge. When I popped it in my phone it was only at 92% charged. I figured it was a mis-read so I popped it back in the wall charger. It wasn't a mis-read, the wall charger won't charge it to 100%. When I charged the phone by plugging it in via usb cable, it acheived a 100% charge. I'm just curious if anyone else has had an issue with the wall chargers.

wall charger

has anyone found any of the chargers (square ones with purple etc light)
that plug into the wall and hold 1 battery in them that work.
All the ones i've tried only charge to 88 or so percent.
thanks
Although my post offers you no solace as to which charging dock will charge GSIII batteries to full capacity, I"m pleased to finally learn that I"m not alone. I've ordered a charging dock from ebay that will be arriving no later than Thursday. Its 34.99 and comes with an original battery much like the OEM charging dock. I'll check it out and give you some feedback on it's performance.
I'm also looking for a cheap external battery wall charger.
Something like this.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-Battery...-S-3-SIII-i9300-US-AU-EU-UK-Pin-/251082870040
Will that work or am I at decent risk that it'll stop charging at 88% like the OP?
Any other suggestions? Is the battery the same size as the battery used for the S2 or any other phones so that I can use a wall charger made for a different phone (since this phone is new, maybe accessories haven't fully ramped up yet).

Charging with regular 2A car charger

My note doesn't seem to be charging with my 2A car charger. It shows that it is, but loses percentage even with the screen off. The AC charger that came with the phone works great.
Anybody else have this problem?
What kind of charger do you have? I've tried two 2a Anker car chargers and they have both have charged my phone pretty fast. And also tried my 2a Anker battery has charged fast. I believe all of them use the IQ features to know how much juice they want
