At the moment is not possible without a pc
No worries cheers for reply guess il ave to sort pc out and get it rooted
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
It is impossible to root a device without using some sort of external device to root it with.
If you were looking for an app on the Market, it would be impossible as you need probably would need root access to root.

Some androphones can be rooted with a simple app.
Sent from my rooted x10i using Xda app
That's true vilam as I rooted my x10 and optimus using an apk called universal androot

unrEVOked have a application that's supposed to give you ROOT - I tried it on a friends Hero without any success.
Either way: www.unrEVOked.com is such a breeze.
Just like to know if someone out there has hacked the evo to run Windows phone 7 OS on it ?

I asked basically the same question on their website and haven't gotten a response as yet. I have a amazon acct thus id prefer to use that since I don't purchase anything on the Android Market. Might be a first for this app tho. We will see!

Please do not ask for someone to post the apk for you. It will be counted as warez, and warez are not allowed on xda.
Look in to getting a prepaid debit card if you want to buys apps

does boot manager work for DZ?!
I didn't think so... I thought there was a thread talking about it before. I don't think the DZ has enough memory to do this.
Disregard, I spaced
HTC Vision is the DZ/G2.

HTC Vision = HTC Desire Z and HTC G2
this program installs the rom on to your sdcard, so you will need plenty of space and athe better the memory card the better.
I briefly spoke to the developer of this app who said that sense rom tend to have a lot of lag when running of the sdcard, but aosp roms should run without to many problems
This works with the Desire Z
yess, looks like the 16gb microsd im ordering tomorrow will go to excellent use ;D

Buy it. Please stop discussing methods of getting paid apps for free. I you wish to continue this conversation do not do it in public on xda

I don't want the app for free as i am a big supporter of this developer. I have his cpu boost pro. I just want to know are there other ways of paying for the app and getting it besides market?
Hey guys I ran into this thread while looking into some troublshooting for a desire z customer...I appreciate those who have asked not to discuss uploading it although the app has google market license so it wouldn't work anyway. We have had a few people who are looking into alternative ways to purchase as the op here wanted to do. We are considering some other markets such as amazon but currently we have been a little busy with trying to help people with the app as well as get the bugs worked out. Hopefully we can get something figured out soon. Thanks for all the support.

I really want this on my gingerbread miui it would complete the whole sleek look I'm going for. Is there any possibility of it ever working on gb? Or is there anything similar looking?

Thanks, didn't know that until a moment ago when I tried to install it on my friend's 4.1 phone and couldn't. I just came back to update my post and you beat me to it. Oops...
Damn, I even tried copying the file from jelly time over to gb, guess it's not that simple =/
Guess it's just not possible then, even the ics digital clock would work, but all I can find is the analogue one, saw an app on here for gb a while ago but I lost the thread

This one ?
Yeah that one, but the whole app with weather. Plus that doesn't link up with the alarm, I guess I'm nit picking.
I'm just trying to get the same user interface as cyanogen mod 10, tried using it but it's not stable enough for me just yet

Need help to connect my HOV in fastboot mode in windows 8.1
Can anybody help??
Check your USB port driver in device manager, if it's signed by Microsoft it doesn't let you install the driver.

I guess it's the same because I did that on win 8 then upgraded to 8.1 and it still works with no problem.

I can confirm it works on Windows 8.1 too, I did it today on my friend's laptop with Windows 8.1
