I am impressed with this community. Thank you xda devs and followers. I would be slightly askew without you.

My brother is great with phones, and has created several ROMs for the Sensation, and Nexus S, but has not released them on XDA.
What does it take for a job with XDA, and about how much does it pay? He's in college right now too.
Im just curious

lol...doing "work" on xda isn't a job. The people here create and release their work because this is a community all about sharing and learning. No one is "paid" anything, though some members like to donate a few $ to ROM developers if they like their work.
Anyone can sign up and release their ROMs or apps on xda as long as they stick to the forum rules

I've been here for a short while, best way to to show love is to hit the donate button, and just saying thank you also works.
Thanks to a generous donation from xda user attrap of another E4GT, I'll be able to kick this CM thing into even higher gear.. so a big thanks to him, and every other donator, tester, contributor.. even the mods who help keep order around here. Even thanks to the guys who steal our work, and talk ****, and secretly hope we fail.. this is for y'all! Oh and agentfuzzyface, I got another device, so you can quit crying now, k?

I am happy to see you return to the E4GT scene. Your attitude is refreshing, thank you for your time and patience as I know development can be a thankless job. For everyone who complains there are more people who lurk and appreciate your work. For all the people who "steal" they only lack the skills and/or time to do it themselves, but they flatter you enough to copy. Those who create and share better the world in their own way, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant. Thank you for sharing even when those you share with are ungrateful, thank you for creating things I enjoy.

to clarify, its never really stealing.. as its all open source, and anyone can use my work.. but there have been a few incidents recently of people claiming original work, when they couldnt code a game genie... nonetheless.. it is what it is..
Chris you sexy beast. Thanks to you too

Everybody should thank this guy here ^^
Hey Chris, when you're working on your kernel can you look into the led bug that keeps the SoC from going into deep sleep when a notification is triggered? If we can get a kernel with that bug squashed all of these "ZOMG ICS BATTERY LIFE SUCKS!" Threads will go away and I won't have to repeat "ITS A BUG IN THE DAMN LED NOTIFICATION, USE LIGHT FLOW OR BLINK TO DISABLE IT" another 1000x :banghead: your kernels are already awesome, so i know if someone can squash that bug its you with your talent :beer:
We are legion, for we are many.

This is awesome news! We already know you can dev with the best of them without a phone, but this will speed the process up greatly I'd have to think. I'll probably have this phone in my pocket for at least another year so I'm really looking forward to the great things that I know will come of this. Big thanks to everyone who made this happen.
Attrapp. Very cool dude. Chris, glad to see you got your hands on something to help you out.

True that.
A little thanks and credit will go a long way. So: Thanks for your work here. And thanks to all those others who work to keep the spirit of the community alive.
read then post, oops...move along, nothing to see here...
So remember that thread where I pretty much went on a flame spree and played the "pissed off noob", well now that I've seen a great deal of the good on this Site, I can only wish I had actually acted rationally than getting upset at one reply or lack of help.
I totally misjudged the forum and the people in it and for that, I sincerely apologize for my outrageous behavior in my past thread. There's no way really for me to explain why I reacted the way I did now, but all I can do in return is make this apology and hope I can start over making a better image of my online self.
So to everyone I flamed here at XDA, I apologize for the negativity.
Sincerest, Alex

Thanks for accepting my apology, I was way out of line. So it's good to come back and make amends.
It's all good man.
The forum is undoubtedly a little daunting for new users but once you find your feet its an incredible resource.
Sent From My Fingers To Your Face.....
Many new users behave like you did but few have the guts to come forward and apologize after realizing their mistake. Well done! Hope you'll make a very good member!

Thank you I just panicked I guess and all I had on my head to try and deal with it was rage, but I've come to terms with it being my fault, I took something way out of context that probably was meant very very minimal to what I thought it was.

@OP, fair play for apologizing though.
Yeah you shouldn't have acted like you did, but me and others told you that enough times in that thread, so I'm not gonna act like a broken record.
Seriously though, I'm glad that you've had the balls to apologize and hopefully now you can become one of the many great users around this site and enjoy it as much as us lot do
