Hey guys just got my $13.97 Black Armor case from Amazon. I must say, this case is just as well built as an Otterbox! My only gripe was the smokey built in screen protector, but after I gave it the windex treatment it's good to go.
All the ports are covered well, with easy access to the kickstand. It adds about .3 thickness when on the phone, but not too heavy at all.
It's a damn good deal for the price, gives me everything I want in a case! No it doesn't come with the holster, but they are available separately! Check out amazon for more colors!
If anyone needs more action shots lemmie know!
Got the same case (in white) from eBay for cheap as well. Definitely had to cut out the built-in screen protector; drove me nuts! Other than that, awesome case.
Yea, I sat outside with it and noticed the Smokey mess all on it. Gonna go out to a hardware shop and try to find some plastic to cut n replace it!

Received my Trident Aegis case today. Went with the bright green (which I so far prefer to the darker green which they previously used, I had a Cyclops case in this color on my HTC Glacier.)
One gripe is, so far, the open space surrounding the camera on the back of the case. This is an odd decision. Not a big deal to me, though; but still worth mentioning.
The biggest gripe, though, is that the phone is not at all easy to actually get into the case. I'm not saying that it doesn't fit. The problem is that you first place the phone into the colored, gel surrounding piece. You then have to fit these piece (and its protruding buttons) into the very hard and rigid black/grey plastic piece. It's kind of hard to do this since the gel-covered buttons have to fit into the holes on the device, and I ended up hitting the power button over and over again, and botting into recovery because one of the volume rockers was held down.
My Cyclops case, for the Glacier, was designed in the opposite way. The phone first fit into two hard pieces (a front and back piece, basically), and then a black rubber surrounding piece went around the plastic itself. This was really easy to take the phone out of and place it back within.
I know people will ask...I'd say the phone doesn't add too much in the way of size to the already very large S-II, but the only comparison I have is the D30. I do not have the Incipio or Seideio cases to compare.
My aegis case for my vibrant was the same. Its how they all are in terms of getting it on. Waiting for mine to get for the sgs2

my main concern is how well it protects but a close second on how hard it is to get out of the pocket. if im going to spend to cash to get something that would work well i want it to be what i want. any opinions?
So overall how do you feel about the case?
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
I'd say pocket fitment is mostly contingent upon the pocket. I have been putting the SII + Trident case in the front pocket of shirts and it only sticks out a small bit. It fits in my jeans pockets, but I wear my jeans a bit baggy. It won't fit in the pockets of my dressier slacks. So, I find it easy to get out of most pockets. My Glacier + Trident was actually probably a bit more difficult due to the ribbed silicone surround. The case for the S II doesn't have much to snag on. Keep in mind though, that the Glacier + Case was a lot thicker, front screen to back battery cover, than the S II is. This definitely had something to do with it as well.
Overall I am pleased with the case. I like the color options, shape, and structural design of the case. While I did find the previous "Cyclops" style case that I had for my Glacier to be easier to take off and on, this new case seems, at least at first glance, to provide equal or better protection while also being easier to fit in pockets.
One footnote: I'm using this case along with a Zagg wet application invisible shield and I'm not having any issues with the corners peeling.
What did you pay? Looks sick.

Same question I had, it says on product page that it includes a "Re-Applicable Screen Protector".
BTW, coupon code "holiday2011" gives you a nice $7 off!
does the screen protector look to be of good quality?
I also noticed that the plastic doesn't hold/secure the rubber on the bottom of the phone, is it easy for the bottom corners to come off say when you're putting it in or pulling it out of your pockets?
Thanks!

The screen protector does look cheap. I'm not using it so I didn't really pay much attention to it. The hard case does not wrap around the bottom, so it is just the gel casing. But I haven't had any issues with the case coming off when putting the phone in my pocket
I really wish otter would make a defender case for this phone! I loved it on my iPhone

I paid $22 with free shipping using the promo code holiday2011.
And yes, I got it from the tridenteer site.
i just ordered one... ill compare and take pictures comparing it to my incipio silicrylic case when i get the trident
I put the screen protector on. Used a wet install. Looks great so far. Smooth feel and very clear. It is dark outside right now, so I will report back tomorrow during the day. Looks really good in the house. Just a few air bubbles settling. I can tell they will go away though.
Screen protector is great. Really clear in light and dark. I'm sure there's better quality out there but for free its great. Also I have the green case. Get compliments like crazy about this case. Very high quality and looks pretty sick. Great protection. Great looks. Great case.
FYI the Incipio case has the slight gap around the camera as well.
The only issue I have seen, been using the case about a week, is the flap that covers the charging port doesn't want to stay closed. It doesn't hang down enough to cause problems really but isn't a tight fit and would def let dust in. Other than this small issue the case works great.
I just ordered this
http://www.ebay.com/itm/110918239134?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
And I'm wondering if these add any thickness to the phone? And if so is it enough to make some cases not fit?

