READ ME
THIS IS BASED ON MSSMISON's ORIGINAL ROM for Samsung Galaxy TAB
Since mssmison is busy, i created this thread for the continuation of his work, it has been so many days and weeks since it was updated,
I have contacted mssmison and mentioned this, we've been closely communicating in the background.
All credits and links can be found in the original forum link mentioned herein.
Many thanks to mssmison for starting the orginal thread, this is also for the legacy of his work
That thread might find the end of it's update so let's continue here
PLEASE BEAR WITH ME TOO,
I am busy with xdaAutoTool and so many thread support, i will do my best for this rom
THE WORK
I will still need help for solving the other issues,
If you are a dev and want the MIUI for SGT to be one of the desired rom for the TAB please join in.
I do this for fun, if anyone owning a tab finds a solution please do post too
I would gladly welcome anyone who would want to make this rom as stable as it can be
I will be updating the rom as much as i can when i update my Desire as well as other forum responsibilities has been taken care of
Please bear with me, FYI, my SGT does not have a SIM as well. LOL
I have nothing to offer to anyone, i dont do things to make something out of it.
But i am hoping friendship and good character will bring us somewhere in a state where we will find true greatness and happiness in what we do
Then we can make many users happy in this community by having a stable MIUI ROM! Cheers!
Join the band wagon!
The files will be based from MIUI.CNs odexed ROM, only deodexed, zipaligned and modded for sgt
And the rest from mssmison's original release for sgt + of course cm from technomancer

Great work XJ. I feel proud to be a Singaporean lol. Rarely see a sg dev around.
About a week ago, I installed the 1.10.21. The only deal breaker for me was that my bluetooth keyboard couldn't connect with only this rom. It does with the rest of the rom available. Just letting you know.
Nice work again and thanks.

night folks, 1.10.28 is up, have a great day to all
Great work Xavierjohn.
I just updated from 10.23 and my launcher kept force closing. I managed to get to the application settings, so i could clear the launcher data, that solved the force closes.
Two things I noticed: The battery icon disappeared. Top bar option works, but graphical and percentage wont.
And how can I change the window transition animation? Its making me dizzy when switching through lot of windows. ;-)
Hi,
Can you direct me to your required sourcecode?
I want to play with the kernel and check it out.
I've got some things i want to try
Thanks!

Yeah, buddy,
I suck at kernels too, lol, at least for sgt as well, ived just had the sgt from wife for as long as i have posted personal stuffs in my fanboys space, ha ha ha
Glad you are here,
The BOCA rom has wi-fi tethering / hotspot functioning right?
This one does not from the start, error turning on, my first logcat during that time was the lib files, but then im beginning to understand more, ha ha. i think its also with the kernel from the beginning of the roms release.
The Battery Icon on the status bar doesn't work.
READ HERE
For all people saying that the battery icon is not visible, just change status bar color with the apposite miui app. Try to use black instead of white, because the battery icon is white! White+white=can't see **** captain! [cit.]
I have'nt said that the icon is not visible but that has many bugs! The only way to see is in "topbar" mode. Neither in graphical that in percentage works.
More: when I set it in percentage mode I can see the icon only in charging but with a big "?" on it!

The default framework is not really default. The clock is still centered, and no battery icon shown.
I'm back to the 10.23....

My status bar was black already. So this isn't a solution.

the default framework is the default.
the clock is centered because of system ui not framework, and because of extended settings which is in the rom, launcher is modded base from andy, systemui and miui control panel added.
the battery icon not showing is not because of framework. it maybe something else which i need to see when i did the mod when i am on pc to see logcat

maybe a good thing would be
stock framework
stock launcher
stock systemui
no 4 way reboot
then all else find on your own
realize too that all these are coming from s different model, the i9000, need to mod some apks to make it work with sgt.
let me recompile those stock apks from i9000, that should fix the batt bar, if it is not is desire and other roms as bug.

