I did a quick search for this and didn't find what I was looking for, so here is hoping somebody out there can help.
I am running stock HTC Sense on my EVO, and it is my understanding that the HTC email app can't run two exchange accounts simultaneously but the Google-created email app can.
Can anyone confirm this, or provide me with the download to the stock 2.2 mail app?

Guys,
I did not manage to install the gmail apps... how can i retrieve it back? Where to find the apk or where to download

Did you flash gapps after flashing the rom? Please leave actual information about what you did or no one will know what to tell you without asking a lot of questions. A lot of people don't respond unless you detail the issue. I work tech support and when a lower tier escalates a ticket to me with no actual information on what was done I send it back.
Not being mean or bashing you, just giving a heads up is all

I have the Facebook app working fine but when I try to add a Facebook account in the accounts section of settings nothing happens. When I click on the Facebook icon literally nothing happens. Anyone else having this problem?

Everyone is. There are a LOT of threads on this already. Due to a failure on Facebook's part to properly use the Android Contact APIs, Facebook contact syncing is currently NOT supported.
Well don't I feel stupid. I did do a search but didn't find anything. Thanks for your help. Sorry for the duplicate thread.

No problem; the search function on this and most forums is sorely lacking anyway, at least in my experience.

Just to let you know, you can sync your contacts by getting the friendcaster app or a new app called haxsync which works really well.
Yrs haxsync works awesome

1st post - please be gentle. I have tried pretty much all of the roms for the Defy, but despite exhaustive searching cannot find find an answer: do any of the roms have an email app that you can search? I dont want to/can't use K9 or other market apps, but happy to install other email APK (is that right?). Currently on MokeeOS (and loving it) but not being able to search emails (exchange) is hurting.
Thanks in advance
PS, i tried searching both XDA and Google, and the lack of request for this functionalty surprised me - is it just me?
Guess its just me then

Thanks for reply 3. Nope, same on cm7 which I'm now running. Interestingly I tried cm9 and it has searchable email, but no camera support for my defy. So no win?

It does now. Even camcorder is (sorta) working.
Sweet, will try it. Thanks guys

Are there any apps like the facebook messenger like the notiffication system it uses where a little chat bubble pops up and overlays whatever screen its on? I have sms pop up but what i like about the facebook one is you can see the whole thread of messages and with the facebook one it just shows a bubble in the corner instaed of stopping everything i'm doing.

I was in the process of writing something like this myself, but i read somewhere that GO Sms is gonna add a feature like this. So i stopped, this was a few months back, wish i didn't stop cause i'd have it done by now xD
Ninja sms is as close as I've found.

I've been using Handcent for forever and really like it. It has the pop-up messaging (similar to the iphone) which I think it what you're looking for. Actually, its a feature I turn off every time i reflash my phone
Hope this helps.
Thanks but that's not what I need. I've had handcent and I don't enjoy it. Before I got ninja I was using 88sms which is a mix between android 4.3 and cyanogen 10.2 stock messaging and it was far better than handcent imo. But ninja was exactly what I was looking got

Would anyone happen to have a stock AOSP messaging app with quick reply and emojis that works on Alpha TW rom? Thanks

Cool. I'll try them both out. Once I find a solution that works, I stop being informed and new/better apps become popular without me realizing.

Wow its perfect thanks so much!
Give Sliding messaging a shot. The paid version has a halo like ring where you can auto reply. Not to mention it has Google voice compatibility.
