Hi,
(running MCR3.1)
I installed a 16Gb card last night, and everything seemed ok until I got to work today and it appeard Apps to Sd wasn't working.
I used Rom manager to partition the SD card, but the phone will no longer boot with the SD card fitted.
When I remove the SD card the phone works fine.
Anyone got any suggestions, apart from wait till I get home and reformat the card on my PC.
edit....ok, fixed it. took ages, but now working.

i have about 6 programs and some files on the 1 gig sandisk sd card. i have replaced the sd card and the problem continues.
thanks.
This worked for me - I don't know if this will work for you
I formatted my 512mb sdcard took it to fat32
I then ran scandisk and defrag on the card - there were lots of errors
after fixing that
I then reran the scandisk and defrag until all the errors were gone
I now back up my SD card every other day to my desktops Hard Drive
ok so today i got my new sd card in the mail. I put it in and went to boot it up and it wont go past splashscreen. Not thinking, I already deleted my old memory card and didnt back it up. What do i need to do to get my phone back up and running. I did a search but looks like all the threads the user had nandroid backup. I do not. thanks
Are you rooted? Was your old memory card partitioned? Where did you purchase this card from? Does it work in a pc card reader?
No matter what, any android phone can boot up android without an sd card, it will just tell you there is no sd card when you boot up.

Yes its rooted. I was using myn rom. I got the card on ebay. It does work in my pc card reader. I tried switching back to the old sd card (which i deleted everything ) If i remember correctly i did partition my old card a long time ago.
ok I wiped everything (cache,dalvic..) then reattempted to flash rom that i put on blank sd card and so far it has come to the boot animation screen so hopefully this has worked. UPDATE: the phone is back up woooohoooooooooo man its amazing how we panic without our phones haha
Has this happened to anyone?
I am on GB. THe SD basically causes the phone to freeze when i try to access any of the settings. What are my options here? to reformat the card? i looked at the card on a laptop and the contents seemed ok. THe SD card is a sandisk Class 10 32GB card. I haven't installed any new apps for the past couple of weeks so i don't think this is a problem

I`d copy everything off the card to my hard drive , then reinsert the card into the phone and reformat it via the phone software , then let the phone set itself back up with the empty card and see if it works . But...that working around the issue (if it works) , the root cause I`d guess as a corrupted setting on the SD card . For the record , mine sometimes throws a stroppy (every couple of months) and says the card isnt there , the tried and tested turn off/on worked for me .
b/Have you copied any program across to the SD card ? I`d try copying them back to the phone
Ok so when it's working,it's working ok. But i was just sleeping and i tried to unlock my phone: it did not work.
I took out the SD card and put it back and the phone started working.
What's up with this ? Is it the card or the phone? The card was working on other phone perfectly fine.
Soo..?
It's possible that the SD card has nothing to do with it, and it happened to start working again when you unplugged and replugged the SD card. Have you seen this happen multiple times?
i just bought a EMTEC Micro SD XC 64Gb card and it was running fine in my phone but now every now and then it pops up saying that the sd card was not removed correctly mean while i never even tried to remove and sometime my computer wont pull it when i connect my phone to transfer file to you. Ive been trying for the past hour or so to try and convert the SD card to Internal Memory and no luck , I m running LeeDroid the lastest MM Verison.
EDIT it finally Came up saying that the SD CARD i was using is to slow to be used as internal, which is very weird cause i only bought the sd card cause it said it was lol just my luck lol