Changelog
26-6-2012 Version 1.7:
- Now running at -O3 optimization level again.
- Netflix should(finally) be working again.
- ROM is now built dynamically along with the kernel. So is the external SGX and Wlan libraries. This should ensure better compatibility going forward.
- Reworked the top swipe functionality. Now contains 3 customizable swipe-zones. (See screenshot at end of post).
- Show/Hide statusbar from swiping no longer force-closes apps.
- QuickSettings from swiping works.
For screenshots, see: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27868124&postcount=1820

Bugfix patch
- Rebuilt kernel using the newest CodeSourcery Toolchain. Included sbradymobile's touch event filter. (Should help reduce the touchscreen eagerness a bit)
- Now running Ondemand governor as default again.
- Compiled thumb as -Os. This fixes MXplayer (Netflix is still broken )
- All ARM libraries are compiled as -O3. Performance should be the same as 1.6, if not a bit better!
- Added top swipe functionality. Go to Settings->System->Swipe Action to set it up. Currently supports "show/hide statusbar", "back button", "home button", "QuickSettings" and "none".
- Added an option in Settings->System for turning on/off the CRT lockscreen animation(Checkbox is a bit inconsistent, just click it until it works).
- Added a new softbutton theme - Axi0m (suggested by barrmulio)
- Now uses the new CM9 bootanimation

Bugfix patch
- Fixed graphic glitches introduced in the last build. (This will need testing, but I hope everything is back to normal!)
- Removed camera from default landscape lockscreen.
- Added BoostedAss2 governor. (Suggested by aaricchavez)
The new governor should be a more powersaving version of the Smartass2 governor.
(Note that I still recommend Ondemand as your default governor. It currently features the best dualcore control and deepsleeps well.)
27-5-2012

- GPS has been fixed(Thanks Hashcode!)
- Upgraded WPA-supplicant from 0.8 to 1.0 (Wifi-tweaks)

- Music now comes preinstalled(can be uninstalled)
- ADB should be fixed once and for all.
Edit: Volume has been fixed. Now loud err than before!

7-5-2012 Version 1.25
Fixed "Reboot to Recovery", now fully functional! (Requires FFF1.4)
Fixed force close when going to Settings->About Tablet->Status.
Changed USB footprint to match that of the stock ROM. This should fix most adb problems. If you still have trouble connecting through adb, see this post: http://www.jayceooi.com/2011/12/13/how-to-install-kindle-fire-adb-usb-driver/
Updated wlan-libraries. This *should* improve general stability of the wifi.
Removed "adb enabled" notification.
Added a new battery-icon option(Truly fitting the ICS style!)
Can be enabled in settings. The name is ICSCircle.
- Thanks to atraperegrinus for suggesting this sweet look
3-5-2012 Version 1.2:
Major patch
Fullscreen mode! You can now show/hide the status bar by holding the power button and clicking a button! See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25618980&postcount=373 for screenshots!
Ported several new CPU governors to Hashcode's kernel. Default governor is now OndemandX at 1.2GHz - should improve battery life!
Other governors for testing:
Smartass V2
InteractiveX
For more info, see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25619678&postcount=378
New custom circular battery icon! Can be selected by going to settings->system->status bar-> battery status style. Nothing changed about the normal icons.
New build.prop tweaks: Disguises the tablet as a Galaxy Nexus when browsing for apps. This should allow for new games to run on the KF. (Tested on Dungeon Hunter 3 and Asphalt 6 HD)
Users running on FFF1.4 can now reboot into recovery(Thanks Hash!)
Removed flightmode from powerdown-menu.
28-4-2012 Version 1.15:
Small bugfix patch
Running on Hashcode's latest kernel.
Default CPU clock is 1008MHz, can be overclocked in settings to the usual 1.2GHz.
Volume-slider now controls the actual volume, and not that of notifications.
Newest Gapps included - should fix any problems with Play Store, purchases, etc.
Bluetooth.apk included for use with OTG.
Trebuchet launcher included, choose between Trebuchet/Apex at first boot.
27-4-2012 Version 1.1:
USB Mass Storage is now working properly - had to rewrite/merge the custom SystemUI with the newest CM-version.
Fixed the size of the bootanimation.
Removed the custom Play Store - was causing too many problems.
Changed default launcher to Apex - Same simple design, but with loads of customization available!
Included LiveWallpapers and Email apps by popular demand, if you are missing any of the other apps that I have removed, download the "removedapps.zip" and install it.

