I'm currently using LeeDroid 1.8, but I'd like to replace the Sense messaging client with the Froyo 2.2 stock client.
Is there any way to get this done?
The Modaco ROM builder seems to support this option, however, I wasn't able to find the APK anywhere on the web.

I'm currently switching between two roms, OpenDesire and a rooted froyo stock sense rom. I kind of miss some stuff in both of them.
Now i'm looking for a way to combine these two. Is it possible to get the sense mail and the calendar app to work on od? Or the stock android lock screen and caller id to run on a sense rom?

You can't use Sense apps in a non-Sense ROm as they're Sense apps - they NEED Sense to run
I thought maybe you could put the parts of sense that these apps need to run into a non sense rom :-/
As mentionned by EddyOS running Sense programs on stock ROM is not possible.
But running Stock apps on Sense ROM is possible ( espacially, as you asked, stock android lock screen and caller id to run on a sense rom).
Is it possible to use the stock mail app on virtuous instead of the sense one?

I have been trying the latest Gingerbread Sense releases from OTA (RMK's version) and also Virtuous Sense 2.0.0 and the Hotmail exchange sync is not working properly. I have been using Unity for a while and the sync works fine with this ROM.
I'm wondering if anyone knows which apk's and files are needed from a Sense 3.0 ROM to replace the mail app/system and then I can test to see if the sync will work then. I have tried simply replacing the mail.apk , but that doesn't seem to work.
I have also added the email.apk file from a "non-sense" rom and the sync works fine.

I know that there is a kernel for Android 2.3 and 2.4 that allow from stock rom to get facebook sync. I'v not found anything for ICS.
Do somebody have found that ? I want to be able to use the stock rom with the facebook sync. Not with an other programm that only sync the picture!

It's not kernel related, so a new kernel won't do anything. You need a new ROM
