Guys I just came across this article http://smartmobilegadgets.wordpress.com/2007/07/31/htc-tytn-ii-the-ultimate-mobile-companion/ which listed specs for Kaiser, included in the bottom it says that the Kaiser will have Touchflo. Could this give the gurus on this forum (by the way you guys are incredible) the neccessary .dll files to finally get touchflo working on the Hermes (I might be buying a Kaiser anyway but it would be cool to have options) does anyone have access to those files?
people are working on this already. be patient
Where is that Kaiser?
I didn't see it on any of the site of HTC. Can anyone tell me when it will be releasing and where to buy it. i m in KSA (Saudi Arabia) at this time.

HTC hasn't released it yet. Rumour has it that it would be released in US at around end of Aug or sometime Sept. To me this is the device of the year.
Looking at the wiki here and looking at the ROM upgrades but which one will allow it to be unbranded instead of it having a bunch of cingular stuff on it? It seems all but a bunch of European ROM's
Is it possible to unbrand it? just wanted to know before I spend $119 on another PDA.. 3 in one week is enough.

Ever since I stopped using I-mate ROMs and went with the ROMs from here I have not had any branding of any tyope in my BA. The ROMs here work perfectly well for me in the Middle East even though they were not "developed for here". They are quite generic in nature and should be fine for you no matter were you reside. I have seen users from all over the world posting in these forums about the updates they have flashed. There is a wealth of knowledge both here in the forums and in the wiki as well, more in the wiki actually.
I have a BA PH20B (Qtek 9090) which came with WM2003 from TIM Brasil.
I've used "generic" ROMs from (WM6) Helmi's and Xplode without problems, eventhough there is no WM6 branded ROM to compare.
I believe that you won't have problems with it.

Hi, this is my first phone with windows mobile and I'm looking at flashing the firmware, I have a couple of questions tho and I apologise if they are n00bish.
Which is the newest Rom out of the following
WWE_1.93.405.1 (I believe this to be the UK one??? clarification please)
WWE-ME_1.93.456.2 (what does the ME stand for?)
HK_WWE_1.93.831.1 (this is the hongkong english)
The phone is a UK phone.
Cheers.
The third set of numbers is a region code, unrelated to "features" of the ROM, so the ROM versions in your list are actually 1.93.xxx.1 and 1.93.xxx.2
The WWE stands for "World Wide English", however I have also been curious about what the "ME" stands for. 1.93.xxx.2 is the latest ROM version I've seen so far, so hopefully someone can clarify the ME, as I've been hesitant to flash it until finding out.
ME= Middle East?
I too have a question.
Is there any difference if the same ROM is from HK or UK or India?
If there is no difference, then why does HTC regionally lock them? *scratch head*
And are the radios performance highly dependent on your local telco?

CSC = LUX
Build date: April 4th 2011
http://hotfile.com/dl/114950080/742a49f/I9000XWJVA_LUXJV2_XXJVK.rar.html
Wonder why they release JVA as JVB is out, guess we will never know the reasoning unless its a more stable build, or different region
Is JVA a later build of 2.3.3 than JVB?
Its XW, not XX. CSC = LUX
I can't understand...
This should be the other version (maybe the one with CSC ITV) which was supposed to be released this week (according to Samsung's tweets and announcements).
Am I wrong or this "A" and "B" thingie is some kind of chronologic update? I mean, A comes before B, so JVA "might" be worse than JVB...
This is a stupid idea, I know, but I can see that the developers we have here are WAY better than samsung ones.
It's up on sam firmware

Sorry, but what do you mean with "UK-centric"? Anyway I am not really sure about flashing these new Gingerbread roms... It seems that they didn't test them much enough before the official release...
Could someone post a quick review for me? Something like:
Good things:
....
Bad things:
....
Thanks! D

The XW region code is Western Europe, so often gets used for UK (XEU CSC code) firmwares. XX is worldwide generic, and often defaults to the KOR (Korea) CSC code.
However, this ROM is now confirmed as being a LUX code, which is indeed Western Europe, but not UK.
Thank you bud
Would you recommend to flash the JVB version of Gingerbread? I'm on the stock 2.2.1 CSC ITV, don't know anything about bootloaders or stuff like that.

