I have a Sprint Touch Pro 2. Is there a way to make the phone wake up if it receives a phone call but still keep the phone locked? Like I want to have to unlock it before answering the call.
Sometimes at work I don't necessarily hear a call or want to answer it. The phone unlocks and then while it's in the case in my pocket, it's vulnerable to screen taps and hard buttons presses because it's not locked anymore until it goes to sleep again...that's if it goes to sleep cause I am physically active at work and the case may press against the screen a little and etc.
I use LockDevice v1.6 too

LockDevice v1.6 is a program to turn on the phones stock lock when you hit the power button...not a soft/hard button lock.
To lock the hard buttons/soft buttons.screen tabs when you get a call, reminder, ect you will need a lock program such as:
S2U2, TouchLockPro, or PocketShield. These are probably the more well known ones.
I have tried Pocketshield and am now trying S2U2, both seam to be doing the job good.

hi to all,
I'm looking for a program that blocks the touchcreen and buttons when I'm talking. I have a samsung omnia with windows 6.1 with this function enabled.
I have a udk 6.1 lizard rom (06/26/07) in my trinity, do you know if there is something I can install to enable this function?
thanks a lot

No need software. Just keep your device locked all the time. When you receive call, you can press answer button but after that your screen and button will remain lock except the red button. When making call, click device lock function.
search in "Google" phone screen lock

the red button is the problem and, in any case, your solution works well when I receive a call, but it is more difficult to lock the device when I make a call.
I've tried phone screen lock, but it does not work, it seems to be correctly installed and active, but nothing appears during a call...

Power button to turn off the screen unless you want to see it while talking

Install batterystatus. (Freeware). Enable function "DeviceLock on Wakeup". When making call, press off button then press on button again. You can see the display and your phone in locked mode.
Hey i have a quite a bad problem. My phone appears to be unlocking its self very easy and ringing people in my pocket, today it rang 8 people in the space of an hour. Ive got pocketshield but this stops it picking up calls, not ringing them. Im unsure what to do. I dont even know how its happening, im thinking the top button must keep getting pushed in my pocket or something.
Any ideas/apps to lock phone after wakeup? I dont want to put the pin on it because it may end up locking my phone instead! plus its a bind having to enter a pin every few minutes. Something like pocket shields scroll down the screen etc would be good. But i see no option to enable it for when waking up.
Thanks.
I've had no such issues since using S2U2. Give it a try!
Or LockMeLite - much lighter than S2U2 and doing just what you want - locking the screen and hardware buttons when power button is pressed and unlocking the screen on incoming call so you don't have to unlock to answer and still keeping the buttons disabled so you can take it out of the pouch without accidentaly answering/ignoring the call.
Me too.. LockMeLite has been definitive for me. No more "lost" calls by hardware.
Fk
My solution was to stick a crystal case on it,it recess's the power button so its not pushed by accident.
if u press and hold the phone icon bottom right it locks the screen , to unlock pull out the stylus.
the problem is its not to do with calls or texts, i have pocketshield for that. Its to do with the powerbutton keep getting knocked. At least i think it is.
holdign down the phone key to lock the screen sounds like a gd idea ill look into that.
And yeah getting a protective case might solve it too. Ill cehck that out too thanks, though i do kinda like the sleak design. I gues its gona get ruined proably lol.
:EDIT:
Simply locking the screen before turning it off works a charm! thanks. Now im just wondering, is there an app that will just auto lock it when i turn screeen off ? Just makes it all that easyer so i dont forget and call people again!
I had the same problem before using a belt case. I tried s2u2, but it's lagging. Now I'm satisfied with Pocketshield. Just work in its setting and you can have it work well.

