Mhl adapter

Can we use the mhl and a USB hub at the same time

Mhl adapter not recognizing hdmi.

Anyone have issues with hdmi out to tb. Are there and settings I'm not aware of? Using an adater I know works since I've used it on my sgs2 and gnex.

Mhl will not work, must be slimport.
