help with htc touch pro2

im new to this site. i just got my touch pro2 like a week ago. starting 2 days ago it doesnt want to vibrate when i recieve a text message, it doesnt even make the sound of the incoming message. i dont know if i might hav accidently messed with the settings or what. can you tell me how to fix it or it it WAS the settings, then can you guys tell me how to change it back.

Well first of all did you change any setting in your Sounds and Notifacation settings? That could be issue, Go to Settings< Sounds and Notifiacation settings< Notification < Go under Event and look for Messaging: New Text Message, and you should see your option of things if you receive a new text message.
And don't worry I just got my Touch Pro 2 for Christmas, and I learned quick from this Forum . Already flashed over 60 ROMS and cooked my own. You can do alot to your phone, just look around in the Rhodium (Aka Touch pro 2) you will learn quick.

Phone wont vibrate for txt messages

For some reason my phone stopped vibrating when i get a txt message. This happend to my friends too like the day after he got his slide. He just took it back and got a new one since it was in the return policy.
Have you guys heard of this problem? Is there a way to fix it? I would hate to have to get it replaced under warrenty and then have to redownload all my apps and reroot and everything.

I had the same problem. Download "audiomanager widget" and check the box next to Vibrate by alerts.

I downloaded "Quick Settings" and it fixed the problem.
Now my frustration is how come my friends txt vibrate and hepic feedback stonger then mine?

[Q] weird UNKNOWN word on top when calling

hello friends, i just got my htc DHD a couple of days back and i love it. but somehow today, when i call someone, the word UNKNOWN keeps popping out on the top part of the phone even if contact details are already on screen. :[
does anyone know how to get the word off?

WidgetLocker and SMS

Hi guys - just a little issue ive got with widgetlocker.
Got it all set up how i want it but upon receiving an sms the screen on the HTC one X will turn on but no message will pop up........
Have triple checked all the settings on widget locker and messaging app ( i use GO SMS Pro) and still no good.
Messed around sending myself messages with various settings adjusted but still the same - screen turns on but no pop up!
Used to work fine with my Atrix so wondering if its a problem with ICS.
Im running stock Rom and im not rooted either.

[Q] How to stop Mcafee's installation reminders

Hi,
Everyday I get a notification asking me to install McAfee Security and Family Protection.
I don't want to install the McAfee suite on my tablet, how do I turn off those notifications?
Those notifications come from the LG's update center, that I need to be activated for the updates such as Qpair.
So did I miss something? Is it possible to have the notification for the updates of the installed apps without being bothered by those asking me to install McAfee?

I never got such a message,... I installed mcaffee once (for curiosity) and deinstalled it immediately after a few minutes of playing around with it (you have to allow that explicitely).

Edit: just realized that I disabled the automatic check in the update center... maybe that was the reason? I'll see, enabled it now...?
