Belt Holster?

I'm looking for a belt clip holster for my Captivate. I want one that holds the phone horizontally, and something with a magnetic flap. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I found one at Best Buy that fit with the soft Body Glove case on. I think the name was Rhino-case or something like that. I'm probably going to keep looking, the belt clip on this one isn't all that great.

I saw one like your talking about on one of the forums. It was an OEM holster that had a metal tag on it that said "Galaxy S". I haven't been able to find that holster for sale OR find the originally forum article where I saw it

Rajendra, I bought something similar off ebay a while back for my last phone, and the leather around the belt clip started ripping after 2-3 months of use. I'd really like something that's going to last at least a year or two, if not longer.

It looks very wide to me - for a thicker phone. Much like a lot of the universal cases.

I have the body glove case from AT&T and with that, it fits pretty nicely into the spring loaded holster case for the Droid X from Verizon! Lol
I'll put up some pics if anyone's interested or whenever I get the chance

If you could post pics it would be nice.

Best case, IMHO, is the Case Logic ITEM # CLP403SPH.
Simple clean lines, fits like a glove, black leather with contrast tan stitching and suede tan inner lining.
I search for several days and found this case at Target for $20.

Here's a little video... Sorry I was too lazy to find my camera so the closest thing was an Ipod Nano lol
One thing that does worry me about this is that the screen has to face out so it can be pretty nerve racking if you bump into things a lot...
You can make the screen face in, but it won't fit if you have a case on. It also doesn't feel so secure.
One of the main reasons I like this though is that I can keep it secured, out of my pocket, and I can still leave my earphones on it listening to music! (I messed up quite a few earphones jamming my devices into my pocket with them plugged in)

I just had to see if I liked the holster you were talking about so went to the store and asked for it. It was in the back and when he came out had a different one. I like it better and the face is in.
All it says is " shell/holster combo". of course I only used the holster.
29.99 cost. Works right though with the body glove on. Solid too.

I got this delivered from Amazon today. Seems very well made for the price, and fits the naked Captivate perfectly. Unfortunately it is way too tight with the body glove on, so it's either one or the other.

Oh nice! I really like the spring loaded feature on mine, but I think it's more important to cover the face! Lol.
Can you still plug in earphones with it clipped on the case? Is it also really easy to put on and remove?

yes it is. I wonder if just the belt clip is available separately? Don't really need the cover. Might be cheaper. Like me.

I moved from a Tilt2. I have been using a Palm Treo case since my old Tilt. While looking for a case, I used the Treo case with the Body Glove cover. I was planning to use it until I found a better fitting case. It was too tight a fit to use.
In the past couple of days, the case has been forming it to the phone and now it fits perfectly. I buy these things a couple at a time so when they wear out, I have another. It looks like I'll be using this case until I cannot find it anymore.

Trident case

Has anyone tried out the Aegis Series case for the thunderbolt yet?

No but they sure look sweet. I went to their website but didn't see that they were available.

On another note, that case looks pretty good. The blue is AWFUL... but the black looks sweet.

I'd have one on the way now too if they offered a holster that works with them. I'd have to get the green, so it'd match my Nook Color Aegis case, lol.

I got one for my Evo when I had that, and it was really cheap rubber. Don't get me wrong, I love what it looks like, it just felt really cheap in-hand.

Mine just came in. Its not bad came with a screen protector but I fail at applying them.
Everything is easily accessible (the power button is easier for me to push now too lol) and protected but I really wish it had a holster .

This thing looks exactly like the Active X case (which I have.) The difference is the Active case is all black but I kinda dig the blue.

I ordered a Cyclops series case over the weekend since I didn't want the big Kraken 2 and the idea of the Aegis' having a hard outer shell didn't appeal to me. When I get it I'll throw some pictures up for those interested, I got the red one.
P.S. First post, helpful site and let me root and flash Das Bamf GB sense 3.0 within 3 days of getting my first smartphone.

For those that have gotten it, does the rubber feel really cheap as was mentioned once in the thread? I'm liking the case too, but have kind of had it with cases that look and sound good online but received turns out looking/feeling/being low quality.

Just got my case today, I really like it unfortunately the silicone ripped within 1 minute of having the case on my phone. Its just a small part, thinnest of the case but it holds the usb plug on the phone. I emailed Trident cases about it just now so we'll see how their customer service is. Will post pics shortly.

I used to have a cyclops for my evo, imo out was the best case and I had tons for my evo, otterbox, seido, etc.
And it added a really nice grip to the phone, it wasn't to bulky with lots of protection and didn't feel cheap at all..

[Q] I need case suggestions

I just bought my Xoom two days ago and still need to find a case for it. I hear that the portfolio case scratches the tablet and can't charge unless it is open, so that is out. The highly recommended otterbox is just way too massive for my taste, regardless of the protection it provides. I don't want one that relies on Velcro to stand it up. Ideally, all of the ports need to be accessible and I want it to protect both the front and back. Something like this iPad case. www .alltouchtablet. com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/ipad-case.jpg

Trident has a case coming very soon that will be the best bet. I have the portfolio case and the gel case. The portfolio never scratched mine. Most of the time I keep mine in the gel skin because it can be used with the dock. I was looking at the otterbox to but decided to wait for the trident case. I have one on my G2X and i love it.