What sort of update frequency will you be doing? (e.g. from CM9 repo nightly changes)

I usually wipe everything but my sdcard when installing a new ROM. If you do flash over your current ROM, be sure to do a backup of your data first

Will try to keep it as updated as possible. Most of the CM9 changes are rather small though, at least compared to the progress being done by Hashcode and intersectRaven

Can you please tell me if I can download gameloft apps from amazon appstore?
I bought order & chaos, dungeon hunter 2, backstab HD, eternal legacy there and more and none show up in that appstore with any CM7 or CM9 i have tried.
Thank You to anyone that can answer.
Loving it but!
I like it a lot looking very good, but one question how do i activate live wallpapers? Love the fact that I can download the apps without the country restriction since i beleive those restrictions are dumb and stupid and selfish...KEEP THE GREAT WORK! and help with those live wallpapers! also what is that game on the screen shot i want that!! thanks!
this is a rocking ROM. I am all about loving the improvements.
When i initially flashed it though TWERP advised the install failed every time. has any one else had this issue?
additionally:
i tried to install kernel 3 and got failure on this front as well. is there a way to see what kernel i am running at this time?
again a great build. Keep it up

Yes. LED lights up, but the charging indicator in the notifications won't indicate it. I just watched it go from 95% to 96%, so it's definitely charging.

Does USB mass storage work on this ROM? What do you have your min freq set to? Other than the regular Kernel 3.0 bugs, Is there anything else that's not working?
Thanks for your response.

Hey guys,
As of now there is no pure AOKP ROM for our Vision so I decided to port it over. This is based on the Nexus S version of AOKP. Thanks to Team Kang, jerl92 and CyanogenMod for the base ROMs.
Additionally I made this ROM tablet mode ready. This ROM is already V6 SuperCharged, big thanks to zeppelinrox for his amazong script. The V6 SuperCharger script is also copied to the root of your sdcard so you can change settings at any time. As well you will find the "Daemon Controller" app by Sybregunne and his oc daemon ready for action (just open up and change frequencies, governor or change to sleep and wake profile).
Have a look at the changelog in the 2nd post to see what changed from last version.
To improve the experience with this ROM in the future any constructive feedback is very much appriciated.
So long
Cid-Vox
Tablet Mode:
You can easily switch to tablet mode with this ROM. These are the steps to activate tablet mode:
1. Set the build.prop value for ro.sf.lcd_density to 128
- Method1: rename the build.prop (to build.phone) and the included build.tablet to build.prop
- Method2: use an app to change the density Link
- Method3: LCD Density Modder Pro can apply a density only for the next boot
2. Set the font size to huge (works with normal too but its hard to read)
3. Patch your Play Store (if you need it)
- Method1: get the hacked play store here
- Method2: you can use an app to fix the Play Store, as of now I only know LCD Density Modder Pro
4. Your soft-buttons might be crammed together - use a custom image for one of the 5 possible buttons (take a simple black picture and the button will be "hidden")
Get more help and info here and here.

Instructions:
1. Do a full wipe (recommended but not always necessary)
2. Go to recovery and flash the ROM
3. Flash gapps
4. Reboot (this might take some time due to app optimization)
5. If battery drains fast do a full charge this might fix that
6. Enjoy AOKP and ICS

This is interesting. What exactly does tablet mode do? I've read up on a few other device forums about it but the descriptions are really vague. Is it multi window for android handsets?

