Blueangel Max Mod (prototype) - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

Hi, hope you guys remember me.
I have posted a guide on how to repair dents and dink + painting for ur blueangel.
I have been running a series of test (not many)
to see how i can lighten/downsize blueangel but not compromising functions.
this is the prototype of my blueangel.
in the final stage, i hope to get a glass back, acrylic sides and a full screen front. (something like a iphone 4)
but before customizing the parts, i try building a casing out of a wire mesh (FOR FUN)
results i get is not bad, thin and sleek, light weight.. just abit ugly.
Parts i have removed/mod

Nice !
You can make a transparency case and what is with the buttons?

d-two : yupe was going for a transparent acrylic casing. but kinda expensive to make in 1 piece. so im gonna make into many piece.
im gonna do away with the buttons. and just put the sleep button.
need some time to plan the dimension though

w0w what a very nice modification.
Cant wait to see when the real new casing and housing is made.

plastic piece covering the hinge between the screen and body missing ??

its come to my attention that there's a plastic piece covering the hinge on the back of the phone ?? is this really the case ?? a user on another forum says that he got back his phone without that covering, while i've never had that piece to begin with. reason i'm asking is because i'm not sure whether not having that covering (if its really supposed to be there) could compromise the durability of the hinge in the long run
would really appreciate it if somebody could post pics of their phone at a similar angle so i could check and compare and maybe use it at the service centre in case they try any funny business.
here's a picture of my phone:

I looked at mine and do not see any plastic covering my hinges. I will take a picture and upload it later when I have my camera.
thanks dude.

Does anyone know of cases for A32/A28?

It seems like only the 70 and 101's are getting all the attention. However, I do understand that it seems most have the bigger screens.
If anyone has a recommendation for the smaller models, please do tell! Mines is getting scratched quite badly due to my forgetful placement of keys and tablets.

Cut off the top part of a thick sock, turn it inside out, sew the cut off end close, turn it back right side in, add velcro or elastic. im horrible at explaining but it makes kind of a soft cloth pocket. i did it for all my pmp and my cliq.

i used the smaller of the 3 sets and it came out well. the pads didnt stick directly to the back on their own so i used a needle to apply super glue to the pads which did the job
they protect the phone/camera and act as extra grip without any extra bulk or ugliness

Bag to hold S3 with skin case?

Anyone know a bag which has enough room to hold an s3 with a mumi tpu skin case? I really need the skin case because at work and at home I want to see the phone and especially the notification led, but to carry it I want some good protection against dust and dirt. A screen protector is not an option for me. Thanks for any hints and pointers!
I was just thinking about this after i got back from golf and having the phone in the cart it got dusty. I'm probably going to use the cloth bag that you get when you buy a bottle of Crown Royal. It's free and pretty lightweight although i don't know how smooth the insides of those bags are.
Yea something like this would be really handy... It needs to be a snug fit tho. I guess it wouldn't be too hard to make with the right material although surely someone's making something like this already?
Just for completeness I've now got this sleeve. The s3 lurks out about 2mm which I can live with. I finally did apply a scree protector (dipos crystal clear) so I think I'm fine now.

Another wireless charger stand

There are some truly gorgeous stands that folks have build. The most inspiring are the ones made of wood. Unfortunately I have neither the proper tools nor skills to make something like that. Instead I worked with what I had which included a 110V MIG welder and some pencil rod. (Sort of like rebar but smooth and about 1/4" in diameter and cheap. )
It's a little crude but does the job.

I might have done a better job or aligning the cutout for the USB connector. It was supposed to slant down.
I prefer landscape orientation for this application so magnets weren't really necessary, just a stand that would hold the charger reasonably well.
(Note: This is on no way intended to demonstrate skillful welding. I would have to hire someone to do that. Like my mentor said. If all you want to do is stick pieces of metal together ... )
I haven't decided what finish to go with. I might just seal the rust with some kind of clear spray paint. First I need to rust the shiny bits.
I like it. Simple and to the point.

really well done man. id love to have one
