[Q] SMS bug issue

Hi,
Im having a bug issue with my stock SMS application.
Sometimes, when I send an SMS to Mr. A, the message goes to Mr. B.
Quite often that when I get a new SMS, when I tap on the SMS app to go to all the message conversations, then tap on the threaded message which has the new message, but it switches to a different recipient.
Anyone here experiencing the same issue?
Any advice?

stupid Android SMS Bug
it's finally happened.
Yesterday, I sent quite a sexual content text message to my girlfriend, BUT my employee received it.
The text I sent to my girlfriend showed up on the conversation between me & my gf, but she did not received it. However my employee received it.
How freaking annoying.
I have contacted HTC & am waiting for the answer. I bet you that the answer is: please hard reset your phone.

It's a known bug. I don't know if its solved if you flash a custom rom. Maybe try a different sms app?

Text messages failed to send. Please help!

Hey guys, just last night my Defy stopped letting me send text messages to one of my contacts!
I can text everyone fine, except for one person. I try sending a message and I get the "Message failed to send" notification. I've tried restarting my phone, I've installed Handcent SMS and I've even cleared out all my messages but it still doesn't let me send messages to the one contact!
Any suggestions on how I can fix this? I'm running the stock Telstra (Australian) ROM. I rooted it about a month ago.

That's a strange behaviour, have you tried to create a new contact and use it to send the sms?

did the number come from facebook ? ive had problems where the number stored is starting '44' rather than '+44' .....

Turns out Motoblur doesn't like me. It wiped out half of this contact's phone number that I couldn't txt.
Replaced the number and it seems to be working now.

i noticed this too bloody annoying and you can't delete the useless number without deleting all the facebook part :/

M too having a similar problem ! Any message bigger than 160char or sending s small message to multiple contacts ...... it just doesn't send ! Any help here ?

similar problem except that it keeps on showing "failed" until i edit the text and send it again...
Happened on stock ROM and still happening on CM7.2

try to add or delete "+" in front of the number

had the same problem after upgradeing to latest MIUI version. Check the SMS Center Number. For me the wipe data solved it! good luck!

The messages go but not too many at once .... ... or big page messages .

[Q] DHD text message issue/can´t send to one of my contacts

I have a rooted DHD with RCMix HD v5.9.3 ROM by capychimp. I find it to be the best ROM for me in Portugal... Still I´m having a problem when I try to send a text message to my kid who is in my contact list. When I send a SMS to this specific contact, the message is not delivered. This happens only with one of my 400 contacts. This did not append with the previous ROM (5.8)!!
Can you please tell me how to fix this?

did you try readd the contact? do you have a prefix in the contacts phone number like +something or how? try with or without prefix on the contacts information see how it acts on it[/QUOTE]
Hi Capy,
Tanks again for your time! I´m still having the same problem. I don´t think this is a prefix issue. I can´t get text messages delivered to my kid´s phone!!! In your rom 5.8 that did not happen in my DHD. My kid´s contact is the same as it was before!!! The problem started when I upgrade to 5.9.
Can you please help? I read in other forums that this is happening to other people in different ROMS!

When I want to know when a message was sent to me, I can only know when I received it.
How can I change that ? Is that a kernel issue ?
I'm using Handcent.

okay so, i just randomly, last few days, stopped receiving text messages from everyone, they get my messages but, but i dont get their's.
I dont know why this is happening and it is just annoying, ive had a few friends call me, or message on facebook asking why im not replying.
Anyone else had this problem, and did you find a solution?
im using go sms pro, on stock rom.

I was having problems with receiving texts on Bell as well when I was running the stock rom. I wouldn't get any texts for a while and then as soon as I sent one out they would all flood in. Sometimes sending out a text didn't even work and I'd have to restart the phone, so if you haven't already tried that, give that a shot (pull the battery as well, just to be sure). If that doesn't work I'd give bell a call
I'm on CM9 now and I haven't had any issues yet
