Really happy with this combination
Please move it to the right section of forum, sorry
please tell me - is still external sd card needed for samset ??

No, You don't need any external sd card if You don't want to use A2SD kernel from this set, if You want to use Samset with OneClicLagFix as I did - our magical file is created at internal sd card only.
Yeah, now I understand So, d\ling and testing How this combination works ? Any lags, bugs, FCs ?
I'm using the same combo but older version of OneClickLagFix - 2.1.
And I get 2151 points.
I'm very happy with it too )
2334 with this exact combination - even happier
Wrong forum section. Please keep this "development area" for development...
looks like just numbers to me.. dont care much even if it says 5000
but what i want to know is this combo good for day to day use, and where have you experienced lag and stalling? which im sure is still present...
Yup, i'm running the same but i have Chainfire's 1.70 CFLagfix running and i get a QScore of 2240
I'm running the latest samset with one click lag fix 2.3, and on top of that auto killer set to agressive. This is for me the killer combo! Beautiful theme, and absolutely lagfree. Get the high score 2200 also, but without autokiller I get sometimes little lag when my memory is filling up.you can notice for example when you pull the notification bar down, it does lag sometimes. Those little things disturb me...most of you say that you don't need auto killers, but I disagree. If I set autokiller this combination is complete lag fre,not one hickup. I'm a heavy user, use my device for a lot of things, and believe me, this combination of rom and fixes stays speedy, fluid and lagfree, even after days without rebooting.
Before I used the mimocan ext4 method, and I was also very happy with it, no lags. But this 2.3.fix is even better, especially internet browser is a lot faster, unbelievable. AlsohI booting the device is faster.
I think the key for any rom is a good lagfix and autokiller....man, I'm looking forward to froyo and JIT enabled performance! Even now this is no question the fastest phone to date
i had this combo but decided to remove autokiller as i felt it degraded performance
UGJG8, OneClick lag fix:
You got 2250 with 2.1?
Thats crazy.
I can confirm this, I am running the same combo and just did this:
Just re-ran it and got this:
Gonna see if I can break 2400
I apologise if this is a stupid question, I've only owned an Android phone a week and I'm still learning and I have to give a big thankyou to everyone on this forum who has made the Galaxy S great. I was reading it for about a fortnight before I got the phone.
Anyhoo I'm still running the Kernel with the A2SD fix. Am I able to just flash the stock kernel from JM5 over the top again thus allowing me to apply this fix or am I about to nuke my phone all over again?
I've flashed this thing about 6 times already (no seriously) and I'm just not up for reinstalling all my stuff again, I have the phone in a state where I'm very happy with it.
are there any issues still with the...
GPS
Asphalt auto-deleting itself
i think that's all i've got to ask for now lol.
what are you guys using to post screenshots btw
EDIT , got a program sorted lol ,
best score so far
JM5 with JG4 CSC , lag fix 2.0 and 1.2ghz OC
stoney
Have u installed Samset first without kernel update and then one-click lagfix?
i dont what you mean sorry , i havent heard of samset , what i did was this
flashed to " stock" with odin , using JG5 files ( csc , PDA - csc was swapped out to JG4 version to keep a few apps i needed and "the look" i required )
applied lag fix 2.0 using the supplied instructions , this got me to circa 2100-2200 quadrant)
using odin flashed OC kernel form the 1200mhz thread
Download and run setCPU from market , i set lower limit to 400mhz to try and conserve battery
it does freeze very occasionally and there is the much talked about wake up lag but once woken , the phone is very fast and sharp , no problems with GPS , maps ETC
Stephen
PS i apologize in advance if this doesn't make sense , im still learning the ropes

