Cyanogen or Arayray?

I'm trying to decide between this two roms, can someone please help me decide I want to know which one is faster, stable and that has an overall better performance meaning the one tha has the least bugs, thanks in advance....

Why don't you try them both out for a couple of days and see what you like better. Personally I prefer Cyanogen but I would suggest trying them both.

They are pretty similar in speed, but cyanogen has more options and is more widely supported.

I have one more question "I know lol, mabad" are there any flashable themes for CyanogenMod for the mytouch slide or atleast a way to customise the notification bar? ....again thanks for the help .

In settings>Cyanogenmod settings>user interface there are plenty of options for notification bars, colors, etc. Also, if you look in the development section for Cyanoginger 1.1, should be near the top, that flashes a gingerbread theme, plus the new market, keyboard, and a couple of other things if I remember correctly.

[Q] flashing cyn mod 7 with new radio

i like have no signal while Im at work,in hosptial. With Myn i had signal power lots of place. Ever since I went ginger happy i get like no data connection at all. so like no texting while im at work. I wanna flash the latest radio but is wondering if a good move or bad. Holla back and letme know...
also where can i find the latest radio zip.

Yes, of course you should update your radio. Especially because it can help with speed issues. Update with the zips on this thread
You flash any of them through your recovery, but I wouldn't update your HBoot which is why it's not in the combo.

It wont let me download radio 215. Why is that. From Cal's site

Oops didnt mean the thanks, but o well. Those downloads are working fine, your best bet is to use the combo one on the very top.

Now signal bars drop down to all white. More drop calls as well. Should I have just dl the whole string update?

[Q] Signal Issues

Hey, i'm using Warm-Z Nightly 4-13, on radio 11.19.
I see my signal tend to disappear then reappear every so often. During that time, i'm not able to do anything that involves the radio like data or sms or phone calls.
Is it because of the actual radio? Should I downgrade to 07.28 again?

That Sounds to me as if its radio related. Did you flash the radio when you put on the new nightly? Or have you been using that radio for a while?

I've been using this radio for about a month or two now.

Damn auto correct......Hmmm.....well in that case this is kind of odd. Maybe the 4/13 nightly build had a glitch with that radio. I'd try either restoring your old nightly or just flashing a different nightly. If you still seem to have problems then I would try a new radio. But if this radio just recently started glitching with your new nightly I would definitely say just change to a different nightly and see if it helps

It's been with all my ROMs lol. I just happened to be using Warm-Z right now. I'm on 4-14 right now and it's still doing it. I'm about to flash back to 07.28.. i just don't know if that's safe.

I'm actually on 07.28. As well as warm z twopointtwo 4/7 nightly with the same kernel. You'll be fine.....flash the new radio just make sure you know what you're doing before you start

Well, here goes. If anything. I got Best Buy on my side.
BTW, Warm-Z 4-14 has a new kernel. Ziggy's 04-13 kernel. In case you update.

It's a different version of it. The current one that's in the nightly is a beta and well Ziggy took off all links if the kernel so incubus was lucky to have it before it got deleted. Upgrade to 4-14 its really fast.

Nope. I don't pay attention to that stuff. I usually try to stay away from too many kernel mods.
But the new kernel its running doesn't bump charge at all, so you should like it.

Plus any news on that radio flash for ya? And when I go to flash this new nightly will I have to do a full wipe since it flashes kernel too? Cause I really don't like having to restore my apps and data with titanium

Sorry for the late reply, I have school and work.
But yeah, I updated to the leaked EVO 04.08 and the signal increased by -5 and i don't see the random disappearing anymore. When you flash the nightly, only wipe CACHE and DALVIK-CACHE. Do NOT wipe DATA unless you plan to start over.

[Q] after rooting 3G sign become evdo?

Hi guys...after roothing and install new ROM Virtuous Unity, my 3G sign on the status bar for mobile network became EVDO and i look at the settings for GLOBAL support but it was there. or switch to CDMA to GSM.? can some1 help me and clarify things? or is 3G & EVDO are the same? i got unlimit data plan on Verizon...it;s just concerns me...

Virtuous Unity is a rom port from a completely different phone. So you don't need to worry 3G on vzw is EvDO rev. A

thanks...so it means i cant use GSM mode when im using Vunity ROM? when travelling abroad? i cant find it in the settings

It the themes and apps section you'll find a zip which will change it back to say 3g.

I believe it doesn't support global mode yet. Use another ROM. Might I suggest RMKs debloated as a stable alternative?

MyTouch 4G port

Other then the MyVision rom does anyone know of a mytouch 4g 2.3.4 port to the G2.
Love his but really need TTS for nav and not working on this rom :-(

Thanks I will give that one a try looks a bit different like based off the mytouch 4g slide instead and requires a bit more but will give it a shot.
