I have been using the headset from my iphone and they did work fine / picking up calls with the button and hanging call too but after 2.2 the button is not longer working , The mic works i can answer the call from the phone and use the mic but i will have to go back to the phone to end the call. weird... im wondering if i should do a fresh wipe and reflash

Try 3 quick clicks to answer....where is the documented?
1 clicks pauses/resumes music
2 clicks seems to call last caller?
Long press allows Voice Dial, but then it makes it confirm on the LCD (wtf)?

Downloaded the app from the marketplace earlier today when an old friend asked me to so we could catch up. I can hear him but he cant hear me. I know i'm doing it right i push and hold the button and talk but he still cant hear me. I'm running the newest release 8/26 with working sound. Is anybody having the same problem, or is there a fix or am i doing something wrong?
I think it's because the microphone doesn't turn on for anything except calls. Other apps like Voice Search and speech-to-text programs don't work for the same reasons. I read where someone said the mic would work immediately after a phone call, so that may be something to try.
Having the same problem. I even tried using it after a call and that didn't work either

There a solution for sound now! I got TiKL to work!
In winmo call your voicemail
turn on the speakerphone
put in your password and just let the voicemail system talk
while that is going on boot android (you will still her talking during the first half of the android boot)
once android has completed booting you will hear a hissing sound coming from the speaker but don't worry it will go away
to make it go away launch any app that has sound once the first sound plays the hissing sound goes away and viola open TiKL and you can now be heard loud and clear.

This is true you also want to wait for the backlight on the buttons to turn off before doing this or they will stay on.
Hi. I want to know how to get the iphone 5 headset to work on my galaxy s3? I'm aware the volume control will never work but assumed everything else does. Some have said they have managed to get it working on their galaxy s3 either through specific software or ROM changes?
Right now I can make calls to other with the headset working perfectly, but when I receive calls from others I cannot hear them nor can they hear me. So the problem only occurs when I RECEIVE calls. The mic is really important to me.
Any help would be really appreciated.
OK. I've narrowed down the problem. The headset stops working when I press the middle button to receive calls. In other words, if I answer a call using the actual phone, the headset works fine. If I do press the middle button to receive a call, I can no longer hear the other person nor can they hear me through the headset.
Does anyone use the iphone 5 headset with the galaxy s3? Does the headset work for you?

The workaround I'm using now is to have auto-answering enabled while a headset is connected. Now i'm trying to find away to reject calls with a single click but after trying various apps I've not been able to do so.

I have a pair of handsfree headphones from my old galaxy s2 and I am wondering if there is any way I can make the button work for answering calls or skip tracks. The microphone works on calls, but I need to answer manually. Any help is good. Thanks!

I have tested with a headphone from my LG gw620 and works fine (I am on stock unrooted jellybean Moto G).
I can answer calls by pressing button on earphone's mic. During a call if I press it silences my mic and if i press it reactivates mic. (I can't end call, so)
In stand by mode a short press triggers my last multimedia apk used (radio, music, etc..) and while playing them if i press button I get pause.
Long press always ends in same end: google Voice search.

hangouts dialer problems mic not working end call speaker not working

I have a couple android phones and hangouts dialer works just fine on my rooted htc evo 3d. The galaxy s3 sprint phone has problems with hangouts dialer that maybe some one can help me with.
The microphone is not working again. Last time I did an update it stopped working so I uninstalled and reinstalled and it started working again. Today it will not work again and I tried reinstalling the app but it did not work.
The speakerphone and end call button will not work on the galaxy s3 sprint phone. when I select these items it takes me back to the main dialer page showing an ongoing call. I can not hang up and I have to shutdown the phone to end call. If I have bluetooth connected these end call and speakerphone buttons will work though.
Does anyone know what the problem is with the galaxy s3 on hangouts dialer? Maybe I should just stick to HTC phones for now on?
Same problem here. Only fix so far is using a Touchwiz ROM. Lame. Hopefully someone fixes this. Stay vocal and talk to the devs. Ive been trying to sort this out all month. No one is of much help, honestly.

I have the same problem. No one can hear me when I call them on google hangouts with out bluetooth. If I used a wired headset they still cant hear me. They can only hear me if I use bluetooth

on the latest CM11 and 12.1 (unsupported) I found that it activates the microphone on the TOP of the phone, rather than at the bottom. Not sure how to swap it around. Had to go back to stock
Hello, this issue just came up two days ago.
When I make a call or answer in call mode. I can hear the other end but they can't hear me
When I switch to speaker mode the mic turns on and now it works but always in call mode the mic doesnt work.
Thing I tried:
Disable HD calling
Clear Phone App Data/Cache
Plug and unplug earbuds
If nothing works I will reset my samsung s9 before I do any ideas to try?
