If you feel like you deserve credit just let me know!!
PS: im not responsible for any damage this ROM this may cause... you know, just in case keep a nandroid before flashing
Many thanks, about bloody time
Another regional variant. I think we require more of them.
but my telstra SGS works on 850mhz without changing anything for both darky and doc roms with the default JPY modem. So not sure why this is needed. Although it'd be nice to use the telstra modem anyway as i have heard you get better signal and battery life if you use the modem specific to your carrier.
also upon googling T959TLJL3 it appears that modem isn't even the official telstra but a TELUS modem. completely different. So you may as well use the JPY modem.

thanks, mixed telstra and telus in my mind, just fixed in the OP
weird, my friend's i9000T (where i test the i9000 roms) doesn't pick it... nor my Captivate with reoriented i9000 kernel (before doing the dial thing, maybe you changed it once and it persists??)
Nah I only have to do the menu fix thingy when i sometimes play with the mobile network and it gets stuck on 900mhz network. after every rom i flash i always get 850mhz.
please delete. sorry
@Darkyy,
Have you checked this thread out?
got a couple (small) but really nice tweaks for next, version, testing since this morning

Actually I'm also running Darky V8 on my I9000T (Mexico variant, it uses 850 Mhz) and it seems to pick up the 850 band although if I do *#2263# it doesn't have an * over 850.
What does it mean?
Going by the name I expected this ROM to be themed on cold concept.

it seems to work on some by default, but its not always the case!
with this one you can be sure it has 850mhz working
@ragin for now ill keep the darkys/R64 theme, 'til i figure out how to pack another theme properly in the .zip but sure, i`d like to have a custom theme

Awesome then. Good to have this in case something goes wrong at some point.
Thanks!
V0.3 is up!! hope you all like it!
Thanks parcero....!
I hope this helps to fix the issue in my I9000 international version, it come with 900MHz and Costa Rican network uses 850MHz... I dont know what the hell I was thinking about when I bought it the 850 is shown in servicemode but cant be enabled.
EDIT:
I followed this twice... let me do all the process, but in the end step (Add WCDMA_W850[*]) works fine... but the signal is just lost completely . Don't let me use the mobile network.
Probably the hardware is not ready for that but it shows all the 850MHz options as you indicated in thread... so maybe the 850 can be activated by software... radio flashing maybe??
Any suggestion??
Padilla the International I9000 doenst have the antenna capable of 850MHz, just the I9000T and the I9000M, you wont get any signal on yours sorry

yes, bradley is right... if it has no HW support (i9000) 850mhz wont work sorry...
parce ensayate la version para i9000!
PS: due to popular request I added i9000 and Captivate versions to first post
Waiting for V0.4 here... I actually don't need the 850mhz band since my provider is Tigo (uses 1900mhz), but I need a modem that doesn't eat my battery too fast. Will this rom make that miracle at last?
Will look into this but I guess since it's based off of Darky's it does not have Portugue (Brazil) as a locale option, correct?
That's the only things that "sort of" makes me want to start reading into cooking my own roms in order to build one based off of i9000B/i9000T (?) for the Captivate.

CSC Selection for SM-G930F/FD/K/L/S/W8 devices.
Both Android Versions (MM/N/O) are supported, make sure to download the right one!
What is this for?
CSC stands for Country Specific Code, so every single country (and even different providers in one country) have different codes, for csc features, wallpapers, sounds etc. So it is quit important to have the right csc file on your phone for your provider (so you can have all features which comes with your provider (like wifi calling)).
You may ask yourself now, where can this be flashed on? Basically on every stock based rom, as well as on stock roms (who are rooted of course). So: root and a recovery (custom) are required!
Your current country is not listed below? Send me your stock csc file from sammobile.com (SM-G935F variant) and I will add it!

What exactly do you need from sammobile? The firmware files are ~2GB each. Do you need them?
2. Does flashing this have the same effect as using the "CSC Changer" tool in Phone INFO (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vndnguyen.phoneinfo)?
3. I have SM-930F, not SM-935F. Will this work the same for SM-930F?
Thanks!

Then I installed a custom Rom, now csc for DBT back. But I dont have upday but flipboard. Does someone know how to get upday? When I want to install it via Play store it says my phone is not compatible....

