Hi all,
I am missing several apps I bought from app market after the HTC Froyo update. As a example I am able to find free versions of NoteEverything, Tapatalk and Documents To Go, but my paid versions seem to be gone...
Anyone having the same issue???
Reboot your phone.
I fixed that way. Simple
No, not really.
The apps are gone from the android market! I can see and download the free versions. But I cannot see and download the paid versions from android market.
Did not have them installed when I was updating....
Can you give some examples?
I can see some paid apps in the Market ... Probably not all, but ...
Oh yeah, that's true!
I found some of mine are not listed:
- Devilry Huntress
- CaligoChaser
- Raging Thunder
Well, it looks we need to play a waiting game again I happened before :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=665742
And before that (Legend) ... and before that (Hero) ... ... ...
This is "normal" for new update ...
So, be patient ... probably another 2 weeks
I did name some in the first post. At least I am missing paid versions of
- NoteEverything
- Tapatalk Pro
- Documents To Go
while I can find the free versions of all three apps.
National Rail is still installed on my phone but doesn't show in the market whatsoever, even if I search for it.

Bought national rail last week but can't find it on market to reinstall it??

exactly the same problem here, I think we just need to wait
Market fix is out for Froyo Official rooted update. Oh wait you did the OTA instead of waiting 3 hours and getting the rooted version.
You'll have to wait for google .........
Yeps same here:
- no more raging thunder 2
- magic gem
- Caligo chaser
Have any one try browsing the your download apps? from the market you should have a tab for your downloads. If the tab is not there then from the market click on menu then select downloads. This should have all the downloads on your account.. good look
Some paid apps missing for me as well on my rooted version of the OTA ROM. The hack doesn't work either.
Slingbox is the most obvious omission
Tried a phone reset and still not there.
My app isn't even listed in the market but is still on my phone. I know its not removed as I did an update on it the other day. I just hope I never have to reset my phone as I'd lose my app for good.

radio time missing for a few people.
I have it on the phone, but its not listed anymore as a paid app or available to download.
Reflashed back to a pre-OTA Froyo ROM and my apps are back.
HTC, thats a bit of a cockup isn't it?
It's not HTC it's google they have to update the market to recognise Froyo 2.2 for your location and device. Complain to them.

Today I found this news:
http://android-developers.blogspot.com/2010/10/android-market-new-country-roll-out.html
In particular:
"For users to make a purchase of paid apps in these countries, they must have the latest Android Market client, which we have started to make available as a self-update and should reach all users within the next few days. This is a silent update; users will not see a notification and will not be prompted to do anything."
Then I found this:
http://market.android.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=190860
And its say the latest market version is 2.07..I tried that procedure, but why my Market version is just 1.82?
So I'm curious to know what is your market version on the Desire?
****EDIT 22 Nov****: Market version is now 2.12!
No one interested on Market updates?
Mine says 1.82 as well, Debranded WWE FroYo.

Mine says exactly the same, but I am able to see paid apps also so why is the update for. I am trying to update it as the link you sent but seems not to work
No, it doesn't seem to work. Seems an odd way to make an app update itself too.

Market is only for displaying apps. Actual Market updater app is separate.
Can you share your Android market.apk ?
Beacuse my app force close at downloading
Please
Market 2.0.7 in for me, link provided.
Hi I'm in Singapore and I have market version 2.0.7.
Stock Froyo.
APK here!:

Market apk (com.android.vending)
Edit again.
--------- this reason is invalid--------
Edit: I figured out what this update does. Those on 1.8 with paid apps AND in countries which has JUST gotten paid apps only have a top free and just in tab. This one adds top paid. (compared to my friends x10 mini). U can see paid apps in 1.8 but can't see top paid.

Market Version 1.82. The updater doesn't seem to run, either.

I am on 1.82 and can see top paid top free and just in. So I dont think that is what the update really does.
Must be my friend's x10 then.
But wait... are you from one of the countries that JUST got paid apps? There's a reason why I capitalized the AND. Because the market update was intended by Google to allow those in other countries to get paid apps. So those in countries like mine would get it first, I assume.

Thank you for the apk. Got it to work. Getting the "Top Paid" tab, but unable to make any purchase. App closes saying error whilst processing Google CheckOut.

The same in Poland, my market was updated to 2.12 several days ago.
Ver. 3.1.5
Anyone from Singapore updated to Ver. 3.1.5?
If so, is the price is in SIN $ or US $?
Coz its '$1.23' after updating instead of 'S$1.23' for me now.
Should I revert back?
Have already updated CM7 Nightly market to v3.1.5...
3.1.5 also
It seems liks Google started using the new market. What do you guys think about it? I kinda like it
I downloaded the apk and tbh its well better than the old one graphically. The widget section is welcomed and the overall look is just great

I uninstalled the updates (installed 2.2.6 APK), shut down, powered on my phone, checked the market and it updated itself automagically to 2.2.7.
It looks a bit nicer than the old one, although part of me misses the tabs - it works more fluidly than before - haven't had any downloads crash out on me either yet which is a good sign.
how do you get the new market? i dont see any updates on my desire running on cm 6.1.0
One day you'll wake up and it's there. No visible updates, just Google magic.
I just got it today. When I open the market apps it there already. The UI looks good.

Downloads and installations are also a bit quicker which is nice.

