[Q] Scratches on Vodafone touch pro2 - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

well i m posting it at the behalf of my friend...well few days ago i was fedup wid winmo and want to get rid of it asap...so i sell my previous mobile touch pro 2 to my friend and got the milestone while selling my fone to it the screen was clean like new and i was using screen protector with it..after some days my friend called me saying that the mobile got scratches on the screen , i asked him about the protector he said that for some reason touch was not working so he pulled of the protector and touch was working and he start using at normal without using the protector he thought that its screen is like the iphone so if the scratches come screen it won't be that much visible but after few days that screen got more scratches and then he tried new protector it fits the screen without creating the bubbles but again touch screen stops working .. he pulled the protector and its working again....now he wants a conclusion of it
1st is that why touch screen stops working when applying the protector
2nd any way to clean the screen without changing the digitizer because i cant get new 1 in my country and if i order it online i can get new tp2 in my country at the price of just the digitizer
me and my friend searched alot and came to know about desplex and idropper and also came to know that it damages the tocuh
Please Help
Thanks

I had heard using 'Brasso' works well to get rid of scratches and am going to try it myself soon.

^^and do you know anything about touch screen protector ??

no, that has really confounded me. One thing I would do is to try a different brand. I cannot think how a protector can create a seemingly hardware problem.

well i will try some good protectors

is the screen easy to be scratched on the T Mobile TP2

hey guys
I am a little be amazed how fast the screen has gained very very fine hairline scratches, knowing that I barely used even. I owned a HTC touch HD before and the screen was like new even after lots of use. As I mentioned I just used it maybe for a week and I always keep it in the pouch that came with it. And then yesterday all of a sudden under the light I noticed hairline scratches on some parts of the screen where I usually use my finger. I am really surprised.
Did any of you get the same experience. What can i do to solve this now

This does not solve your current problem -- hairline scratches; sorry.
But to prevent future scratches a screen protector is highly recommended. Check out various threads on the Accessories sub-forum.
I put a screen protector on my TP2 after a week of ownership (not sure if it had hairline scratches at the time) -- even though the screen-protector I got (at the time) wasn't a perfect fit for my version of the TP2. I decided that it's better to protect the screen -- with a protector that can be replaced -- than to keep the beautiful screen bare and vulnerable.

[Q] HTC 7 Mozart Touch Screen

I have recently bought a HTC mozart. I recently broke the glass of the touch screen. The touch screen still works and everythings alright except for the glass. Ive seen replacement screens on ebay. Does anyone know how to change the touch screen on the mozart? thx
That is not good news, I cracked the screen on my HD2 and I had to send it away to get replaced. With the HD2 it is a tough job as the lcd and the glass are attached and it is difficult to change glass only. I replaced glass and lcd.
Unfortunately I was not much help, but I feel your pain.
Good luck..
Well i have a LCD which is broken by fallen and which bought by ebay but i do't know how to replace it
Can't find anything on this
Would be awesome if someone made a guide of some sort.

Desire screen and cover

Hi again
So I have my Desire since 18. October and it is hands down the best phone I have ever had. Two days ago I rooted and I'm happy with it, only thing is that Desire screen has some small scratches, so I looked in ebay and fount this I have allways wanted white desire and is it just me or it looks like it comes with this screen that I would like to replace or I have to buy this as well if I want white desire with new screen?
you wont need to buy the touch screen digitizer just the covers

so covers has this touch screen glass, as I understand?

Please delete this thread.

This can now be deleted. Thanks!
If you keep the screen protector on too long it will F*CK your screen up. That's why they give you three. I'd suggest keeping them and changing at least every 4 months.
I left a screen protector on my Dare for its entire 2 years and the screen came off with the protector.... Be carful
Hey it's nice of you to put these up for free but are these necessary with the gorilla glass?

The Dare also had a thin plastic screen over a resistive touchscreen, not a glass screen like newer touchscreen devices. I had a screen protector on it for two years, as you did, and it was fine.

Hey guys,
When I got my phone I got a pack of three screen protectors with it. I put one on mine and now I'm left with two more that I'm sure I'll never use. I noticed that there are a lot of people on here looking for screen protectors.
So if anyone wants them, shoot me a PM with your address (Continental US ONLY) and I'll respond with my paypal - all I'm asking is a few dollars to cover shipping.
If this needs to be moved, I will be happy to oblige -- just thought this would be the best spot to give these away. Also, whenever they are shipped out I'll delete this thread; no need to have it on this board any longer than necessary.

I'd love to have one of these as I've never used one!
if you haven't found people yet I'm going to PM you my email address now
@LOL!!
Yes, believe me, they are. I used my SGS a month without a screen protector. After I noticed a small scratch on the screen I bought immediately a few protectors + case. It is gorilla glass, but it's not indestructible... my headphones where enough to get it a scratch, even if it's a small one - no more risking.

So I scratched my GNex...how can I get/pay for a new display panel?

So I took my shiny new toy on a family holiday and managed to get some scratches on the screen..
I'd be interested to know if anyone would have knowledge of how much a screen replacement would cost (I don't think it's covered by warranty.)
Thanks.
not a clue sorry fella , however if you was to use a screen protector you would not notice the scratchs, might be a cheap alternative to repair
if there light scratchs than i can assure you that once you put on a screen protector you will not see them (talking from experiance) as i scratched my first nexus before applying screen saver.
