Restore Wireless AP settings from Titanium backup - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is it possible to restore just the wireless settings of an AP or all AP's from a full Titanium backup.
I've deleted one by mistake and it was a right pain setting up.

If you've done a full backup you should have an entry called "Wi-Fi Access Points" in the Backup/Restore tab. Clicking on it an on restore should restore them.

Instal new rom but keep apps/settings

Hey,
I want to install a fresh new rom because i messed some things up. But i want to keep my apps and settings.
I came across titanium backup but i don't understand anything of it and it's not working
And i have a full nandroid backup so if i still mess things up i can always restore it.
So, how do u guys backup your stuff, then do a full wipe before flashing a new rom and restore all your apps, data and settings?
titanium backup wont back up your contacts unless you backup them to google
backup user apps and wifi access points accouts and settings etc
its not that hard to use.

I have my contacts synct with my google account but with titanium backup i have to backup every little think once at the time and i can't restore them when i have installed my new rom.
don't have to back up one at a time with titanium back up. if you press menu, then batch you will see different choices of apps you can back up. select an hit run
or you can create a update.zip which can be flash by clockwork recovery
menu > more > create update.zip

Titanium Backup fails to restore some apps

Hi, I never had this issue before, I did apps backup with Titanium Backup. After restoring to another device (same model, replacement unit), 30 out of 90 said were failed to restore. Is there still a way to restore them?
Thanks
I have found you can mostly avoid this problem by selecting "restore to original location" in settings.

Titanium backup pro HOW TO BACKUP WTF??!!?!

So all the tutorials I see say to use "menu>batch" to backup user apps/data, but there is NO BATCH!! I ran backup and it just put a bunch of gz/tar files in a directory!!! So now after I've already updated ROM to JB, TB is not allowing me to restore these files.....or am I missing how to do this?? Why is this app so damn hard to find stuff? Is there any way to restore my stuff or I will have to revert to nandroid backup and use TB again??
BTW, i'm on version 5.4.2.2 pro version
Thanks,
Click the icon in the upper-right with the check mark to get to batch operations.
And those tar.gz files are your backups.
The batch button is on the upper right corner.
And yes TB does compress the back ups.

Your question is a mess. Your thread title is "how to backup" and your jumbled post is about "how to restore".
In any case, whatever tutorials you're reading are outdated, as TiBu hasn't used a "batch" ever since the ICS version switched to using the Action Bar.
So, to simplify TiBu for you:
1) touch the the little checkmark icon the upperright corner of TiBu
2) Backup your apps and data; not system data
3) Restore later
Easy.
All the rest of the TiBu stuff is for people who aren't afraid to figure it out and/or read their FAQ (no offense)
So I've checked everything in the app.... including the mentioned "check mark" button before posting here. It is not showing any of my backup apps. I've gone into prefs and verified the backup/restore directory. When I go to that directory i see everything but when I go to batch upper right button none of the options show my apps. It only shows the NEW apps on the NEW rom and no options to restore my previous 33 user apps.
Am I missing something here or is it just not working
Sorry about the hasty confusing post...
Open TiBu
Menu/preferences/back up folder location> whole device
it will search your entire phone fit a back up folder

I did that and I already had the location correct /storage/sdcard0/TitaniumBackup ...... 48 backups.
When I do what you say and do "whole device" it reloads the TB app data. Then I go into batch options and it still doesn't show my backups...
Any ideas? I will try to get screenshots, i'm not sure how on JB yet
Clear data to set everything to default then set the backup directory again and restart the app (or the phone) This fixed it for me.

Question, after running TiBu, and if I need to restore my phone to factory (w/ root). To restore my apps etc, I need to reinstall TiBu and run the restore?

Yes.
If you bought Pro, install free version first, then pro.

[Q] Can't restore Gio with clockworkmod backup.

So my phone didn't go past the Cyanogenmod loading arrow (it just froze at one point, and then started again till next freeze) and I had to ''wipe data/factory reset'' and now phone functions OK, but before that I made backup from recovery screen. When i try to restore from recovery screen same thing happens and it wont go anywhere past the loading arrow. I'd like to know if it is possible to get my phone files back somehow from the backup?

I would like to mostly recover my ColorNote notes and vanilla calendar, had couple of important ones, but titanium backup says no backup yet.
I used this method to restore "Contract killer" game onto my newly flashed rom from a previously made clockworkmod/nandroid backup. & request u to strictly follow the steps in order & you'll be good to go:sly::
* Use titanium backup pro version.
Now,
* Install the two apps which u want to restore.
* After installing, take their backup via Titanium backup straightaway.
* Now, goto "Menu" & select "Extract from Nandroid backup".
* Select ur backup from which u want to restore.
* Now in the next screen: First tap on "Deselect all" button. Next tap on "Data only" button(to restore data of the apps). Then scroll to the two apps in the app list & mark tick before them.
* Now press "RUN" at the top of the screen to begin the restoration process.
* Done!!:victory:
Now u have ur apps with the important data!!
Hope this helps...!!
Any other app that does the same, but doesn't cost. titanium backup pro is like 5$.

If you want Titanium Backup Pro without spending money, you know where to find it :silly: . I can't tell you that as it is against xda rules.
BTW you can easily extract your data from backup archives on a PC.
Thank you all, got my stuff back, always backup!!