More to the point, how do I get rid of it.
Using appbrain I can uninstall the market and briefly use the old one, until it updates itself again later.
And I can't believe google just added some eye candy, but the search function is still rubbish and there aren't any filters - tsk tsk.

I guess you could try uninstalling (from manage applications) and then try and find an old APK for the old market - that might stop updating itself

I wouldn't mind, except there's a big bug (on my Desire - Orange uk). Whenever my phone runs out of battery and I charge it and go to the market, then click on 'my apps' it only shows about a third of them. So I have no idea if I have any updates on the missing ones. The only way I've resolved this is to go into settings/applications and 'uninstall updates' on the marketplace. Briefly the old market comes back before being replaced by the new one, and all my apps are then visible in the market until the next time the power runs out. Very lame.

try clearing the data (and cache - why not) on the market - go back into it accept the terms and conditions, then let the apps refresh itself.
works for me

Doesn't work for me.
Also, I don't think I've had any updates for any apps since the new market came out. I'm hoping this is a coincidence and that Google tested at least that bit.
I have had updates with apps - not many but some since updating to the new market.
not sure why you aren't getting the update - maybe its phasing across handsets in some sort of random order...?

Alas, still cannot buy paid apps. It checks your carrier and if your country doesn't support paid apps, you don't get to do so online.

Is it correct that I cannot take a "backup" of my apps and reinstall from web after a flashing??? Too bad
I just tried to log on, but I get a certification failure, and if I comtinue the address is on a red background.
Works great. Click on it on your computer and it downloads and installs on your phone. My old eyes love this.
When i flash my phone, so all installed apps are deleted.. but this website shows me that the apps which i have installed before the flash are currently installed, too?
How can it be reactualized so that the online market shows me the apps correct..

Although you wiped your phone, you probably had your settings set up to back up your application information and to restore after an install. You can check that by going into Settings, and then Privacy. My ROM (aosp-CMod-20110201) has this feature, so whenever I wipe, format and flash a new update, all my apps are restored.

Very nice, this is how market should be.
Both free and paid apps work for me (Voda-NL) and get pushed straight to the phone, very convenient.
Hmm exciting?
as someone else already mentioned and shares my opinion:
appbrain rules. showing pay and free apps and relations.
So far I stick to appbrain.

Still think it should be possible to save your applist as of now so you can reinstall after a factory reset...

I'm using the latest Oxygen ROM and have been using Oxygen for a good few months anyway. My market app has never updated however and I only noticed this lately when a friend showed me the updated market on his phone.
My phone is connected to Wi-Fi 20 hours a day, yet a market update fails to emerge. Is there any way to force the market app to check for an update for itself or what can I do?
Thanks in advance for any help.

hi,
yesterday or so i was curios and thought the same "lets try the new market"
after dl and install, i thought wow looks nice
but than i looked closer, its very slow and loading icons takes a while
for me the nice feature to look "more from this dev" has been purged
the only new and nice thing is the video preview integration
cheers
ps.: if you want try it yourself
Yep been waiting for the market app to auto-update as well on Redux. Only reason I'm not doing it manually is so I know if the ROM can take care of itself or not.
Only thing I've been told is as long as you have Market Updater (in Applications > Manage > All) it should eventually receive a new market update.
Same thing here.
Using latest Oxygen and still waiting for Market update. But how guys you update manualy?
Grab one of the market files from my sig. You should be able to just install it normally by using an explorer. v3 is really slow and not built for our phone but it looks nice. v2 is better off for our phones.
oxygen doesnt update Gapps. you need to manually do it. I suggest downloading the 200110503 Gapps as it has video built into the chat. then install with rom manager or cwm recovery.
when i go to my google app store APP-----> my apps----> all :
there is this app named TestMash , and it say "installed" ... !!!
never heard of it never installed this app before !!? but when i go to apps in my phone menue it s not in there, same with titanium backup there is nothing in there !!! i m confused ...is it a virus or what is it ?
This is what testmash is. It's not in my list at the playstore. Uninstall it. You must have picked it up somewhere. Maybe it came with your ROM

Have it in my list as well, also showing as installed. No option to uninstall and says incompatible with my device. Very odd.
I have it on my One X as well. Can't uninstall, even with a third-party uninstaller ("Easy Uninstall"). IF anyone knows how to force uninstall I'd love to know (not rooted currently).
I did have the same app on my One X as well, did a reset reinstalled apps one at a time and it was back after I updated Google Maps(second app updated). As far as uninstalling app without reset it can be achieved with a rooted device. Not sure the ins and outs but know it can be done. Hope this helps some of you.
Me too
New HTC One X - got it this afternoon from AT&T store
OTA update installed.
I'm seeing TestMashed also.
So this is something apparently installed with Google Maps?
Is it possible many people have this as well?
But because it is listed in such an obscure location most users are not noticing...

I do have some details but not much
Posted here: http://forums.androidcentral.com/htc-one-x/178866-whats-weird-app-one-x.html
Apple Patents dispute, Caller ID tie in, now here I read it has to do with Google Maps? (confused)
testmashed again
Thought I was done with TestMashed until I took a look in Play Store. This time I did nothing and it was back going to try to uninstall or delete now that I rooted One X,will repost with results after I'm done. Also did not update Google Maps like in previous post so completely confused now.