Being that it's plastic, I wouldn't think so. You should be fine. Most likely

Just got mine today (just showed up in the mail 10 min ago actually), is a direct replacement to the OEM cover. Has a nice rubberized feel on the back and if you find the right auction it is actually pebble blue with the rubbery carbon-fibre back..
The fit is perfect.. I suspect the chrome plastic letters may fall out.. have heard of people having that issue but looks good without them anyhow..
the rubberized back makes the phone easier to hold on and it won't stuff like the oem back.. Don't think I am going to put a case on this phone.. the backs are cheap enough and once I get the Steinheil Curved Crystal screen cover, it will be more than protected enough..
Haven't seen any posts on these cases here thinking about buying one looking for some comments or if anyone owns one maybe they can chime on if they like them. I think they look tight

I have the px260 and like it. Very solid case. Only negatives are that the headphone jack area is very deep which made it difficult to find one that fit and also that its kind of slick if you just set it on the console while driving it slides around. Also you need to use their screen protector. Reason being is that because the case clamps down so tight a protector that goes to the edges will be pushed up in the corners. Though one of the glass protectors may not have this problem.

Thanks for the reply
Would you buy the case again or something else out there that you think looks better ?

I would buy it again. I also have the ballistic HD case but replaced it with the PX. The only other case I will try out will be the sedio obex once its available. The good thing about the PX case is it is not real thick which I like so not sure if the sedio will be too much for me.

The DualTek Extreme Impact is looking pretty nice also cool video off the dealers page
Spent the whole night looking at cases online just got the phone and want to get a case before i drop it
For some reason I keep coming back to the Pure Gear cases I'd take the DualTek Extreme or the PX260 maybe even the PX360
http://www.pure-gear.com/shop-by-category/protection/dualtek-extreme-shock-case-shield-for-samsung-galaxy-s-iii-collection.html
The Dualtek is really nice. It adds some bulk to the phone but the phone is protected for sure. I love that it has a lip that sits above the edge of the screen. The buttons may be a little hard to get used to at first but I have no complaints about it.

So I bit the bullet and ordered it Sunday night from amazon, and I have to say I'm glad I did.
added some pictures:
Left is my Mercury TPU and the right obviously the DualTek

Was wandering if anyone tried this. It actually looks decent on the YouTube videos I have watched. 10 with case, screen protector, and nfc tag.
Made the mistake of buying a double dip case today. Didn't do anything but I decided it wasn't worth the risk so I took it off and boxed it back up. The sales guy asked to se my phone when I was looking at it and he decided to quickly slide the phone in from the top and pop the ends on himself. I was scared to take it off. I liked the fit of the case I just didn't like the colors and was nervous about the future damage it might do.

Got mine about a week and a half ago. Got the soft suede like grey one and I love it. Looks beautiful, feels incredibly well made, sleek as can be and gets out of the way when I don't need it Based on this case and the other Nillkin cases I've had I am seriously becoming a Nillkin fanboy
I bought the black one and I am generally happy with the case. My only gripe is that the material on the inside of the flip is microfiber and boy does it get nasty... Especially around the edges.

I don't have one of these cases, but I do have their hard case for my HTC One and it's excellent, very good quality and amazingly cheap. I have one for my Nexus 4 and it's similarly good.

Yes I have to agree. I have the black Nillkin flip case and in the beginning I was like this case is sweet but after that first week it's just ehhh... The inside of my case (the inside flap) is dirty and just an eyesore but the good thing is, I'm gonna cut the flap so it's not as wide and just tape it up with electrical tape for the frayed edges. I'm trying to cut it so it can fit into the cd slot in my car so I can use it as a DIY car dock sort of. One thing I have to say it does snap on well to the One. The case kinda distracts from the beauty any way. I ended up buying a phone sleeve with a card holder so I can minimize the **** in my pockets and so I wouldn't have to use a case but it's still protected while in my pocket.
