HELP: Trying to get USB to work under bootloader to recovery botched ROM update

Hi guys,
I tried to upgrade my rom to BSB WM6.5G I have been running several versions of 6.5 with no issues. This time I am away and am using Windows on a Mac. I tried to use VMware with XP the tfirst time and it sat at 0% and didn't move (XP also tried to add the phone as new hardware during the update, not a good sign). I went into the recovery mode of the customruu that got me back to the bootloader but it still couldn't run the rom update.
Now I am running windows under bootcamp and I can't get the bootloader to recognise the USB. Everytime I connect I get XP trying to find drivers for the Qualcomm chip. Does anyone have any ideas about how to get the bootloader screen to go into USB mode so I can reflash the rom?
Thanks for any help
SOLVED
Kind of embarrasing..... The version of XP I am using to try and recover it didn't have active sync installed. Installed that and all is well. Note to self, dont use VMware to flash ROMs

[Q] Desire HD Gingerbread Upgrade 2.36

Hi guys,
I have got a seriouw problem with the upgrade of my HTC Desire HD to the new leaked official ROM 2.36 etc. 'Gingerbread'. when I have downloaded the .exe from this website (by mirror) and would like to upgrade my phone, the first steps all go flawless.
Immediately when the upgrade program restarts my phone to access the bootloader, the HTC logo appears in my screen and stays there. After about two minutes, the program says that my phone is not properly connected with the usb cable to my computer and it ends the upgrade procedure. when I disconnect the phone, it won't restart itself and I should pull out the battery to restart the phone...
Does anybody have the same problem? How have you fixed this? Or does anybody has any idea how I can fix this?
Many thanks!
Was your phone rooted before trying the update?
Is your Desire HD unlocked?

Bricked G Pad V500; Tried Everything

Hi all,
I just bought a Nexus 9 and I am selling my G Pad to a friend. I was running the V18 build and been happy with it ever since it appeared. However, today I tried to factory reset the device and it just boot looped complaining of a secure boot error, presumably as I was rooted. I tried to restore the tablet by using the official LG tool and the "Update Recovery" method yet that fails at 4% each and every time. I then tried to do the method found here (which I remember working, but not sure how I got it to work months ago). http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2692505
I have the drivers all installed okay, the PC is finding the tablet fine, however when trying to flash the TOT file I get "Download Fail" at the same point every time with an error like "00064" every time. I think this could be due to the low batttery and I have no left it charging in download mode (if this does charge?).
I'm not sure what else I can try now, the tablet is stuck in download mode and I cannot do anything with it, any help is appreciated and I can provide info to be more clear if needed.
Thanks all,
Tom.
Hi, I've had the same problem. For me the only solution was to install Windows XP (English version) and the progress bar magically skipped 4th percent. I think it has something to do with LG TOOL not being compatible with some Windows (languages) versions. You can give it a try, please let us know if it worked.

Can't install rom on LG G3 6.0 Mashmellow

Hi everyone! First i'd like to apologize for any english mistakes, since i'm brazillian! Here's the thing... Recently, i`ve updated my LG G3 with a 6.0 Marshmallow rom (from lg-roms website), and after some tests, i've decided to go back to 5.0 Lollipop. But here's the problem: when i tried to load the new room via lg flash tool, i get some errors, saying that my phone is not connected (just when i'm in the download mode). When i try to flash with the phone on, the lg flash tool recognizes him, begins the installation and reboots the fone to the download mode, but when the download mode initializes, the software shows the same message (that he is not connected). Also, i`ve tried to root the phone with kingroot (a bunch of versions) and i never get succesful. Can anyone help me with a solution so i can go back to 5.0?
Thank you gustavorossy for your post,
Same problem here. In addition, to make the phone recognize the pluged usb, I have to :
1- turn it off
2- plug the usb cable
3- turn it on with the cable pluged
Otherwise, if I turn it on without the cable pluged, or if it reboots during utilization, the phone don't detect the charger nor the PC or any other connection, till I follow the steps above. So it makes it impossible to go stock for exemple.
Except it, everything is working well and I tried to install various custom ROMs none of them fixed the problem.
Thanks a lot for any help.

touchscreen not working after updating issue

hi all, I own an op2 and decided to buy an used op3 for nfc and my idea was to keep it stock. op3 arrived and I turned it on, configure it and all seemed to work well (it came with android 6.0.1). then an update was detected and after reboot the touch was not responding at all, only hw and home keys. touch doesn't respond even in recovery, so in 5 mins I had a brick. I'm not a noob so I found some msm unbrick tools that full reflash the device, but the result is that if I flash a 6.0.1 image all works fine (touchscreen selftest all green and passed, handwriting test ok), if I flash one of the 8.0.0 images touch does not work! (don't have any Nougat image decrypted...). sideloading an ota produces the same issue, I tried to sideload ota001 6.0 (touch ok), ota002 6.0 (touch ok), ota010 6.0 (touch ok), ota020 7.0 (touch KO), ota070 8.0 (touch KO), ota073 9.0 (touch KO).
any tip? thanks