Your phone will look and behave like a tablet.
For example the settings have dual-pane or gmail aswell.
Holy **** this looks awesome, thanks!
not completely satisfied with current ICS offerings for DZ, so I'm trying this out.
thanks for the dev!
So far, I keep getting "ROM Control has Stopped". The ROM is greatly by the way, I'm deciding on using this or my HTC Amaze with ICS.
Here is a screen shot of tablet mode

pressing the home button gives me the option of Launcher or Nova Launcher.
What is this rom intended to be used with? Or are there any tweaks to make it run better with one launcher vs. the other?
I've only used MIUI and Trebuchet Launcher, I'm unaware as to what makes Nova launcher good...
I plan on downloading when I get home for SURE but while I'm out, does camera and keyboard rotation work ? Any lag problems ? I imagine not since its based on a fully functional ROM but just asking

Nova launcher is there for tablet mode because any other launcher will crash. And go here for mods. And since this is milestone 5, look for the mods that have m5 in the titles.

Holo Light Green theme up in this bizzzzzzznaaaaaaz.
im pleased.
battery life seems a little poor.
but i'll be around a charger most of the day, so that's fine.
this rom is snappy!
Anyone know how to get rid of the TABLET buttons after flashing a theme?
I am trying to turn it off in the Nav Bar settings and it's not taking effect.
EDIT: New issue. Changed density to 128 within ROM CONTROL options. And now I have to reflash the rom. It is causing system to crash and nova to crash. Endless crash loop. Reflashing now.
I've been running this ROM in non-tablet mode all morning. I haven't tried an ICS ROM since Virtuous Quattro RC3 because I was sick of the camera bug. Nice to see that's all sorted these days
Tried to launch Viber & it sent the phone into a freeze for several minutes, then it rebooted itself. Not sure which is at fault here, the app or the ROM.
Everything seems a little laggy (moving between home screens, launching & navigating through the app drawer, etc.), even after OC.
ETA: Sorry if this is a n00b question, but it seems that Gmail & Maps (the apps themselves) aren't included in the gapps, is that right? I flashed the gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip version. Play, Talk, and the other bits seem to be working. I've been wondering why my emails weren't coming up on my phone & realised I didn't actually have Gmail installed...
I am getting error 942 whenever i try to download something on the play store, this is regardless of the version of the Play Store i use. Any idea?

a note about linaro (warning, tech mumbo jumbo ahead)
These builds do NOT include the new Linaro optimizations. The optimizations don't increase the speed of Android by 100%, nor do they inject butter. They use a newer toolchain to compile Android, which has more optimizations. The Linaro people have also made the proper changes in Android code to allow builds to be compiled with -O3 instead of -O2 flags (think of it as another pass of code optimizations).
Please do not ask us whether we will include them in the future. We like speed as much as the next guy, but we want to make sure that it doesn't break ANYTHING. When/if it's ready, you'll know.
Enjoy!

waiting for this
It is ready now - 610363c496cba11dac5b5ff033e76a49 md5sum.
Downloaded and flashed a while ago. Let's see how it's working
I'll report later.
Edit:
OK, that rom is extremely smooth, much better than other AOKP roms I've tested (it's based on Andromadus as I can see so that is clear for me).
But there is one thing that makes me that I cannot use this rom: it is battery drain by AlarmManager wakelock (it's about 20% now). I know that it isn't connected with THIS rom, because I had this also on Andromadus Beta 3. If anyone know any sollution for this issue I will appreciate it very much.
Anyway, thanks @adamz667 for Your work
Running now, I've been waiting for AOKP on my DZ!
Runs good so far, had some text do the crazy stuff it does on our ICS but it disappeared quickly.
Pretty smooth, I don't know what it is but the launchers just never feel quite up-to-speed with ICS on my brother's SGS (CSpire Showcase) or my Transformer Prime. Can't wait to see some tablet mode
First, I need to find a way to fix keyboard/led/camcorder. When it will be fixed then I will try to optimize rom and look after tweaks/mods.
SGS is similar to Nexus S, so they don't have a big problems with GPU drivers and HW acceleration probably and I think that is the reason of smoother launcher. But I could be wrong
Does this ROM doesn't have the invisible text in some applications? I really need this fixed before I start using ICS
My bank applications work fine in GB, but not in ICS (some text is invisible)

It happens, but not like I've seen it happen in most others. Usually I have to exit and re-enter apps a time or two for text to start displaying right, but on this one I can just kind of move around the app and everything starts adjusting itself and showing up.
Just to clarify, you don't mean actual missing text do you, but the way letters will heavily distort and get close to "vanishing?"
no I actually meant missing text, the text is just not there...
not the distortion thingy.

