I am ROOTED running DC 3.5 Final. I have every app under downloads in the Market checked to automatically update, however, it never does I can go into the downloads section of the Market and it will show me that Updates are available. If I let the phone sit there for a second or 2 then the programs will start to update without me having to do anything. So is that how it is suppose to work or should my programs update without me having to go into Market.
Thanks

Is anyone (besides myself) having issues downloading or installing apps from the Market?
I'm using Fresh 3.2 w/ the stock kernel
I have major problems with the market. One work around that I figured out and hopefully it will work for you too is to start your market downloads (they get hung up, right?) and then go into fresh updater and download something. I usually just download the Fresh Updater Fix over and over. The download from fresh updater triggers the market download to start. It works for me EVERY time.
what if your not on a fresh rom?
Start your market downloads then go and download something else from the internet. It should work just the same but I haven't tried it. Can't hurt to give it a shot.
Yeah I have problems hanging. I just cancel one and go back to the canceled one and redownload and starts up

market problem
I lost my paid apps tab. and all my apps in the download section went missing but its still on the phone. the market is laggy as well. whats going on? running on stock 2.2 nexus one
I have some of my apps set to update automatically and I checked my phone earlier and they seemed to have been frozen from the other day when I got a notification about updates. So I canceled them and went to re-download them and I keep getting a msg that says download unsuccessful. I've also had issues updating my flash player.
I'm running skyraider 3.2 rc yada yada yada....

backup and uninstall via Titanium, reboot, install from market.
it happens when you install new releases via .apk instead of market. Happened to me with flash/gmail when the updates appeared on market
Thanks for the reply I will try that as soon as I can...

clear your markets cache. Go to applications, manage applications, look for market and click it. It will give you an option to clear cache. Hope this helps rather then uninstalling
Hey,
I'm running the HTC sense UI, that came with my phone, which I haven't rooted.. And I would like to know if anyone could tell me how can I update programs that came preinstalled..? Because they don't show up in the market, and I would like the new updated google maps, that just came out.. in settings->about->system software update I've tried checking for updates, but still nothing..
Thanks for any help you can provide me
Yeah sometimes the market doesn't detect the apps that are already installed on my phone. I usually just click install even if it doesn't say update. Have you tried just installing the Google Maps application from the market? I believe the updated version came out yesterday.

Sometimes the market doesn't detect all of my apps as well... The fix is to clear the market cache!
clearing market cache didn't do it.. and oh well.. now i can't even find the maps on the market anymore.. so who knows what's going on ..
This happens to me too on every single ROM I've tried (stock, Cyanogen, Virtuous). There's always several apps that the market doesn't detect me as having, but the one that always seems consistent is Maps. I generally just install Maps from the market manually. This puts an extra Maps applicaton in the /data folder even though Maps already exists in the /system folder. Since I have a rooted device, I then manually delete the maps apk from the system folder.
Super simply fix. Just download aTrackdog by a0soft. It will detect every app you have installed and check to see if there are any updates. If there are you can download them either from the market or the developers website (if one exists). It will even track apps that aren't on the market, like Wireless Tether. And you don't need root for it. Should do the trick, hope it helps.
I've twice had to restore a Nandroid. BusyBox says there's an update. It's the same version as installed. Thinking update notification will go away if I update (same Version). Then my WiFi doesn't work. What's going on with BusyBox notifing about this nonexsistent/same version update? And it breaking WiFi?
Can you give me some information about the problem you are having? I manage the Busybox application on the market and I am trying to figure out why it is breaking WIFI for some...It is not happening for me so I am not sure what is causing the problem. Also, I had to do a few updates to the market today because of some bug fixes and nullpointer exceptions I introduced.
Hi Stericson
He is not alone ... Please have a look in here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1373661
Well I check the Android Market. BusyBox has an "update" available. I start the install & it's the same & current version installed already. If I backup & out of the update everythings ok. Except the update keeps showing up in the Android Market.
If I accept & install the "update", the update notification in the Android Market disappears. But my WiFi fails to connect. And after a couple minutes the WiFi stops trying to connect & turns itself off.
Btw I'm running CM7.1 signed.
Has anyone been able to get Android Auto to work using the official Marshmallow release? The first issue I ran into was that Google Play Store states that it's incompatible. I worked around this by installing it using APKPure. During the initial setup, it asks the user to allow Android Auto to show notifications on top of other apps and to turn these on in the next screens. I have enabled what I could in the settings as shown in the attachments but it still won't get past this screen. Is there anything else I could do or try?