If that were the case, then JVK should technically have been more up-to-date than any of the two you mentioned. The only thing we can be certain here is that Samsung's approach to versioning and release is confusing.
I don't fault you for saying what you do, but it's important to appreciate the difference between what Samsung's and xda's developers are doing. Samsung's developers have to take a no-frills Android ROM and rebuild it into a usable operating system complete with full support for all the phone's hardware and software packages, to say nothing of having to write the TouchWiz framework from scratch. In comparison, a lot of developers here are just remixing and hacking upon a complete product that Samsung's developers have produced.
The devs here are doing a great thing, and I agree that at times certain decisions that Samsung took on the product design may be quite suspect, but it's not very considerate to discount the hard work of those who have enabled this to all take place in the first place.

I'd wait a couple of days.
I'm using JVB at the moment, having "updated" from JVK (which now looks to be the "generic" release) - the speed these things are popping out, I reckon there'll be an ITV coded release pretty soon.

Yeah, I got your point, but I meant that here, the Developers work for the whole XDA community - and not only - and they try to create the best Roms or Kernels, which are obviously based on what Samsung releases.
The thing is that it is really great to find people who can spend time on cooking modified roms or kernels, and most of them - if not all of them - do that for free. We are not paying for Samsung's firmware updates, but considering that Samsung's Developers are paid to do the best job they can do for their customers, they should do more. And they COULD.
That's why I think XDA ones are better, because they consider what people asks for and what people would like.
any difrence from xwjvb ?
I think in a couple of days TouchWIz4.0 will com out 4 our Galaxy S.
Since Galaxy S II come out there will be some other Rom that would be ported to the S I.

I'm not that positive... Of course, as soon as SGS II comes out, some developers will try to port TW4.0 on our SGS, but if it was possible I think Samsung would have added it with the last update.
Maybe some new firmwares will come out in a few days (weeks, months, years LOL) and maybe, as you stated before, we will have TW4 on our phones...
Let's hope.

We're going to wait a few days for our official release with Kies
@LuffarJoh: Build Date isn't necessarily the Release Date, so it can be built today and released in a month!

Build date is 4th April, I think that it has been encrypted on 6th April.
I think Samsung aren't gonna release Touchwiz 4 for the Galaxy S and if they do it will be after the S2 has hit the market.
It gives more reasons to upgrade to the latest S phone and also makes it an even bigger release than it already is.
Hello.
I have a question about 1.4 update. Will Sony or Google give our watches this update?
Or is it possible to manually create/build this update?
I'm asking because, I'm from Poland and I wait for the Polish language
My English isn't too good and this is my first post on XDA so please understand me.
Thanks for your help

Hello! Welcome to XDA community
As far as I know the update is issued by Google themselves, not Sony, so we just have to wait. I've read somewhere that one of the Sony officials (from Sony Germany I think) wrote that the update will be out before 15th April. It's pretty freaking late because Android Wear 1.4 is out for almost two months now.
I'm also waiting for Polish language

Have you got any sources that state that the AW 1.4 update is coming before the 15th April? I'm sorry if i sound skeptic, but I'm looking forward to buying this watch (as in Italy it now costs 140 euros, which is pretty cheap), but the whole update thing kinda scares me away...
A few things about android updates...
They happen when they happen. Whatever rumors we get are just that, rumors
Eventually these watches will be phased out of updates, but that has not happened yet, and should not for at least the next generation or two (this speculation based on Android's close to two year update support)
This watch has many hardware oddities that make it take longer for some updates (this is one), and some of those are why I enjoy this watch
There is a thread on the general forum about this. There are official links confirming the update is coming. When, now that is a different story.
