I think this is a highly demanded notification bar mod. The old black stock htc sense bar gets old after a month and is just really dark and grim. Im not any sort of developer but for anyone who is and is willing to make a quick change to the Incredible (froyo, 8/1/10) please do so. It would be greatly appreciated!

did you want the vanilla icons as well or just a white bar?
The white notification bar is already available under ROM Manager-->skyraider's themes
Full Stock (including icons)
Thanks so much the whole nexus one look in my opinion is better than the black bar. All Vanilla icons included with the white bar would be incredible.

P.S. the skyraider version wont work on 8/1/10 it got stuck in recovery and i had to nandroid restore.

I'm currently running SkyRaider's 3.1 Sense rom on my Incredible but im having issues with random reboots, etc. I tired Virtuous 2.7 rom and its ridiculously smooth. The only thing that really bugs me about that rom is the notification bar. I hate the stock one now that ive gotten so used to the transparency. I used the Incredible Revolution theme and the notification bar was fine but i wasnt really feeling the whole red colored theme. If someone can help me out with making a zip file for a transparent notification bar like the one in SkyRaiders rom i will definitely consider buying you a beer. =P haha

im talking aboout the pull down menu that has the notifications. ive only found one with a 50% shade.
I'm also searching for this.
I would also like an easy way to modify the transparency on the notifications pull down. I haven't found an easy way yet (other than begging a dev to do it )

what roms are you guys running? i figured out how to do it.

please tell how to do transparent! the only flashable zip of it i could find only works with the stock sense launcher and still didnt work too well
Sorry if this is a repeat, but I've searched, but really haven't been able to find an answer on this... is it possible to get just a simple, black notification bar using a rooted, stock G2 rom?
I don't want to apply a theme to everything, don't want to fiddle with what isn't broken (too much). Not really interested in running a CM rom at this point, just want to have a nice dark colored notification bar that doesn't look god awful with the rest of my screen.
If it's just not doable, any possibility it might be an option in 2.3?

You have to be using a de-odexed stock rom in order to apply black notification bar. also, 2.3 will have black bar as stock but we dont know if tmobile will push out a gingerbread update for the G2 quite yet. I'd say yes but you might have to wait 6 months knowing tmobile. we will probably have a port way sooner than that though.

Remember that fix I told you about that I was trying to accomplish today? Well I started it and it messed up my entire status bar and notification window. I have the GB battery with froyo icons, and GB notifications. The status bar isn't fully black but it's not transparent you can't see through it at all no matter how bright the wallpaper is. The notification window is all black which I also want to be transparent. It's like I did the complete opposite of turning it transparent and made it like a blackout theme lol which I didn't want to do. I'm going to put the notification bar toggles in there and send you the framework-res.apk in a couple minutes.

alright shouldn't be too hard for me to fix this

I also removed all GB from the rom because it was having to many problems to find out where the error is so everything is pretty much stock. Only thing included is 4in1 reboot, 4x5 workspace and appdraw, I was putting the hotspot hack in but I don't think it worked out but I should be able to fix that.

Here is my new framework I haven't found any problems with this one. It has a 4x5 workspace, app draw, 4 in 1 reboot, power widgets in the notifications, and sprint hotspot hack. Next i want to change the dock from stock to GB, then after that work on the status bar.
Hey guys, I'm on RMK's unity. I love sense, but I always preferred the GB green images in the status bar. I can make a quick test of what'd id look like with the modified framework. Would anyone be interested? Also, would you prefer the sense two color notification bar, or the single color notification bar (ex: CM7).
Ive been waiting for a stock GB status bar for virtuous! Icons, battery, all GB. Had it on my inc1 with almost every ROM I ran and loved it. I say dev away my friend. Everyone will flash it once It's out. Okay....maybe not everyone, but lots.

I saw a screen shot of Anthena yesterday and I realized how much I miss the old white notification bar. Is there a mod on CM7 that could give me back the Athena look up there?

You could use the UOT Kitchen to change this. You'd need to upload the framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk from your ROM.
