Hello,
I am willing to offer someone 20USD if they can tell me how to fix my HTC desire. I was running on a Asia ROM which was upgraded to a Euro one so i could update. Upon updating to 2.2 I have no wifi, or SD and "process system" keeps crashing
The details of the phone are:
Model A8181
OS: 2.2 (from OTA)
Baseband: 32.36.00.28U_406.00.02_2
Kernel: 2.6.29-0cb9f166
Build is 2.09.405.8
Please Help Me.
You need to flash the newest radio, should fix all your problems.
You're using a radio from eclair (2.1).
Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk
With the 2.2 ota, im not sure if there is a way to downgrade, as I read one of the devs accidentally upgraded to an OTA release. This is due to the bootloader being updated to one that hasnt been hacked yet.
My 2 cents is hold tight and hope one of the devs figures a way to downgrade, that way you could install a custom 2.2 which doesnt have these issues.
Good luck, sorry i couldnt be of much use :/
EDIT- i completely missed that flakz0r lol, can it still be flashed through recovery if he used a 2.2 OTA update? if so http://android.adamg.co.uk/bravo/radio/32.43.00.32U_5.09.00.20.zip
you still have the older 2.6.29 kernel too
flash the radio to the latest and flash one of the 101 roms people are releasing based on the new ota 2.2 as that should update your kernel

Did you download the ota update, or have you got root and installed one of roms on this forum? If it's ota I dont see how your radio can be the one you've stated. If it's a rom from the forum flash the new radio 32.43.00.32U_5.09.00.20.zip
I dont know, but it should be possible. Also, the official OTA update comes with the new radio, so i dont understand how he was able to update the rom but not the radio. That is assuming he isnt rooted, of course.

Yeah, you just need the radio. Put it on your sdcard and flash it like you flashed the rom. Dont touch your phone, let it work, takes a while.

Hi there
I just recently signed a contract with orange for the Desire.
Last Night I got rid of there crappy firmware and installed the stock Bravo firmware.
My question is, if an over the air update is released for froyo 2.2 what will happen? Will my phone download the Orange firmware 2.2, Bravo 2.2?
Or will it not work now and i will have to manually update using a downloaded firmware.
Thanks
Dion.
is it really an issue for you ??

Well yeah of course it is. I dont want to download the update over the air if its going to be Orange firmware. But if it uses HTC Generic Firmware then I will download over the air.
What happened to the help in this forum?
if you flashed a generic non branded rom ill guess you get a generic non branded froyo

I don't think it's that simple though. At least, not according to the responses I got when I asked this question recently. Official RUUs and ROMs are digitally signed, for example, and we're not going to be able to do that bit.

Hi,

I am using ACE PVT END S-OFF for the flashing process. I downloaded 2 ROMs

and I also downloaded from the official HTC Desire HD page the ROM-Upgrade HTC Media Link ROM Update for HTC Desire HD (1.11.0.0)
Here I got the following error message: MOdel ID incorrect, Update Fail!
Anyone an idea what is going wrong? Could anyone point me out which is the right ROM to use for this phone?
Many thanks!

Buddy, the BRAVO is the HTC Desire not the Desire HD...that is why the update is failing....you have to find a RUU for your phone...the code version for your device is ACE as is for the Inspire 4G. If you are S-OFF, then find a custom rom u like, flash it and once your phone is working, then look for a RUU suitable for your phone...

Hi,
I bought an HTC One X from Telecom NZ earlier this week.
I checked my phones CID, and it is TELNZ001. Is this CID compatible with JB ROM's?
Nope. Sorry
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
You will have to wait for Telecom to release their branded version. They have most likely received the base from HTC and will release it when it's ready. You could of course root the phone, so once HTC release the software for unbranded versions sometime later this month, the chefs on here should have a compatible build up within hours! That's what I'm waiting for, even though my phone is unbranded, the CID is HTC_044 which is currently not compatible with the test release!
Considering there is a LIST OF CIDs in the OP of every Sense JB ROM it's not hard to work out for yourself that a branded handset isn't compatible. Seriously, why can't people just READ rather than go straight for the download links...

But I don't get why the sales guy that sold me the phone (who also bought his HTC One X from the store I got mine from) was able to root his One X, and run the CM10 daily ROM's.
Is it possible that he has an older version One X with a different CID?

No, he unlocked his bootloader, rooted his phone and flashed CM10. It's not too hard, there's good guides on the internet (Google it) and if you need any further help you can PM me if you want.
Just FYI: CM10 is NOT a Sense based JB ROM or even close. It is however a Jellybean (4.1.2) based ROM

The CID part only comes in if you want to flash a JB Sense custom ROM. This is because you need to update your HBOOT with a signed (official HTC) zip that checks for your CID, and if it is not on the list it will simply not flash. The HBOOT update is needed for compatability with the new kernel I believe

It doesn't matter what cid you have to use a custom/cm10 Rom, the reason you need a matching cid for the jb/sense roms is you need to update your hboot to run them and the hboot needs a matching cid to flash

You can flash ARHD or any other rom which is not a Jellybean based sense rom. The CID is only relevant to change the hboot in order to successfully flash a JB sense rom.

Can anyone let me know when the One X on Telecom NZ upgrades to Jelly Bean?
I really don't want to reinstall to stock rom just to check whether it's upgraded then to find out it's not and have to revert back to present rom.
Or tell me a way to check, emailing Telecom seems to be of no use.
Thanks
I got a private message from member kskendsup saying that Telecom NZ has released the Jelly Bean update for the One X.
Can anyone else confirm this is true?
I have confirmed with HTC and with telecom also that 4.1.1 is indeed out..but there is some prob from their side and they are not accepting it...I am thrashing them as i write this reply...bcoz i called up HTC NZ and they took my IMEI and told me that i was scheduled for an update sometime at the starting of dec...so our CIDs are indeed JB but something wrong with telecom i guess...I have received mail from them and I will include that in my next post here..!!

Thank you for contacting Telecom.
We have released the Jelly Bean (4.1.1) Update Last week.
New software is now available for the HTC One X. The update will add Android 4.1.1.
It will provide some feature enhancements, stability to the memory, fixes to CPU hung issue, screen blinking, can't charge, power on/off, etc.
The update will be available through HTC's FOTA (Firmware Over the Air) server. As the files are generally quite large, we suggest to connect via Wi-Fi to a Broadband connection.

I believe the reason is that the software updates are locked down to Verizon and Vodafone network. I tried with Mobile Data off and WiFi on and it denied me. Nevertheless, your guess could be as goof as mine because I am no longer on stock.

Lookin for a stock rom for incredible 2
OK So I was running 2.3.4 and downgraded to 2.3.3 and used Revolutionary to get s-off and root and flashed the rom to phone WITHOUT Backing up my Stock Rom. I am looking for a stock rom just in case something goes wrong. I have looked in XDA but the links keep me going in circles. If anyone knows a direct link to a download. please let me know.
I am running:
android 2.3.3
Sense 2.1
Software 2.18.605.3
Kernal 2.6.35.9-6760582
Baseband 20.27W.30.0811U_1.09.01.0622
Build 2.18.605.3 CL79787
I am new to the incredible 2 and am also lookin for a Smooth Rom With the original Droid feel. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Try nitsuj's SenseM ROM.