Shamanix`s Grass v2.0 - RapidShare
Patches
PTT Button FIX
Slow IE Scrolling FIX
Nice!! (^^)
I always ask, but ... What are the differences between this ROM and Schap's 4.22 ROM? Can you post a complete list with the changes? Is this ROM based in Normal or Lite?
I'm now using Shamanix`s Grass v1.3, and it's the best ROM I've ever use ...
Thanks!
Sesaru
It is based on full that I wanted to make into lite and leave internet sharing in, but it didn`t work out like planned..
I`ve done some cosmetic changes and removed some things that could be removed ( FTouchFlo, random access, large titlebar, ect.. )
man, been waiting for this one. thanks! flashing now and will report back
Downloading ....Nice work man
Fast !!! Could you please tell me what different between 1.3 and 2.0 ?
The difference is in the OS build version, v2.0 is the newest available out there ( thnx to Schaps )
v2.0 had more apps cooked in and it is not lite anymore like v1.3 is..
man, still just a fast if not faster! honestly, i think its a great job even without it being a lite rom. you kept the most important apps cooked in and actually save me from installing a few apps that slow the rom down. thanks!!!
is anyone getting an error on restart saying "ptt findwindow failed"? this is of course after installing the ptt fix. just checking

Yes that file has issues, I found this one in Schap's forum and it works without errors.
thanks much!
Not to be a b*tch, but it seems slower, and after re-assigning keys, they dont work. Figured you'd rather know than not know.
yup, it is a tad slow. personally i think schaps 4.01 has the best speed and stability so far so that's why Shamanix 1.3 works so well.
seems the same or faster to me and my device is loaded with stuff. not to mention i use the freestyle launcher which required flash lite to always be running and i have no issues with slow down of the program. honestly shamanix's roms have been the only ones that run as fast as it does currently. although i haven't tried one of shap's.
Great you build this one so fast! downloading now, shame i need to work this afternoon
I hoped you can make it to the lite version
as it has built in htc home and other stuff I don't use I won't be installing but will surely wait impatiently for your next lite version
will you still be working on lite one or rather wait for the new schap's rom?
Nope.. I`m sorry, but lite version simply will not work.. I`ve could remove HTC Home and Adobe Reader ( I use those anyway ), but if I remove any other app it messes up provmxl settings and cold boot customizations wich is not an option..
I gave my best but I just couldn`t figure out why removing RRS hub or BT explorer,..ect. will kill settings.
I know you gave your best, no doubt about that
but if schap will release new version you still will be trying to lite'ning it?
Yeah, I always go for lite...
It is a shame this one wouldn`t work out..
Lost my diamond cant boot cant flash, iv tried many things still same, so this project is closed,
Update: it came of the repairs, now it wont even start, before it was starting, so its officially dead. so i bought blackstone 3 days back.

I really do hate these questions...
I would imagine fairly similar to other builds, but test it out for yourself! Everyone's mileage varies because the age of the device, their location (cell strength), usage habits, etc... I could go on and on, but basically everyone's situation is very unique because of so many variables that effect battery life.
yeah thats true, thanks!
nice work
will be my first rom to try as i'm curious how cm would run on our devices
thanks vatoloco
Fisrt post updated
Bluetooth is listed as working. Does this include bluetooth hands free pairing?
Repartitioned my SD card and unpacked superf.tar.gz into the ext2 file system with this tutorial http://www.neopeek.com/en/stories/android/102-download-android-froyo
However when I run haret, it stucked at "failed to execute init, bla bla to default" then "cannot find init bla bla" lastly hanged at "rebooting in 7 seconds.
What could be the problem?
EDIT: nvm it seems to work now
One notice regarding superF:
I forgot to include the fix for Wifi + Data. Sorry for that. New fixed build will be out tomorrow. In the meantime you may try out Froyorider or another CM6 and give me feedback. Thank you!
I setup Froyorider-Port on Diamond 500 and it ran fine for a few hours. I then used Windows for a few hours and when I booted Android later I kept getting the following error and this is making the phone unusable.
"The application Google Service Framework (process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again".
This message keeps coming even though I Force Close it.
Managed to get froyorider running for few hours, synced with exchange and google, installed few app, tested ringtones. All went well until I decided to reboot my phone, it got stucked at the "neopeek" boot animation, just kept looping but wouldn't get into the OS
i'm using a Diamond, and the froyo ports (every single one i tried) don't seem to work well due to the low amount of free RAM available
however, i returned to the donut build and it's blazing, it's faster than even winmo itself, plus it's the only one i can use on a daily basis
would love a donut AOSP port (possible CM), hopefully you'll get to that
keep up the great work!