Again - LockMeLight. It locks the screen automatically when the phone goes to sleep and you have to slide the screen down when waking it to unlock it. On top of that it disables the hardware buttons when locked, so no accidental calls are made when you unwillingly wake the device even with the screen locked.
original case
i use original htc case for hd.
Hey everyone,
I am having issues with my TP2 screen turning back on to easily and consequently lots of things get pushed in my pocket, and emails sent etc hahaha.
Like it only takes a brush over the power button to turn it on and this happens just about every time it goes into my pocket or pouch.
Is there some way to get the keys to lock when i turn the screen off?
I have noticed on long end key press there is a lock function, but this seems to have unlocked itself a couple times in my pocket.
What can i do? this is starting to annoy me.
Thanks
Buy a case
you can set it to lock when you set the sceen off. But still it will be the same lock screen.
there are nummerous apps for a alternative lock screen, there are at least four threads about it. I suggest you search in this forum and the forum rhodium software
Would like to give you some links, but I'm in a bit of a hurry.
Thanks mate,
I will try searching a bit better, what i was searching before wasnt giving me anything.
Cheers
Does S2U2 work on the TP2? I use it on my Kaiser and very much like it.
Andre
I have always used the WM built-in password lock - set to 1 minute, the whole thing is locked, on any device.

You have to set the time to 0 (zero) for the power button to work. I myself have been trying some different lockers, i like the Throttle locker which i used on my TYTN II and aslo on my TP2. I didn't like the password lock on the TYTN 2 since it wasn't so finger friendly but thanks to the tip here i will use the password built in with time set to zero so i can power off easy and not let people sneak into my phone.
hi!
could somebody please make a simple hardware key lock when device wakes up on incoming calls. dont need screen lock apps like s2u2 or lockmelite, just button lock.

You can set the call end key to lock the device by holding it down for a few seconds. It's not always the most convenient thing to use and I agree a simple lock would help. Both S2U2 and Lockmelite have their quirks.

even if keys are locked by pressing end key, they are still active on incoming calls and can be accidentally pressed when trying to pull the phone out of pocket. just lock keys not screen, cos blackstone has such a nice onscreen slide key
Just got my Optimus G Pro a week ago, coming from several years of iPhone usage (and upgrades).
As of yet I've not rooted or anything, it's totally stock aside from some play store downloads.
Here's my question. (I don't know if it's by design or if my phone's messed up.)
When on a call, if I hit the lock button, it darks the screen but the phone is not really locked. Any button press takes me straight to the call screen. Is this by design?
The problem I'm running into because of this is; randomly while on a call I'll hear two faint beeps and the screen will turn on. But there is no notifications (no mms, no emails, etc) and I don't have minute minder (plus the beeps are random, not on the minute) so I don't know why the screen is coming back on.
Both of these issues basically means the phone is going to call screen when in my pocket (I use headphones a lot on calls) or on my desk or whatnot and I have accidentally hit buttons.
I'm used to the iphone where when I hit lock, it's really locked. You cannot accidentally activate the phone unless you first unlock the phone. This is a big deal to me because I'm on conference calls a lot. I need to be able to trust when I lock the phone that it's locked (lockscreen).
Outside of calls it works fine, I lock it and I have to do the unlock action to get back to the phone from the lock screen.
Anyone have any insights or suggestions? And is the no lock screen while on a call by design? (cause that'd be a little lame)
I love this phone and really don't want to root (/ custom rom) yet, at least not until I have vetted all the stock issues to make sure custom romming later didn't cause these issues. To me, the lock button should always lock no matter what the phone is doing. It's such a basic expectation that had I rooted or rommed before this I would swear it was cause by that and not a stock function.
The first question yes it does that by design you can hit the home button in call and go back to the.home screen......and if the phone sees light it.thinks its away.from your.face and wakes back up to.do stuff like text or input numbers for call centers and stuff
Sent from my LG-E988 using Tapatalk
Hitting the home button while on a call does take me to the home screen, but the phone still doesn't lock. Lock button takes you to a blank screen but the phone is still not locked (at the lock screen).
I believe it's by design, but it sure doesn't make sense. Why would a developer think "Hey, you know that dedicated hardware lock button that all phones have? How about we just not let it work while people are on calls? Why would anyone want to keep their phone from being messed with while on an important call, that'd be silly... Maybe next update we can make the home button randomly take you somewhere other than the home screen."

I don't know but why would you lock a phone during a call? you won't be able to input numbers during a call or just remove it from your year for a second to glance at the call time.....and when the call ends the screen lights up to show you call info and reminding you if you want to lock your phone............so what i am trying to say if i cannot understand the usefulness of locking during call.......if you want the screen to turn off the proximity sensor does that.................can you please give me an example of its use.....thank you