Just check with alarm wakeup you device (BBS -> Alarms). For me right now it is phone and gsf (because of 3g connection enable and this use alarms a lot).
Updated OP.
Okay, so broken things should not be broken now Now, I need to make some clean up and push code to github.
Some AOKP related options like Themes and Pulse led on battery low probably will not work. But i will look on it.
So if you can - test it a lot, and if you have some problems - desrcibe it and attach some logs.

Installed last night, set it up how I like, all seemed well. Alarm goes off this morning, and as soon as I touch the screen it FC's. Fine, at least it went off lol. Get to work, set it down in front of me and realize that the Google Account Manager is messing up so I start searching out this thread. Find this thread, and when I look down it's infinitely bootlooping lol
Right now I've moved to MIUI.us as I test something out for another poster, but I wanted to let you know about it. Also, no Mobile Data toggle. So, you're building these from AOKP source correct? Wouldn't the Milestones be the ones to port over since they're considered the most stable?
Thank you for the work!
Hm, it's strange, because I have no problems with alarm. Did you do a full wipe before rom installation? It is also recommended to make a logcat dump, so I can see what went wrong.
Yes, I'm building it from AOKP source code. Latest build is based on Milestone 5, but there are still some problems with device configuration files and libs. It looks like AOKP is not fast developed as CyanogenMod (and Andromadus so) is. I need time to figure it out.

Yes, full wipe. I'll install again later on and see if I can't replicate the issue.
I see. Well again, thank you, AOKP is just the bees' knees for me, I love ICS and I love all the extra options they put right into the ROM with it.
I will do cleaner build tomorrow and see if it will be more stable.
Also I would like to add mobile data and 2g/3g switch and other tweaks, but if rom is not stable I don't want to mess it more.
this comes to you thanks to 1ceb0x and rukin. Both great devs. These are 1ceb0x's builds for GSM, cdma-ified. You should hit up their original threads here:
1ceb0x's thread
Rukin's thread
Also a giant thanks to Curiousn00b, who fixed the videocam recording issue. Please thank him!
1ceb0x was nice enough to let me bring this to you, so keep it civil in here guys. Bugs will be the exact same as his builds, i just cdma-ified them so we can enjoy them too. New build is coming as i type this, now we will be on par with 1ceb0x's gsm builds.
Leave me bugreports if things dont work. Logcats and a description of the problem are helpful. All bugs will be present in both 1ce's gsm build and my cdma build from him.

To be honest, this is not tablet mode at all. This project will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the feel of it.

Hybrid mode is the heart and soul of paranoidandroid. Forget tablet mode or build.prop changes! Hybrid mode will not break your phone, your apps, your market, nothing will shrink or become unusable. Entire parts of AOSP have been rewritten to make this possible, you will not get anything like it anywhere, this is the only rom on Android capable of these things.
Hybrid mode means you can control the size and the actual layout of any app individually. Keep in mind, apps bring their own layouts, they will display according to your device. That’s why apps like gmail, settings, youtube, camera, chrome, etc., transform completely when you run them on a tablet. This rom allows you to choose whatever layout you like best, we don’t fool around with DPI, we extract the actual layouts from your apk’s and you select them with a tap. Apply and you’re done. No reboot necessary. You can target anything: apps, system components, widgets, launchers, keyboards, statusbars, lockscreen, etc.
Finetune your workspace or apply hybrid settings to all your apps if you don’t like to set them up individually. Individual settings will still override this so you can still get the look you want.
For ease of use you can access hybrid properties in your recents view, this will allow you to quickly review changes. Basic things like recents, toggles, etc. have been made usable across all UI modes.