What makes it perfect
and what makes it not so perfect with your "near perfect" statement. Please elaborate
Just tried the CM6 official RC2 build, so far everything seems to work perfectly well, OC widget, gallery, account syncing etc, and it feels generally faster than XDAndroid AOSP system. Battery so far goes according to the trend of any android build out there, fast drain and slightly jumpy.
Overall very nice thanks neopeek!
This is my first rom for the WFS, Mainly i made it for my wife but its stable,Fast,Rosie is snappy and runs pretty damn good with the standard kernel!
I will try to update it as much as i can but its my wifes WFS and she worries about me with her phone lol
Based on the HTC Europe 2.13.401.2 RUU with some added bits and pieces.
So "Whats different?" Well try it and see how it feels! I've added quite a few tweaks and am pretty sure its the fastest WFS Rom i've tried!
I WILL UPDATE OP TOMORROW AFTER WORK!
Antutu score :1500? Will have to improve that!

or try this in terminal or adb shell

2.First boot) The ROM is de-odexed so it WILL take a while to boot up! Keep this in mind!
3.Installation) I am NOT responsible for ANY damage to your phone, Your on thee forums you accept that by flashing anything.Full wipe is recommended but not essential.
4.Overclocking) You can use overclocking kernels if you wish, make sure its compatible! I dont use them on my wifes WFS.

Flash from clockwork mod.
Thank you for the info.
I used this patch http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1447593 and is working perfect now.
I have a backup for 2.3.0 LiquidSmooth that works fine and reboots and everything.
I change a few settings such as:
-Overclock to 1350
-Change voicemail number
-Change Ringtones
-Edit the Navring
-Change the Alpha of the status and nav bar to 100%
-Update a few Data Apps from the market.
-Turn off Drymatic tiles.
-Set an Alarm
-And a few other tweaks I cant remember.
Then All of a sudden I try to Reboot and Bootloop (Ive waited 10 minutes before pulling the battery) Then I restore my backup and try the changes again and it does the exact same thing but if I dont make those changes it works fine.
Can someone Please explain to me what is going on. Im not stupid I have flashed many roms before but never seen something this strange where I dont even change the /system folder and it bootloops
(
I have restored just the /data floder with CMR and it booted up fine so it has to be soemthing in the /data folder
The phone works 100% on other roms
I have been trouble shooting for a few hours with no luck please help.
I have 7GB left in storage and the /system folder has 374mb left.
)
About 2 days later after This happened I decided to Try a different 4.2.2 ASOP rom, Axiom by DroidTh3ory. And after I got done setting it up the same thing happened D: Please help me.

I did a full wipe before Each one but I restored some data files for The live wallpaper,Homescreen, and Widgets when I flashed but It rebooted fine after that. It wasnt till I got to fine tuning my settings that I got a bootloop.
Hmm... you restored the backup and installed the kernel directly without rebooting? if your talking about trickstermod in data then i think yea it should reset someone knowing better than me can comment but as far as i know trickstermod can detect different kernels and it resets when you do flash a diff. kernel
Full wipes also an option when all else fails

Im talking about the Perforance controls built into roms settings now a days. All I do is bump it up to 1350 mHz I dont change kernels I just move the slider xD. For all these test Im on the kernels that come in the rom (Lean for Liquid not sure aobut Axiom though)
I just tested. I changed the Overclock value to 1350 mHz on my backup then rebooted so that isnt it.
Does anyone know of any Rouge apps that cause Bootloop problems after thier settings are changed or any settings in AOKP that cause bootloops
Nah, they should be the same i don't know it's a weird problem we have here LOL

I know right I have never had anything like this before I just restored my old rom but flashed a new kernel and it seems to be booting (Rebuilding davlik right now) but I dont know if that will fix it. I think having a phone that is almost 2 years old is really weighing down on the software.
Hope it works, sorry couldnt help that much.. you should try a flash install i know it's gonna be time consuming and a little work but it'll be worth it in the end
It seems to be working now here is a Screenshot of my homescreen to say thanks for helping. Just ask if you want a walk through on how to build it.
