I just read this article: http://wwwery.com/5697-droid-2-mult...-nexus-one-droid-droid-incredible-desire.html
Do we already have this or are we waiting to have out ported to the Incredible. Can somebody tell me what it offers in functionally over our stock keyboard. I'm using Swype to input right now so it probably won't matter much to me at this point.
Sorry if this has been talked about already. I don't think my search function works well on the XDA app, and I wasn't able to find anything on the topic for the Incredible.

You guys realize that the stock HTC keyboard on froyo is multitouch enabled?

No, that's why I was asking about it. So what does it really do differently? I'm just curious.

One cool way to show off, or test, your multitouch keyboard is to hold down one letter while typing with another finger

(updated 10/16/10 with how to ) Droid X multitouch keyboard 2.2 addition themed
To be honest I did use search and I didn't get the right results but I googled it and found the xda thread I was looking for, ironic? But thank you for the help. I have another question, does this only work in the evo(or other wvga phones) or is it universal?

The Droid X keyboard is by far the best I've ever used IMO. The Gingerbread keyboard sucks..Nobody has ported this?
I feel the same way, it would be awesome if someone could get this working on CM7.
agreed. the gingerbread keyboard keeps on repeating letters.
Are you talking about this keyboard? I'm using it right now. It's from the droid x forum.

No replies so I did a little more reading and it needs the stock skin to show up so I changed to that skin and boom it works anyone who would like to use just look in thunderbolt themes and flash the zip in cwm. Pretty cool change

About which keyboards from which android versions are you talking about?

You can allways download the gingerbread keyboard (by Steven Lin) from the market and use that as your input method. It`s my preffered keyboard.

You are using Desire HD? Then you are in the wrong section
But to answer your question, I assume that the original keyboard you are referring to is the one that came with the phone when you bought it right? That is the HTC IME keyboard.
Seach for HTC IME keyboard on the forums. There is a thread for it and you can even customize the looks if you want.
The keyboard that's on the CM7 rom is actually the official android keyboard.
Thanks guys appreciate it