If you have an issue and you want to call our attention, here's what you do:
1. Try everything you can, find solutions for yourself. Wipe caches, revert all your settings you have made, factory reset if you have to or reflash the rom. Assume that the issue is on your side and try your best to isolate it.
2. Search this thread and Cyanogenmods aswell (its our base) for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.
3. If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease our work and look into it, post your issue, BUT ...
... stay friendly, do not demand anything, do not threaten
... explain your issue as precise as you can, name the exact apps and conditions that cause trouble, help us to replicate the issue right away. If we can't there's no way we can fix it and your post will simply clutter the thread
... collect evidence, keep in mind this is a developer thread so even if you are not one, do us the favor and research how to record logcat. logcat is the single most important help you can give us to resolve your issue.

i just installed this, full wipe-cache, dalvik, system, data. I'm using simon's SuperSick kernel version 1.1(get better battery life with that one). I keep getting a force close on the camera when trying to open it. Also, the Hwa settings force closes on boot and when I try to open it. Aside from that issue, love speed and smoothness.
Thanks for your replys guys. I'll be working on 1ce's newest update soon which solves a lot more stuff. Not sure why the cam isn't working right, hopefully the next version works OK.
You can use a 3rd party camera app from Google play like camera ICS. It should solve problems till I update.
Sent from my One V using xda app-developers app
Looking forward to the update. i tried camera ICS and get the same force close. The other camera apps I've tried, Camera FX, Line Camera, Camera MX, all lock the home screen in landscape mode unless you uncheck autorotate. Hopefully you can fix the issue. Thanks for porting this to our device.
forgot to add, its hard for me to get things going on the weekends, my phone is mission critical all weekend. during the week, i dont need to field any calls, so im going to start the next port today and get it all tested out. hopefully it should be ready before mid week, please dont hold me to that though.
ill make sure the next port has all the camera issues solved, i was looking through 1ce's work over on the gsm side, and they dont seem to be having the issue (or nobody is talking about it lol) so it should be easy to fix.
thanks for being patient guys!
Thanks for the work, no rush. I know you devs donate your time and effort to bring the rest of us these ROMs.
I realize you have a life and will take the updates as they come.
Edit: You may want to check with rukin about the camera. I think he got both camera and video recording working on aokp for primoc.
thanks riggerman. i owe you a thanks, im out for the day. :good:
Ninja edit: new January 3rd build uploading now. Camera works for me, camcorder still fcs like every other jb build we have. Apps in the market can give you video recording. Hwa settings still fcs, ignore it or remove the apk from /system/app if you would like. Link will be in 2nd post again. Happy hacking!
edit 2: new build posted in 2nd post. THANKS TO 1ceb0x for this.
HWA Settings turned out to be a Kernel problem. You could remove that.
And why does Camera recording not work? Its works 100% for me?
Sent from my One V using Tapatalk 2
Please clue me in to what your doing to have working video recording lol I've been in wondering how to get that working since I started running jb. Every jb ROM for me has fcs when I press the record button. 3rd party apps seem to work but I have never been able to get the one in the ROM to record. If you can help me get it working solid I'll give you credits in the op.
I'll delete the hwa settings also, probably the next update for that.
Also I'm giving you an text thanks since I'm out of them for the day.

Just my hardware keys are not lit up is there a backlight setting I may have missed? Thanks once again for this....
Sent from my One V using Tapatalk 2
Hei dude,
For HWA settings you need to do this in init.rc:
Code:
and in init.rc, you need to create the folder /data/local/hwui.deny and set his owner to system user
For cam recorder - i have no clue. maybe some libs that you need to change? what does the logcat say?
awesome that you have this up an running! i am glad that now the cdma side will benefit from this rom by using your work.
Everything is working great so far except for PA Settings. I can set between Phone, Phablet and Tablet UI but when I go to change the default sizes everything remains the same and none of the sliders work. Play store and a bunch of apps are at HUGE display sizes.
When I port the ROMs over, I don't change the sensor files or anything. Just APNs and Telephony part in build.prop.
Changing the name from PrimoU to C causes you to have to replace even more files. The phone will have PrimoU file but looking for C files which aren't there, so you'll have to add those in as well.
So I leave my phone as PrimoU. Not a big deal

Ill have to mess around with stuff. There shouldn't be a difference between primou and primoc libs though, but I'll look at it more.
