A couple of weeks ago I chose LauncherPro as my default home screen, I started noticing some issues with internet browsing. Pages wouldnt load up completely and clicking on links would register on the screen but nothing would happen.
No matter what site I would go to the loading bar would ALWAYS stop half way through and not load the page at all. The only solution I have found was to download a task killer and use that right before I need to surf the net. It will make the internet work a few moments but then it will go back to not working completely.
So after a few days of frustration I uninstalled LauncherPro and started switching back and forth from Sense and ADW. Internet was working FLAWLESSLY.
I recently rooted and flashed Fresh 1.0.1 and tried to use LauncherPro again but the same issues started.....anybody experiencing the same? Any suggestions?
Anyone?

Having read of others with the same fairly major problem, I've decided to start a new thread.
It's been a few days since I flashed my Desire to a generic 1.15.405.4 ROM and today the browser refuses to load any URL I throw at it. It was working fine before. This happens when connected via GPRS, UMTS or HSDPA. Other data dependent apps are running normally so my data connection is ok. Rebooting doesn't help. What should I do next?
Happened to me as well. Kinda had it once before and at some point the browser got acid reflux and just was back on track. No idea how it happened back then. But now I'm stuck again with the same issue.
Edit: OK - I thought i could avoid this app, but go get the Advanced Task Killer and murder the Interwebz. Works like a charm!
I really don't know if I am at the correct forum, as I have more of an issue rather than a question...
So i got the Nexus for a week now and it was great until yesterday where the stock browser won't load some specific sites (which also happen to be on the bookmark widget on my homepage). Every time it loads up to 90% on the one site and sits there till if closes and returns you to the homescreen without any message. Every ''stuck'' website has it's one load percentage where it stucks. Other sites work fine.
I downloades dolhin HD and got the same issue while opera mini worked fine although i dont like it)
Any similar experience or solutions?
things i have tried:
1. Reboot
2. removed widget
3. Cleared browser data + cache
Strange. You running any custom ROM or all stock?
Browser has been pretty damn solid for me so far, and I use it quite a bit.
Hey guys.
I recently got the Arc and I am quite happy with it (coming from an x10). However I've came across a very frustrating issue with wifi. After a few days using ics my wifi has stopped connecting to the internet! It still appears in the status bar with the symbol as if its working but it comes up with up and down flashing arrows each side of it. If I try to load a web page, or load Facebook, whatever, it's having none of it and it tells me to check my internet connection.
The first time I managed to fix this after a full wipe but I really don't want to have to go to that everytime it stops, it's only been 2 or 3 days since I reset it and it's up to its old tricks..
Just wondering has anyone had a similar issue and if so, how did you get it to work again?
Thanks, Cian.
So I got my replacement phone from Verizon after my last one reset and got stuck at Verizon splash screen, and it had the newest update already installed on it. I noticed that my browser stops loading webpages and the phone has to be restarted in order to get the browser to load again. Has anyone else seen this problem or should I be concerned? I have full 4g on my signal. I try to switch to wifi and sometimes it will refresh and other times it won't
I don't have the update but the stock browser seems to lock up quite a bit. Usually force stop it and all is good when I reopen it.

Title says it all. Been dealing with it since shortly after the may update or so. I have watched YouTube videos, turned data saver off, and reached out to a couple members for help. Chrome was super fast and a joy to use before. Even when I had 20 tabs open it wouldn't miss a best. Now it freezes and lags for 20+ seconds when switching tabs, pulling the app up, when I switch wifi networks, and when I do other odds and ends too.
If I turn JavaScript off it seems to be fine, but so many things use JavaScript. I can't browse without it. Firefox doesn't behave this way. I have tried collecting various matlogs and there never seems to be any issues on them.
I've also been unable to look into my discover card credit card account. When ever I login and the page loads I'm prompted with a message that says "you are logged out." It's like it's booting me immediately, and I never get into the account. This doesn't happen in my Firefox browser. I didn't use chrome on my Galaxy s4 until the very end when Firefox started ticking me off. Maybe I'll have to go back.
What are you all experiencing, and what have you done to correct this issue if you've seen it? I'm on chrome 67.0. is anyone wkas experiencing this? Is it worth trying to uninstall updates? I don't want to really use an un-upfsted version of chrome though. I just want it to work right. Google searches didn't yield much help for this issue. There are a lot of threads about it from the 2012ish era, but there isn't anything recent.
honestly, you're issue is not common. I haven't had an issue with chrome in 3 years+.
Is this the only app you're having issues with? because if not, then there is something else going on...
What I would do is: clear cache, go into Manage Space, and clear all data. Then uninstall, restart phone and reinstall.
Try Chrome Beta if your feeling up to it - it's crazy fast and use it 3+ hours a day with 10 tabs, no issues.
I have all settings in chrome pretty much stock - always have data saver on because I use a lot of data.
Also, I use Brave browser sometimes just as a backup. It's amazing cuz it's based off of chrome. But nothing works like chrome does, thats why I always keep it my default browser. Everyone used their phone differently but for me, Chrome is always consistent and fast.
yeah...maybe clearing the cache, data, and even uninstalling the updates (as you mentioned) might set things right...
This ended up being a bad, bloated host file for AdAway. I don't remmeber the name, but I think I posted it in the AdAway thread. Mods, feel free to close this one out. Thanks.