F.A.Q
Q: How to root it?
A: Grab Magisk from here.
Q: Does Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Camera, (dual) SIM, GPS, NFC etc. work?
A: This is a common question but asked very often. Yes everything works execpt those which are mentioned in Known bugs and issues section.
Q: My phone stucks at splash screen.
A: This means you don't have latest KitKat Bootloader & Modem installed as mentioned in installation instructions or the installation was not successful.
Q: My phone bootloops!
A: You probably selected the wrong camera sensor. Reflash the ROM without wipes and select the correct camera sensor. For all other cases make sure you followed the instructions carefully.
Q: ROM booted but there are some apps missing. Why you removed these apps?
A: I didn't, YOU removed them in aroma installer. Reflash the ROM again without wiping data and this time don't remove them.
Q: My signal constantly disconnects and shows "No Service" in statusbar or my SIM isn't working at all.
A: We're using the latest Marshmallow MSM8626 GSM RIL blobs, so make sure your baseband is up-to-date too, if that's the case then probably your provider doesn't support all network bands. So check if your provider supports 3G and 2G networks in order to have a stable connection.
Note: Some providers shutdown 3G network to focus to newer 4G/5G network technologies. It might be possible that your provider did shutdown most or all 3G and/or 2G networks.
Q: What's the difference between (n_)s3ve3g, (n_)s3ve3gxx, s3ve3gjv, s3ve3gds and s3ve3gdd in about phone?
A: The differences in kernel name or build number represents as following:
In Kernel name:
- n_s3ve3g: Samsung camera with NFC
- s3ve3g: Samsung camera without NFC
- n_s3ve3gxx: Sony camera with NFC
- s3ve3gxx: Sony camera without NFC
In build number:
- s3ve3g: GT-I9301I (Samsung camera)
- s3ve3gxx: GT-I9301I (Sony camera)
- s3ve3gjv: GT-I9301Q
- s3ve3gds: GT-I9300I
- s3ve3gdd: GT-I9300I (without NFC)
Q: Does SafetyNet pass?
A: Yes, it does. Rooting or other heavy ROM modifications may cause SafetyNet to fail, so be aware of it.
Q: Can I use NFC for mobile payments?
A: Unfortunately no, our NFC chip doesn't support HCE (Host Card Emulation) which is required for mobile payments with NFC. Only Android Beam is supported.
Q: There is no NFC option!
A: As a reminder, s3ve3gdd (I9300I SWA variant) does not support NFC, if you own one then you won't be able to use it, if not check these:
- Check if your baseband/bootloader does not start with "I9300IDD"
- Kernel version naming ends with "n_s3ve3g" or "n_s3ve3gxx"
- Make sure your battery has a NFC chip (from NXP pn547) included which is meant for S3 Neo (it's usually printed as "Near Field Communication")
Only if all cases above are present, you will see NFC option and an icon in statusbar if enabled
Q: My phone's CPU doesn't enter deep sleep. Is that a bug?
A1: Seems so but from Samsung side. Just peform a normal reboot but not while connected to any charger/usb cable.
A2: This bug has been fixed in v2.0+. If your CPU can't enter deep sleep anyway, then it's most likely caused by an app.
Q: Can I flash a camera fix from other ROMs to fix camera (sony)?
A1: If it would fix it, don't you think I would have it implemented in this ROM already? No, camera fixes from other ROMs will not fix the camera and it's highly recommended NOT to flash them in this ROM!
A2: This bug has been fixed in v2.0+
Q: My GPS does not find my location. Any fix?
A: Download GPS Test app from Google play, run it, go outside and wait 10 minutes to get your fix
Q: How about random reboots?
A: This ROM is guaranteedly not affected by random reboots
Q: Do I have to clean flash when there is a new update?
A: Nope.
Q: There is no CSC folder in /system. How to add CSC features?
A: This ROM is featured with OMC, a new multi CSC solution. Locate to /system/omc and add your features to seperience.xml (custom csc).
Q: I've selected screen recorder in aroma but I can't find it in settings. How to use screen recorder?
A: You can find it's settings in settings > advanced features > screen recorder. To start recording, pull down quick settings, search for Screen Capture tile, extend it and select screen recorder.
Q: XYZ app does not work/force closes and I want create a log to help you. How can I create a logcat?
A: I'm glad you'd like to help. Follow this xda tutorial or download any logcat app from Google Play.
Q: Will there be a nougat Samsung experience port?
A: It was planned. More info here.
Q: I can select LTE in mobile data settings. Does that mean I can use LTE?
A: No, it shouldn't even be selectable. If you can select it anyway (for some reasons) then please report it here.
Q: Does this ROM support samsung's secret codes (in phone app)?
A: Sure. Here are some useful codes:
*#1234# (SW) or *#12580*369# (HW/SW) - Version
*#06# - IMEI and serial number
*#0228# - Battery calibration (use it only if necessary)
*#34971539# - Camera firmware
*#0*# - Hardware test menu
Q: Do I have to flash Galaxy A5 2017 mods, recoveries etc. when I use this ROM?
A: NO! This ROM will not transform your Galaxy to an A5. Only flash mods, recoveries etc. meant for your device variant.

I'd remind you to have the latest kitkat bootloader and modem installed first. If you're using an outed bl&modem then you'll encounter issues with your SIM. If you're sure you have the latest one installed already then please provide more information about your devices e.g. device model, baseband version etc. and a proper logcat else I can't help you.

I'm currently using Lineage OS 16 ROM, Because the SIM card didn't work in this Rom, but my Baseband Version (in LineageOS16) is: I9300IXXUBPF2, my device model is I9300i (s3ve3gds)
This ROM is so good! Anyone has to say thank you for this I guess! It looks exactly like GraceUX from my old A3 2017 (NOSTALGIA)!
But will you ever release a rom based on 7.0? I mean TW Based Roms only base on 6.0.1 or 5.1.1 for the S3 Neo. Why is nobody releasing one based on 7.0?
Does it work with grand 2 like noble rom?
