Tried running unrevoked to flash a new recovery and it ran into some problems. Now whenever I try to boot into recovery, my devices just returns to the fastboot screen. Essentially, my recovery is now missing. How do I reinstate my stock recovery? Even ROM Manager cannot get me into my stock recovery...

hey everyone, i have an sim free desire HD that was rooted and s-off and has been running like that for a while. recently i tried to access clockwork mod to try and flash a new rom but when i did so the recovery does not load. Its just stuck on the htc splash screen, it doesnt even say quietly brilliant. The phone still works but i cannot access recovery. I tried the following procedure in fastboot to re flash the recovery
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot flash recovery recoveryCWM.img
fastboot reboot
after doing this it still has not worked. Any suggestions or a certain fix would be brilliant.
Thanks
You can put the PD98IMG.zip from my downgrade post to your SD card and reboot to bootloader, it will flash you the 1.32 stock ROM and you can start from a clean table.
use an older version of recovery

I had the same problem, with clockwork 3.0.0.6 ... I then flashed 3.0.0.5 (see the bottom of the Rom manager Menu that proposes you to use former recovery roms). I could solve my problem that way.
Anyone know how to solve it?
I want to re-flash stock recovery after flash CWM recovery.
I unlocked and rooted my phone in 4.0.2, also renamed the recovery-from-boot.p and flashed CWM.
When I got an OTA to 4.0.4, I tried to re-flash stock recovery, I did and I updated to 4.0.4. After update I flash CWM and root again.
But later on I got an OTA of debug of 4.0.4, I do the exactly the same thing but when I try to enter stock recovery, I only see a red triangle.
So I tried to move the recovery-from-boot.p to sdcard and flash CWM, I can enter to CWM, I don't know where is the problem, I tried to use fastboot command to flash stock recovery from stock image.
I typed "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
I got red triangle again, Who can told me where the problem is??
fairly sure you are successfully stocked.
read down a little, it is explained:

I installed Clockwork Mod recovery but when I try to flash a ROM, it fails. I have tried with two different ROMS. Then it will not reboot once it fails. It just boots right back into the CWM recovery.
So, I was attempting to root my phone(CanvasA1- 4GB) today running stock android marshmallow(6.0.1) , I successfully unlocked the boot loader in fastboot using adb, after which I flashed TWRP recovery, Which was successful but then, When I rebooted into recovery, I saw my old stock google's recovery running , I tried 2-3 more times flashing the recovery in fastboot but the probem was still the same :crying:. Then I came to know that we have to flash a special type of boot img of some 17.5mb approx, When I attempted to flash this "boot" image, I received an error saying file size too large, Hence I couldn't flash it, I am still running the stock recovery, With my bootloader unlocked, I need to root my phone, Please help someone, Thanks in advance .
http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...-master-tool-unlock-bootloader-t2997696/page1 use this tool and flash custom recovery simple
You can search for Android One Toolkit. Iwas encountering the same problem but this app solved my Problem.
Sorry dont have Link for the Same.
Same here. I unlocked the bootloader successfully and flashed TWRP recovery. But it shows system/default recovery only. Now stuck in bootloop.
Tried clearing cache/date etc. nothing worked. Don't know what to do.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with Android 5.0 (Lollipop) and Rooted.
I've been trying to flash CWM and also TWRP without success.
I've used all sorts of methods, Odin, ROM Manager, Nandroid Mgr, Flashify, ADB, ... with the same results:
The flashing always seems to be successful but when rebooting into the custom recovery mode, the custom interface doesn't appear but instead, the system tries to boot into what it appears to be the stock recovery's three first colored text lines for a few seconds and it reboots into a loop until I remove the battery.
Then the only way to get back to the system is boot in download mode, flash either CWM or TWRP with Odin (although I know they won't actually work) and it then reboots into system.
Then I restore a backup of the stock recovery that I luckily made with Flashify and at least the stock recovery works.
(BTW, when the stock recovery has been restored, if I go to ROM Manager both CWM and TWRP are listed as "Already Installed" ... I thought that when you flash the stock recovery, any previous custom recovery is removed )
Any help would be appreciated