After looking at several cases, I went with the Motorola portfolio despite its flaws. To address these (case scratching and charging) I used a razor knife to remove the two small plastic tabs on the lower section of the case back and I added a charging hole. The removal of the tabs was suggested in another thread and it was a great idea. For access to the charging port, I heated a nut driver on the stove and used it to melt a hole about 3/8-inch diameter where the charging port is. Melting gave me clean edges and the size allows the charging plug to fit completely into the port.
I've used this case for almost 2 months now, with these minor mods, and I'm really pretty happy with it. I've not seen anything else which has made me want to change.

This is what I decided to go with after crawling the internet for answers for a couple of hours. It should be delivered today and I can't wait to try it out.

I also went with the Incipio, I had the Moto Portfolio for 2 months, I liked it at first but grew to hate it. I didn't mind opening it to charge as much, but It was just akward to hold the device with the flap folded. I ended up always taking off the case when I used the Xoom.

This is the case I'm going with as well. Thanks, didn't know about it. Not liking the folio case.

I still think the original portfolio has the best functions. But I decided against it because of the comments on scratches.
So out comes this. Same look and function as the official portfolio but it's leather with microfibre lining. And it's freaking cheap now. Get it while you can.

I have had my zooge case now for a couple of months and am very happy with it. yes it uses the velcro but I am not sure what you are scared about with it.

This case looks to be the exact same as the Verizon Xoom leather portfolio case that sells for $30 more but is black lined instead of tan. I have the Verizon version all black and to charge in stand requires folding down front flap and dropping flap behind charger unit before placing in charger.

Here is my first review among many coming for the phone. This one is about the Reiko Premium Hybrid Case.
I purchased this off ebay a few days ago and decided to do a quick review. I will do another in a few weeks to see how it lasts till then. So far its a nice sturdy and perfect fitting case. The only problem is the clips that hold the first layer together do not seem too strong. I would recommend to not take your case apart if you dont have to.
Pros:
-Tight Fit
-Good Protection
-Price
Cons:
-First Layer clips do not seem super sturdy.​

I just purchased the infuse hc case by ballistic a day ago. When that comes in ill see how much it might need to be modified in order to be used effectively. In the mean time I will keep bugging ballistic to make us their hc case.

Something i dont like about it so fR is the headphone jack space will only allow straight headphones like oem samsung or apple headphones

If you wanted to, you could cut down on that back portion of the plastic to make it allow your style of headphones.

I picked up one of these myself. Granted, I've only had it for two days, but so far I really like this case. It makes the phone quite big, bug for me that's perfect, I have big hands. For the price, you really can't beat it.

Good case has saved me a bunch of times!!! but the only thing that I hate is that it makes the phone look big but overall I recommend you this case.

Ordered and returned. I was concerned about the plastic material. Also ordered Trident & Ballistic. Kept the Ballistic for me and the Trident for the wife.

i was looking for CLip, stand but strong case its nice but the rubber on the outside unless its just super strong rubber ive seen other rubber on outside rip

I picked up the Acase slim leather case folio on newegg. It's fake leather but it still looks nice. On sale for only $20 and had free shipping. Covers the entire back and the corners. The front cover folds back to prop up the XOOM. My only complaint was that it covers the charging port when completely closed.

I ordered a ZooGue case genius along with one of their free stylus. I'm still waiting on the case but it should be here in another day or two. I hear it is *the* best case for the Xoom, but that's a matter of opinion I intend on confirming once I get mine

I'm actually happy with the faux leather one from Motorola

Long time lurker - first post.
I picked up a great case for my Xoom from Zenus Cases USA on their website. For me it's the perfect low-profile case for the Zoom. Nice leather, great fit, and has a fold back feature to prop the Xoom up. A bit pricey yes, but now over 50% off at $39 plus shipping (& tax for Cali).

Zoogue case genius is great. It's a bit thick, but it's very capable, fits like a glove, and has all the right holes in all the right places. My wife has a Motorola case that fits very poorly and blocks a lot of spots that need to be open (i.e. camera lens) so maybe see how well a motorola case fits before buying one if that's the direction you go.

Throw my vote for an otterbox. Tablet has fallen from high heights and nothing broken.

I had the otterbox case, but found it to be way too heavy for daily usage. It made my Xoom almost 5lbs. I switched to this case (http://www.amazon.com/Acase-Leather...SLB6/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1338301487&sr=8-3 ) and absolutely love it.

The portfolio case must be one of the worst cases ever. The left side is loose and doesn't snap on anymore. Good that I got it for free otherwise I would have been pissed of. I really don't recommend it

another vote for otterbox. use mine every day for work, carrying it in and out of the car and around various properties. yes its heavier but well protected; a reasonable trade off I think.

my otterbox fits perfectly in the xoom HD speaker dock too.
